I’m a 5’10 size 12-10 girl and this video really struck a cord with me. I’ve watched both of you and something about seeing you both together trying on clothes in what sizes you find fit best instead of try to always do a large instead of an xl finally put the idea into perspective for me. I’ve always felt so insecure about my body both weight and height and just seeing two other people the same size as me radiating positivity together shifted something for me and now I feel like I’m at the start of really truely being at peace with myself.

Granted I have long blonde hair and blue eyes and am a size 2 now but when I was a size 10 two years ago I was confident too and still go just as much attention then as I do now. Girl all I wanna say is that my goal weight is a size 9/10. I’m currently a 12/14 and would never want to be smaller than a 9. You are absolutely perfect and a size 9 is not big at alllll💗 praying you realize your worth at a young age instead of not realizing it until you’re 21 like me. I spent many years so insecure about my body and I wish I could turn back time.
I know this comment is from a while ago, but I just want you to know, as someone who wasted so many opportunities in my teens because I thought I wasn’t “skinny enough” for things: your body lets you do so many things. Your body keeps you surviving throughout every single day. It might not look the same as other people’s bodies, but your body is YOUR body and it makes you YOU. It will carry you through your lowest lows and will lift you to your highest highs, no matter what it looks like. Find clothes (and people) that make you feel good, do what makes you feel good, and remember that as long as you are a kind, caring person who tries their best (no matter what that may be) , you are beautiful.

That's what I do as well just that I have three nieces ages 8, 10 and 13. I did this for years also with my friends and it did really help a lot. Now I don't care that much anymore. If I like something but you might see my cellulite, so what. That's natural even for skinny people like me.

Sheila Turner I realized how harsh I was on my own body when I was babysitting. This 8yr old little girl (who was actually really skinny because she did gymnastics and cheer) was obsessively trying to find workout videos on UA-cam while I was trying to get her to do her homework and I asked her why and she said she doesn’t wanna get fat. It really broke my heart to hear her say that and it opened my eyes up a lot too
This video is literally sooo good. I went to aerie the other day and looked at these suits and loved them... but didn’t even try them on because I honestly thought they would look terrible. Guess who’s going back to aerie to get a new suit soon 🙌

clar Nic you should shop petite it really helps, and sometimes if you are on the smaller side, you can find cute jeans and rompers in the children’s section

Sarah Boudousquie I’m also 6 foot and finding anything that’s one piece (rompers, dresses, swimsuit etc) that fits is really hard. and since I’m a dancer finding leotards is so so hard too. I also don’t have even ONE pair of jeans that actually reaches my ankles, they’re all awkwardly short. So I just roll them up and pretend like it’s short on purpose😂
Shoes are impossible too, I just end up buying them from the men’s section🤷🏻♀️

Anna Kennedy hi I’m a DDD too and do they have cute styles in DDD’s? I dread bathing suit season because the only supportive bathing suits for “thick” or curves girls look very plain and old lady like.
@@leilahalbertson3473 I suggest you try buying a sports bra to use as a bikini top, some sports bras have double linning (the inner white fabric) and the outside fabric feels the same as a bikini fabric, plus most of them dry quickly. It has an underwire so it supports but is very comfortable! I recommend trying them out! Old Navy also has great tops for busty girls during the summer season!

I’m so glad I found your channel! A year ago I was scared to size up into “double digits” (a size 10). I sadly had to and have felt awful about it for a while now, not I’m just so happy and comfortable with my body. You both are gorgeous.

this is why i love going shopping with my two best girl friends. we all 3 have different body types and we're able to appreciate the beauty in each other's bodies in ways that we can't always with our own. girls supporting girls is what the fashion and beauty industry should be all about.
I almost never comment on videos. But I stumbled on this in my recommended. The past year has been a journey in body positivity that I haven't made very far in. I've gained a lot of weight in the past few years and am constantly comparing myself to other curvy girls. Seeing and hearing you two talk positively about your tummy pooches and thick thighs while simultaneously being vulnerable about your insecurities and how you also compare yourself to other girls made me cry. I needed to hear that.
TL;DR, you are amazing role models, thank you for your positivity and vulnerability.

You should try Torrid, they make size 10 and up!!!! They actually make swimsuits shaped and supported for ladies with curves!
Regular stores don’t make bras or swimsuits designed for larger chests or curvy midsized/plus sized girls! So sometimes if you want to find something that really flatters your figure you have to look outside the mainstream stores! #midsizeladiesrock!
Maam have you tried Lane Bryant's or Dress barn plus my wife is a size 12 and we both enjoy that store i agree with you regular stores its a crap shoot think about a girl like my sister n law shes tall( 6ft 3") as she jokes wIth me she has a big butt and big chest difinately a double d or larger as she says!

Size really is just a number. I used to think the world would end if I was a certain size or weight. I entered recovery and I am well over those numbers I thought would be terrible, but I am so much happier now. I definitely struggle to accept certain parts of my body, but am at least to the point where I do not care what the tag says as long as it fits. You are both GORGEOUS! I love the positivity and support!!!

I wanted to tell you that you two help me so much with my self esteem. I'm also a size 12/14 and the one thing I've always been super insecure about is my stomach. I don't like how it's chubby and it jiggles and how it sticks out when I'm wearing tight clothes. I've always had a bigger stomach and always wished that it was tight and toned and lean. And then I see you two who have a roughly similar body type to me and I always think you guys look amazing. Seeing you guys reminds me that I can be confident in my own body as well and I should have nothing to be ashamed of. K Marie There are quite a few stores that offers tall-sizes now. I’m 5’9 (well, I’m 175cm, which is between 5’8 and 5’9 I guess?), and especially having short dresses, skirts and jeans in tall sizes, makes such a difference. 😃

I'm always so interested to see various people that are the same "size." I'm also a size 12 but my body is shaped so differently than these two! Crazy!
I feel like part of size is personal preference as well. Like my friend and I wear the same size even though we have a 20lbs weight difference between us because she likes he clothes super fitted and conforming and I like things to be loose and oversized. I think if we went by our measurements we’d both be different sizes, but we both prefer the same size.
I wish I had a friend to go with me when I went shopping. It always seemed like such a fun thing to do together.

I feel like when people hear "size 12" they think its huuuuge, but it's obviously not! We are average sized girls. Heck, most people are a size 10 or 12. You are both beautiful, keep it up!

I've never been exposed to a lot of body positive content before and everything you guys said resonated with me so much. Yesterday I watched a video and a girl was wearing a bralette and cardigan and I remember thinking "Wow, I wish my tummy looked like hers" and I felt bad about myself. But today, when I was getting dressed, I saw myself objectively for the first time in a long time and I realized THAT GIRL AND I LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME. The girl who I was heartbroken not to look like looked JUST LIKE ME! It's all those dang worries clouding my vision. Y'all are what we need in the world. Thank you.
I could genuinely cry watching this video. As our society has moved towards more body positivity, I have felt left out of the movement because I've either seen women much bigger than myself or women who just fit the "sexy curvy" model look. Both of those body types are GORGEOUS, don't get me wrong, but as someone shaped a little bit more like a cute potato, I didn't feel represented. Watching the two of you STUNNING women who have curves and bellies and flaunting it all made me so happy. I have hated clothes shopping for a while, but this made me want to go buy new outfits. thank you!! i'm always told "you don't look like you weigh x" but everyone's bodies are completely different, even if we have the same number on our clothing. aerie is the only place i've felt comfortable swimsuit shopping in, because seeing advertisements with other midsize people for once makes me feel like i can actually see myself as beautiful in the clothing too.
That pink/yellow & white suit looks INCREDIBLE like shut up. It's SOOOOO cute.
For the second outfit Sierra picked I would have paired it with a grey bralette instead of a blue to compliment the kimono more. Other than that ALL of the outfits were so flattering on both of you!

While I'm not a size 12 (I'm a size 8), Aerie bathing suits/clothing have made me feel SO confident in what I'm wearing. Even the website features girls of all sizes, shapes, and cultures. I find it very comfortable and not overwhelming to shop there!
When i was in highschool I was an extra small and would have to buy an extra large in rompers for the height and then take in the top part a bit to hold it up
