Horses neigh as peddlers passed over the crowded road, carrying stuffs on the wagons. Children are laughing and giggling all while running around. Merchants in small stalls calls out on the people coming forth and back. Smokes above chimneys seen; smell of cooked meals wafted along the air. “This is the Tophet City, our Kingdom resides. This is the capital. Merchants from the villages and different provinces gather here to haggle and buy merchandise.” Kroni turns to look at me as she explains. Everyone seemed not bothered by us. They don’t even dare to look, though some of the people on the street took a peek as we passed. Like other Demons, they have different eye colors, and way darker. The common color I notice is brown, next is orange and red. The hustle and bustle of the town makes me mesmerized; this seems like Medieval era like in the history of my world. Puddles show on the cobblestone road. Most of the houses are made out of bricks. And that made me realized that this is the part of the time wherein sickness is endemic. I noticed the children and others have filth on their faces. Their clothes are sloven and ragged; they don’t seem taking baths at all. That, one of the children running suddenly bumped onto me. A young girl, around 10 years old, has a balayage brownish hair and pair of horns plucked on her head. She wears a sloven shirt made of linen and pair of trousers. Though, her appearance should be like a boy, her face is different. “Sorry, mister.” Her voice is tiny and cute and continue running. Eisheth and Kroni looks at me, as I follow her with my sight from afar. “Master...?” Kroni called. “Ah, yeah...” I answered and follows them. Barrels stand at some corner and putrid smell of puddle made of dirt stands along with the business of the people. This really is different from the place I’ve been born and raised. A person like me who came from another world will find this place filthy. ~ This is a part of my story entitled: The Day I Got Summoned in Another World to Marry the Demon Queen

This would fit renaissance and medieval Imperial German cities based from my high, dark, historical fantasy novel series called the Chronicles of Sol Eldium.
You know I always found it difficult to visit these settlements. Due to being large I have to work hard at not causing accidental damage, I never bothered to learn a shapeshifting spell so I can't just blend in with humanoids like most metallic dragons, but the good news is the guards never attack me. Only reason they don't is they are well enough trained in identifying dragons to know that I will most likely harm no one unless actually provoked, so instead they simply watch me from a distance incase I make the wrong move first. This is actually a good thing. It means all I have to do is stay on the rooftop of a stable building out of reach of trouble makers where I can get a good view without accidently breaking anything and the guards will actually take measures to make sure any armed bypassers who don't know any better don't do anything to provoke me unneeded. Usually the first thing they do is they send 1 business man to ask if I brought any of my treasure with me and intend to buy anything along with 2 guards. The idea is if the business man is actually one of those people intent on needlessly trying to harm me the 2 guards are there to make sure I see them arrest him. This is a sign that the locals and I understand each other.

POV (warning: very long, and no real plot, just vibes) You wake in the morning to the sound of one of your roosters crowing as the sun shines through your window. You yawn and stretch a little bit as you get out of bed. As per usual, you go about your daily routine: first, grab some eggs and berries for breakfast, plus some bread you had bought from the baker yesterday. Then go outside and feed the animals- of which there are several. After getting dressed, it’s time to wake your 3 daughters. Life seemed perfect- well, almost perfect. It had been a good few days since the storm blew off the roof of your barn behind your cottage. While you tried your best to create a makeshift covering out of old bedsheets and outgrown clothes, your husband had to make the journey to the neighboring kingdom to buy wood and tools to repair the damage, and he was not yet back. Your youngest daughter, who is 9 years old, misses him most of all. Oh well. The day still had to go on as usual. You lead your children out the door and into the town square, where the streets are filled with all kinds of people. First, you notice the butcher offering a drumstick to a woman in line, while his young son jumps up and down, flailing his arms to get people's attention. "We don't need any of that", you say to your children as you move along. Your middle daughter, age 11, grabs you by the arm and walks with you towards the baker. You were well supplied on loaves, but the two of you each take a pastry. After catching up with your other 2 children, you cross paths with your older sister, the milkmaid. You embrace one another. It had been so long since you caught up and actually talked about life. For the past few years, it had been nothing but business between you two. When her cows weren't producing enough milk, you lent her some from your own cow. This kept going, and she still pays you back some of the money she earns from the sales. This time though, it’s nice to actually talk about other things again. Out the corner of your eye, you catch the florist and the cobbler bickering about something or another. With so much going on, it's hard to make out what they could possibly be saying. But all the hustle and bustle is put to an end with the sound of loud fanfare, followed by a procession of guards. It clicks. Wait a minute. The king and queen? Here? How? Why? They’re probably here for no reason other than they wanted to be seen. After all, Her Majesty is with child! That's certainly one way to get noticed. _I know that they have prayed for years for this child,_ you think to yourself while still in the middle of a curtsy. _I shall keep them in my prayers too._ The day continues on. You continue to encounter a number of people, before bumping into an old friend. With her are her twin son and daughter, who you're pretty sure are 8 years old. Her son runs up to you. “Hi!” he says. “Oh, hello there!”, you answer, getting on his level. “How are you?” he asks. “I'm doing wonderful, thank you". “The children have been dying to hear one of your stories again", your friend tells you. “Oh, well I'd love for you to come visit the farm sometime. I'm sure the animals would love your company", you reply. You feel a tap on your shoulder, and hear the voice of your oldest daughter, age 15. “Can we go home now?” she asks. You turn around to her, slightly annoyed, but you manage to let out a smile. “No”, you laugh, “not yet, dear. But I think I saw some friends of yours over there. Why don't you go talk to them?” She rolls her eyes, but before she can walk off, the two of you are caught in the middle of a group of dancers about to perform. You grab your daughter's hand and get out of the way. Suddenly, a thought comes to your mind: _Something's missing! No- someONE! No- TWO people! Your other daughters!_ You look around and notice your 11 and 9-year-old sitting in a crowd of other village children watching the dancers. Suddenly, all the children get up and start to run in unison through the performers in the street. You laugh for a moment, but hurry as quickly as you can to get your family all in one group again, just in time for dinner.

_I shall keep them in my prayers too._
The day continues on.
Why don't you go talk to them?”
She rolls her eyes, but before she can walk off, the two of you are caught in the middle of a group of dancers about to perform. You grab your daughter's hand and get out of the way. Suddenly, a thought comes to your mind: _Something's missing! No- someONE! No- TWO people! Your other daughters!_
You look around and notice your 11 and 9-year-old sitting in a crowd of other village children watching the dancers. Suddenly, all the children get up and start to run in unison through the performers in the street. You laugh for a moment, but hurry as quickly as you can to get your family all in one group again, just in time for dinner.
I can only focus on chickens
Understandable. That's some really cool chicken.
boa
Why there is a japanese guy yelling "Hirashaimase" in this medieval town?
A trader from a far distant land, come to sell his wares.
I think it's interesting to note that in medieval times the cities weren't the most populous places.
@Christina Reynolds Most people lived off the land, so villages.
@Christina Reynolds No, they weren't. Just more populated.
too many chickens, would be good otherwise.
Thank you!
