Most job titles don't mean much and business analysis is the function, role, or set of activities performed in analyzing any part of a business usually with the intent of making changes for the better. If at any point your job role requires you to understand or "analyze" how the business works, you are doing business analysis. Business consultants are very likely to perform business analysis activities. Also... Thanks!

Honestly, dedicated practice. I've always enjoyed drawing and the kinds of drawing necessarily for white boarding are simple (relative to artistic talent)... In reality you can get away with arrows, stick figures, and squares. I'm also a UX professional, and when I decided to go that path I started very actively modeling, sketching, and working on my penmanship...
