Thank you for taking time to make this video. it encouraged me to go find all my bits and screw lock holders organize them so I would have them when I need them instead of constantly looking for them
Great demo review LM! As a tradesman that uses an impact driver to drive screws all day long I can second your conclusions though my comment might be a bit late. Ive had just about every magnetic bit attachment I could get my hands on here in the US and the Makita is the Best out of all the ones Ive been able to buy and try which included both the Dewalt ones that you tested which are good but not as good as the Makita Mag Boost. Plus Ive tried plastic ones from Irwin and Masterforce which I did not like because they would often slide off the bit staying attached to the screw when pulling the bit away from the screw once driven. Ive also used just about every brand of magnetic bit holder for the 1" bits including the Dewalt ones with the outer plastic magnetic attachment and locking bit holder which I use for 1" bits when I need to. I do however prefer using a 2" bit or longer with the mag boost depending on the needed application. And only use 1" bits when I do not have a 2" bit for the required fastener or they dont make a 2" bit for the fastener I happen to be working with. And I have found that the Makita Mag Boost is the most powerful magnetic solution for bits that ive come accross. It will hold 3" long 5/16 diameter torx40 lags on a 2" torx40 bit. Will also hold a 3" ph2 screw on the end of a 6" ph2 extension bit when the Makita Mag Boost is slid all the way down the bit next to the impact collet so I can insert the bit into a tight space. The Makita is truely an invaluable accessory for anyone that owns a screw driving tool!
I totally agree and I'm a contractor in the USA and out of all of them makita has the absolute best one. 👌 I have a few of them in my driver bit sets. I don't like the makita gold bits they wear out fast and suck. I'd rather use the new 50x the life Dewalts screwdriver bits, or Milwaukee 30x or new 50x driver bits they last long and don't wear out like Makita gold bits. Also makita gold are $10-15 more than Dewalts 50x bits and Milwaukee 50x bits. I always look for the Dewalts and Milwaukee bits on sale for, $20 -$25 bucks and pick them up even if i don't need them. Bosch makes good driver bits also. I have a few sets of them and they last long also. I got all my Bosch sets for sale for $10 - $15 bucks at Lowe's.
Finally got around to looking at the magnetic holders and so far the Makita mag boost looks to be the best option, but now they don't sell it! Been looking for one that doesn't rely on the ring magnet but magnetize the whole bit...all I can find is knock off Chinese makita imitations that don't seem to use very good magnets. Wonder why Makita killed off the best feature of their holder (universal fit) to match the dewalt design? Now I have to figure out what fits best with my longer milwaukee shockwave bits the XPS or the dewalt DWA2SLVIR...
i like and i see how your makita bit goes on with no problem but I see how you put more effort using the Dewalt bit so the winner is drum roll please Makita

hey man, I'm new to power tools, just trying to put a fence up in the backyard got an impact driver and drill. I presume I make pilot holes first with drill then proceed to use impact driver with magnetic sleeve(I only have longer flex torque magnetic sleeve) to drive the screws in?
Apparently the Makita B-42422 has been redesigned and now sucks. The little green ones are nowhere to be found if you don't want to spend $25 off eBay (delivered). Sad

Makita sells it in a 26 impact bit set and those bits are interchange with any impact drill gun, I got me a Hatachi 18 volt brushless and then I bought me the 26 set from Makita they work great.
Your video would have been far better if only you would have placed your camera about three feet closer, or zoomed in, so the items you're describing aren't nearly impossible to see. The tools you're featuring are so small on-screen, relative to all the extraneous junk in the background that's on that's on-screen, it makes it difficult to see what you're explaining, You are also missing information in your description that gives the tools brand, model number and links to a supplier.

Great Comparison, and excellent presentation!
Well done!
Just the video I was looking for.

Hi can you tell me why when you do a close up your volume Go down I could not hear what you was saying
I enjoy your reviews you are very thorough. Where in Scotland do you stay you sound like your from East Lothian somewhere I'm in musselburgh
I can’t seem to find the old style Makita. Any idea where I can find one.
Does anyone know where to find the old style Makita or Dewalt that are shown in this video?
I saw an all metal Makita version today. I didn’t see the plastic one. What do you think about the new one?
i like and i see how your makita bit goes on with no problem but I see how you put more effort using the Dewalt bit so the winner is drum roll please Makita
You need to say the part number of makita and dewalt bit
and ideally link a website.
I just bought the Dewalt bit but it looks a lot longer.
Thanks Milto, im off to screwfix monday to buy a couple. What model makita drill is that your using? Cheers phill 👍👍👍
I enjoyed the video but we need better close in shots of the objects being tested.
Yo también uso el de Makita,y es fantástico.
Lo recomiendas..?? Se puede usar con cualquier broca

Nice cute panda you have there.
Where can I purchase the makita?

Also what setting should I keep the driver on ( high torque low speed I'd presume?)
Impact driver will put screws in no problem without pre drilling
I just bought evil just today it's so hard to take the beats out it's very hard
What is the part Number # ?
of the makita?
Has anyone got a recommendation for a impact rated bit holder?
Milwaukee shockwave seem to be really good

Why when you go to the close in shots, your audio drops 50% and can hardly hear what you are saying?
Can i have links to the bitz

No problem
Thanks, good video, however, the video was a bit dark, and could do with a bit more lighting as couldn't see clearly.
can you tell me were to get the makita part

I use them all but I like the makita magnet best out of all the ones I've ever used. Makita screw magnets hold the screws the best. 👌🤷♂
