To who ever is reading this, I hope that everything has been well. Being a Health care or social care is not easy, you have to really take care of others and make sure that you're taking care of your self as well (including mentally/emotionally- very important). Its never something to be taken lightly because it requires PROPER commitment (just being a cleaner in a health care setting/place can be difficult enough- i know from a bit of experience); you have to care for & about people in the gentle/ appropriate way that you'd want peope to care for you/ your loved ones presently and in the Future. Much respect to any one who is a health care/ social care worker and who is doing the job properly & with much care.
Thanks for the information. I would like to ask you on the ways of coming to the United Kingdom as a volunteer working in a nursing home or among the disabled.Thankyou😊
We have 1 nurse on each unit handling 20 residents. My unit is highly medical and has a very high dependency, not just a dementia unit. It's not an easy job. I have only 3 carers: 1 float caring for residents (8) who require little assistance. This carer also helps the other unit. I have 2 carers allocated to do those who are fully dependent (12).
The big problem is : short staff( money ) ,bad management and Carers, Nurs who does not like to be carer but they need a job .So desire to help old people is just formal thing.
Hi po, subscriber here. Thank you for this great video. As always ang daming useful info coming from you =). Question po, how do care home nurses earn ung cpd codes nyo dyan. I know iba ung tawag sa UK pero same idea. How do you get those? Di ba po need din un to keep your license? I hope you can make a video about it. Thank you and God bless po
Hi Joyce. Thanks for watching my vlog😉We earn CPD credit through trainings either face-to-face or online, these are provided by the employer. Meron din maraming free CPD courses online like from RCN.
hello! Can you please give examples of most health issues residents have?also emergency scenarios and how to respond to it(at least based on your care homes policy)
From taking care of my Dad, diabetes and high blood pressure (monitoring and reading to make sure they are not too high or low). I would think in a care home/nursing home it would be to monitor to make sure they don't get pressure ulcers/sores from sitting or being in one position too long.
‘High Dependency’ used to exist in my care home. Now… no one is allocated more staff or time to anyone on their zone… been doing this for the last 11 years and it’s no better now than it was.
I am a registered radiographer, but here in uk i need to register in HCPC but i cannot score 7 in ielts and mean while what shall i do to work as radiographer here in uk or do i need to study any course. Please direct me in this
Hello Corr, Liked the video. Hv a question. I am a student in UK and my wife will be joining me shortly on a dependent visa. She will be free to work anywhere in UK on a dependent visa. Can she work as a assistant nurse in any hospital in UK on a dependent visa. She has not given OET test. She is a registered nurse in India. I would appreciate your reply
Hi Druv. Yes your wife can work any job she pleases to do as there is very minimal restrictions for dependent visa holders. If ahe is planning to practice as a nurse in the UK, she must allot time for OET or IELTS, once she passed, everything will follow.
Assess the patient, take vital signs then intervene like refer to the GP/ambulance, depending really if its unresponsive because of low blood sugar or low BP, or suspected infection. Most of the residents in the care home are not for resuscitation, so you dont need to revive them.
Helo mam my profession is teaching in India . I have no experience in home care in uk.. I am in uk could u please tell me how can I get a job without experience and plus how can I get tier2 sponsorship job .. please let me know mam🙏
Kapag under a sponsored visa ka you need to finish your contract with them, tapos months before that hanap ka na ng another employer na mag issue sayo ng visa para maging senior carer. Pero if permanent resident kana (meaning 5 yrs sa UK at may ILR visa na) then pwde kang maglipat lipat ng employer.
