I agree Ken with other viewers. Your video lengths hit a good sweet spot. Shorter would be too quick. I've also seen shave videos that are 30 mins plus. Keep the great content the way it is! Take care
I use the 6S and it’s fantastic! I never tried the 6C but I heard someone say it glides along the skin better than the 6S since it’s a smoother finish. Thanks for the video, hope your back feels better!
A smooth and close shave for seven days of growth! The Rockwell 6C was my favorite DE razor until I bought the Rockwell 6S 😉 My daily shaves are with the R4 plate. I do flip to R2 for a 3rd pass and pickups. BTW, I like all your videos...long or short. Hope your "back" is back to normal soon.
Great shave. The 6C has been my regular razor to use ever since I acquired it. I often use plates 3 and 4 since they work the best for me. It was the razor I’ve always wanted, and man, does it deliver for me every time. Have a good one!
Just want to say thanks for doing what you do and taking the time to do it! You’re awesome man if people aren’t liking the length of the videos they can move on just as simple as that!
Great shave. The 6C is in my collection and is possibly my favourite - it certainly gets more than it fair share of use in the rotation. I find it to both efficient and exceptionally smooth.
The 6c was my first good razor. Still one of my favs. Today was the Muhle Rocca with a 4th.use Gillette Platinum. Couple small nicks. Thayers Lavender witch hazel and then CK in 2 U. I have back issues. Threw it out once sneezing ! Take care.
I have the 6c, and really like it. Its become my go to razor 80% of the time. I realize its not stainless steele. But take care of it, itll last for years. Great shave all around 👍
@Kensurfs, as always, great content videos on wet shaving products and techniques. Time seems not to matter for me because I always learn or improve on my wet shaving skills because of you, TYSM, GBY.
Hey Ken great shave 🪒. The Rockwell 6C is in my rotation. One of my favorites. I have one of those backs too. Like you said it takes 3-4 days to get it back to normal. I have no problem you making the videos longer 😉. Take care
Thanks for all of your videos. The Rockwell 6S or Parker Variant look like great starter razors, since they can better adapt to one's skill and shaving needs. It's too bad they don't get as many recommendations for beginners as the Merkur 34C or Edwin Jagger DE89. I hope you can try an inversion table for your back issues (or find some therapy that can help). I've had good results with one even set at mild inversion.
Oh, man... I was kind of hoping you'd share your thoughts on how the 6C compares to the 6S a bit more. I know, you can't please everyone. =) I always appreciate your videos, your honest opinions, and your insights on shaving. Thank you for all you do, and I wish you a speedy recovery!
Yep, German blade, you're right. More aggressive than other Wilky's too as are most German blades.. I have had both 6C and 6S for years, I like the slickness of the 6C a little more than the 6S but polishing the 6S may be a game changer... Great shave Ken💈💈 Heal up quick bro. Enjoy!
Hi Ken- Great shave and razor review; thank you! I think you might like the Rockwell 6C with plate #3 with one of the Gillette Wilkinson Sword blades- sounds like it would be a nice fit for you. I hope the back feels better quickly! Have a great week and best regards.
Sensing how you comment here makes the thought that a packaging of the Rockwell handle and top cap WITH JUST THE 2 & 4 BASEPLATE could be a possible good product. Maybe Rockwell could turn this into a purchase option.
Great shave - over the years and all of the razors from Aylsworth to Wolfman, I have found 2 razors that always rise to the top…. Rockwell 6S and C and the Phoenix Meta-4. I have no other razors in my collection - only need these. Rockwell got it right the first time!
Excellent shave Ken. I hope your back gets to feeling better soon. I really enjoy using the Rockwell 6C myself. In fact, I often recommend it to new wet shavers as it's difficult to cut yourself with it due to the correct angles have been engineered and machined into the razor. Which base plate do you normally use?
Hey Ken thanks for another great video/review. I’ve been wet shaving for a couple of years and watch you religiously for technique and advice. I’ll be visiting the OC next month from the UK, is there anywhere I should go for shaving products? Keep up the great work, my dreary British mornings wouldn’t be the same without you 😊
I like the typical, relatively short videos you produce. Too many You`tubers produce long videos and hence I rarely view them. Life’s too short for videos longer than about 15 mins.
I've got the 6C and it's working very well, BUT, yes, I've noticed that there is a bit of play in the parts, and it is possible to end up with a slightly crooked blade after tightening it down. Whether it's having any tangible effect though, I'm not sure - I'm pleased with the performance. I usually shave bi-daily, and use #2 for most of the work. I flip it over to #4 for a final ATG pass on my cheeks only. Because I shave bi-daily, and because #2 is very mild, I only need water for a lubricant. Re the misalignment - I now pay attention to the alignment as I'm tightening it - sometimes I'll loosen it and re-tighten.
@@kensurfs thank you for your insightful feedback on my question . As a long time vintage Gillette Adjustable user ( have both a Fat Boy and Slim) I have no modern DE Adjustable Razor yet ,to use in my shaving routine
I'm new to safety razors! Can someone please explain what the baseplate is and why/how it matters? Also the difference between blade types, thin vs thick
My beard grows thick and patchy and doesn't connect to my mustache! and my neck grows real thick and ever time I shave that area I always get nicks and red and never can shave the neck good! any suggestions how how to get the new more smoother
(1) try a wetter lather; try face-lather. (2) longer lather contact time should be better than shorter. (3) Try as many different stroke directions as you can.

Ken - the length of your videos doesn’t matter. It is the quality of the content that matters and your content is excellent. Feel better.
Thank you very much👍💈
That's right Sir

Great shave 💈I have the Rockwell in gun metal gray. And for those that want shorter videos? That’s what fast forward is for.
Very true. I use FF on other videos I watch all the time
11 minutes and a bbs shave Ken....outstanding...flawless victory🎉

No one better than you Ken. The longer the better
Great to see your smiling face despite your back ailment. Hope you get better really soon.
Ken I vote you "America's Stubble Farmer of 2023"!

You made my day 😂😂😂
Feel better my friend. I like the length of your videos the way they are. Your a very pleasant person to listen to. Take care. - Josh
Thank you kindly👍👍👍👍
Awesome razors, I have the Rockwell 2c gunmetal and use the 3 plate👌
Cheers🍻🥃
Good choice!

My favorite blade. It's made in Soligen, Germany at Wilkinson Sword factory. Sharp blade and long lasting shaves.
Really a great blade. Sharp but smooth. At my vacation i used it 4 times with no noticeable difference. 👍
Very smooth blades 👍💈
Hi Ken. Great shave as always, and I agree with Wally: Content trumps ET.
I have both the 6s & 6c. A great razor, one of the very best.
Totally agree!👍💈💈

Viewers seem to forgot another couple of options for long time lengthed videos: Skipping ahead; and play-back at higher speed.
Exactly👍👍
Good one Ken. I can sympathize with you I’ve battled back issues since I was a senior high school. Mines pretty crooked.
Sorry to hear that💈💈

Both perform about the same in my opinion. It’s just a matter of if stainless is worth the extra. It would be more durable over time I suspect
@@kensurfs Thank you for your reply! I guess I'll save up for the 6C. And if I really enjoy it, I'll then save up for the 6S. Thank you! 🙏💈
I just had my first shave with a gunmetal 6C, using the 3 plate and with Gillette Pt blades. Lovely razor, different to my Henson but great.

Burn score 4/10, nice and smooth today no jumping burn

Hi, Ken. Since you have a 6s, try using same blade and plate. Same plates, just different materals according to Ohio shaves. Who has both.
👍👍
I like the typical, relatively short videos you produce. Too many You`tubers produce long videos and hence I rarely view them. Life’s too short for videos longer than about 15 mins.
I agree
You can welcome the longer videos, if you are comfortable skipping ahead on some parts and playing back at higher speed for other parts.
Hey one question. This may have been asked already. Where did you get your crystal skull? Love your videos. Great job!
Crystal skull candle holder. eBay or Amazon has them. I got mine at Homegoods.
Im not a fan of the rockwells. had both the 6C/6S and they both had blade gap issues on plate 1-2 with my favorite blade.. Head was also too bulky
👍👍

Ken enjoy all your videos and channel. How does the Rockwell 6 C compare to the Karve DE razors ?
Both perform well, when the correct blade for your beard type is chosen
@@kensurfs thank you for your insightful feedback on my question . As a long time vintage Gillette Adjustable user ( have both a Fat Boy and Slim) I have no modern DE Adjustable Razor yet ,to use in my shaving routine
I always call the Rockwell selectable instead of adjustable.
👍👍
What would be your recommendation for a coarse beard? I shave everyday and I can’t get as close a shave as I would like.
I’d try either a Feather Blade, or a bit more aggressive razor
I'm new to safety razors! Can someone please explain what the baseplate is and why/how it matters? Also the difference between blade types, thin vs thick
The base plates differ by making the blade gap wider or narrower
The Rockwell T2 is the best!

Why go stainless vs the c version?
Some people like the solid stainless
Hey Ken, when r u gonna do a head shave?!! 😂
lol. My forehead is huge with my hairline
Non shaving question lol.... So do you actually surf? Or is your channel name for surfing through razors?... lol just curious

The T2 razor arrived that I’ll use to shave off the goatee
Kevy’s shave videos are enjoyable and entertaining, but they’re far too long, so I stopped watching them.
