I have wanted to let you know for a long time that the black & white intro to your vlog is the best I've seen. It has charm, humour, creativity, harmony and love. kudos to you and your family.
Thank you! We’re always being told that you should cut the intros on UA-cam channels because it makes people turn off if they can’t skip it. But I sort of feel that our intro is so ‘us’ that if they’re out off by it then they wouldn’t enjoy the rest of the video either!!!
I love the new intro - retains all that is Rosieres (humour, family, animals, the estate, quirky music, Marc in the digger) and a wee bit shorter than the original. Parfait!
We had such an amazing time with you, thank you so much. It’s hard to put into words just how special Rosières is, even though it was a short visit, we left feeling completely refreshed. The nature surrounding you is breathtaking! Also, Marc’s an incredible cook 😉
Looking forward to Sundays diaries. Loved watching you visit chateau Rosieres. It was funny how Marc was in shorts and T-shirt and you were all wrapped up. I know which one I’d have been. 🥂
It is a lot of work for you both but you have the most beautiful surroundings to work in. Juliette is such a darling little girl. I look forward to each episode, thank you for taking us along.
❤ it all. . Thanks for sharing your educational background, and a great visit with Stephanie and Phillip. Not to mention your beautiful children as well. Roses everywhere would be amazing. I greatly admire the courage and optimism of your community of Chateau owners.❤
Suddenly Clement has gone from toddler to little boy! Lovely mix of activities, interesting about the ground penetrating techniques, love Marc's sense of humor and always fun to see Stephanie and Phillip.
I love then chateau people get together. Great produce from the garden. So funny how everyone was rugged up ... except Marc who was in short sleeves and shorts lol
I have really enjoyed your vlog. I remember being introduced to you both when watching on the Chateau DIY before you had your babies ❤️ I follow Stephanie and was delighted to be linked to your Vlog, thank you xx
After Marc explained where the name Rosiere came from, romantic me just thought „oh, when there has been roses for centuries, surely it must be sleeping beauties castle 😅“ 👸🌹🌹🌹🏰
What a lovely, lovely couple you both are and with two beautiful children. I just subscribed to your channel with all notices. I look forward to learning more about your family and your work on your beautiful chateau. Love the laughter and the easy calm you present.
I completely adore this channel and all their hard work and planning. The family is so down to earth, growing their food, supporting their animals and each other. All is done in a beautiful chateau in a tranquil setting and idyllic views. How lucky are they?
I especially loved the introduction of Marc, Juliette, Pepper and Dave and you of course. The idea of a white rose climbing to the roof (possibly) is a wonderful idea for a chateau. Good Luck on your endeavours.
Juliette is an adorable little cherub! Her features are perfect! Clement is quite the dapper big brother!Steph & Phillip are dressed for sub-zero temps and Mark is wearing shorts t-shirt and sandals!😂
I love your channel and all you do here. What a beautiful family you have and life at the chateau with all the birds. Your dog is so sweet to follow Mom around.
Have you considered getting 'witching' expert in to walk your property and locate underground geographical features like, underground water courses, wires, pipes, and perhaps tunnels? It is old time method used to locate and find stuff underground. Skilled users of 'witching' with willow branches or wire rods can detect these resources and based on experience and the pull of the rod even estimate fairly accurately how deep below the surface said features can be found. My grandmother had tried for 50 years to find water with well digging and even drilling with various companies on her farmstead without success but much cost. Another farmer heard of this and suggested she call 'so and so' who was a skilled 'witcher' of water before she spent large sums yet again to put in another well. The 'witcher' walked the property locating a number of anomalies of varying strengths and depths that he reported to home owner, who then identified some as existing buried utilities or old structures, but the 'witching' expert located underground water courses also, with varying strengths and marked them and explained the likely depth and strength of each water course. using this advice a well was dug that produced abundant water for many decades and finally my grandmother's farm had reliable clean drinking water for indoor plumbing. As I understand it, there are ''water witching' clubs in Europe that continue to pass down this ancient skill to new generations. Skilled witchers can also use their skill to locate other targets beneath the soil and their use of the skill is highly intriguing to witness. I was a skeptic before seeing it for myself, but the proof was in his ability to locate so much buried mater on granny's old farm without prompting from her. She stayed in the house for most of the day and the 'witcher' reported his finds to a younger generation of the family unaware of some of the hidden items below the earth that were only confirmed by my granny at the end of the search, as she was alive and well when utility cables, old wells, and even old outhouses had been in service but later closed off and hidden but were identified by the 'witcher' while he searched for water sources. A low tech solution that might be interesting to try, witness, and test out on your property. Just talk to some of the 'old timers' living in the area and ask them if such a person exists locally to give it a try.
I love the cat ! There are chateaux without animals , soulless ! I was weeding in my garden which is part of the old city walls. I smashed down a garden fork and there was hollow sound. I have to adnit I left it alone because there might be rooms underneath and I did not wish to fall thorugh a ceiling ! I will explore it again when I get back to France , but very carefully !
Little Clement is adorable, showing the garden off to the visitors. Juliette never seems to make a sound, just takes it all in. Very happy vlog. Is that a family wine you are drinking?
I love the way the Chateau owners support and help each other. So kind and like one big happy family. Great vlog!! I feel there was not enough digging though!!!!
I loved watching this! The stonework through the the château inside and out is stunningly beautiful. It was very interesting hearing about the links with Lyon university, the imaging and digging for tunnels with both of your background knowledge. Your animals really love & trust you the way they follow you around. When you walked around the outside to let out the chickens, it showed the scale and breathtaking beauty of not only the château but the autumn leaves turning yellow. Loved the picturesque walk settling Juliet in her pram, picking the vegetables for dinner and chatting with Stephanie and Philip at the end. I felt transported to spending time at your amazing château!
Amy, may I say, you are such a lovely woman and I enjoy your videos very much. Thanks for your time and effort spent producing them, it is very much appreciated. I'm hoping a can pick up a little french while watching your videos. champignan - mushrooms, basse-cour - farm yard.....so far so good.
