Finally! Someone who can explain how to use pentatonics with exercises that are clear, musical and usable, Thanks Rich.
Thanks for this thorough explanation of what to do with scales
I always heard lean your scales
“. But what do I do with them?”
Thanks brother for the knowledge and grooves
It's amazing how infinite it might be to get the most out of the Pentatonic Scale, 'Ol Reliable. Cheers.
I love that Rich doesn't go off on some show-off soloing trip that makes my head spin like other teachers on UA-cam. Top notch teacher. Thanks for sharing your time and expertise.
Great lesson, Rich, as always. 👍
Thanks again Rich.
It crack me up that you named your metronome Anna one. Love your stuff. You’re making all of us better players
Playing with Brown Stone liked name Rich Brown with supersonics lessons when having exciting with him .
Thanks again Rich I always get stuck on how to use the scales.... Now I've got a better idea of getting those scales in play 👌

Learning has never being so easy. Great lesson! Thanks a lot, man
My pleasure! Thank you for watching.
wow- thanks great riff. getting that timing is essential for the groove. Thank you Mr B. Enlightening as usual.
Love the way you explain things!
What's interesting how the Am pentatonic kind of forces the CMaj to resolve itself back to the Am. The tension of the CMaj forces resolution to the minor scale.
Thanks, Rich, cool baseline pentatonic.
Thanks Rich. Great exercises.
I absolutely love your videos! Thanks Rich, you're the best! Love from Romania!

Hey there, Rich. I’m a guitar player who just started learning bass in January 2023. I found your channel and it’s very cool. Great lesson. Thanks from Robbinsville, New Jersey.
That means a lot, Ernesto. Thank you so much for watching.
Pretty Cool Man, Thanks!
And another great one! Thanks master! 🙏🙏🙏

I'm gonna steal that last riff for an improv jam im going to tonight. Thanks!
It's yours for the taking! Have fun!
Appreciate....🙏
Now you're my master. Thanks!
Thank you for watching. That means a lot. 😊
Just checking out your pick up settings … be great to chat through the VVT settings you go for … and why 😊
Hey Rich, thank you for another inspiring lesson. Of course my first thought was a reply about how it sounds good when you play it because, you make everything sound so very musical.
Thank you, Philip. I know if I can make this happen, you can too!
@@richbrownbassWhy is the Major scale different on the Bass then on the guitar they both same strings and notes? Minor Pentatonic scale looked to be same as guitar scale. Hard to see what finger is on what note sometimes. 40 year guitar playing switching to Bass but was mostly a Rhythm guitar player. Back and hands at 67 yrs old say switch to Hofner Bass!!
Question is, how are we not going to use those licks Rich? 😎😉.
Lovely Moollon Jazz.
Love The Brown'stone animation intro music theme.💯 Then," two for the price of none" I guess keep it simple. Hear the notes being played, creativity of composition happen naturally???
Thanks, Frank. I’m so glad you’re digging it.
Im using this for my Moog Monosynth
You can slow down playback in settings to practice or speed up
The Moollon sounds killer man!
I love this bass.
Great material.
Please do the relation vid you spoke of. Peace
Don't forget to add this to your Pentatonics playlist! 🙂
Will do!

We had a blast, Travis. Thank you, brother.
I feel like I missed something here, noticing youre using a different fret pattern from the last pentatonic video. Do you have any other vids where you go through that? I can see what it is but I like to follow along ":) thanks for all the content you're amazing!
Just started to learn to play the guitar. Didn't understand what you meant by the the phrase "Each degree of the scale". Could you please explain ?
Rich, what springs present what note? top to bottom
According to you is it necessary to learn staff notations... ?? I m so confused here...
What is a minor third? and flat 5?
😎
Beginner huh!?!? Can I play that in - 8th note and 16th? Thanks for the lessons really been learning a lot going over and slowing down your video to grasp the technique
I appreciate that Robert. Thank you for tuning in.
What tempo are playing in?
I do not see any link for donation 😕 😔
Sir how can I get the drum beats?????????
So essentially the Major Scale(C) notes work for the Relative minor(Aminor) pentatonic as well? Have only been at Bass for 4 months, but have played piano 40yrs so i get theory. Weirdly, i never official dived into Pentatonics
Yes, absolutely! Because they're the same notes starting from different degrees.
C major pentatonic - CDEGA
A minor pentatonic - ACDEG
Make sense? I hope so. Thanks for watching!
@@richbrownbass100% makes sense. Thank you sir!
