- Hey there, friends and neighbours!
This is part three of the Pentatonic Series. In this lesson, we'll take the Pentatonic shapes (discussed in previous lessons) to create beautiful chords. I'll also show you how you can use any of these shapes to play over any of these chords. This is like getting TWO lessons for the price of NO lessons!
LET'S TAKE IT TO THE BASS!

Nothing better, than a Brownstone lesson on a saturday morning. I am sure this will inspire me in future solos!

Thanks for sharing. I have lessons later today. I love learning from you and then going into my lessons and showing off 😅. My instructor digs my inthusasim 😅✌️
Totally Inspired - I Definitely Freaked Out When You Said That We Would Not Be Accessing The A String - How Can That Be Because The C Major ALWAYS Uses The A String - This Tutorial Flipping Rocks - Thank You So Much For Not Labeling The Chords But Rather Just Playing With The Chords Without Using The A String - Floored By How Simple AND Cool This Particular Episode Worked Out To Be - Now My Fingers Just Aren't Strong Enough And/Or Coordinated Enough To Hold These Chords BUT Some Day My Friend - Some Day - More Importantly , Thanx A Million For This Whole Series !!! So Useful !! So Dang Grateful
Go Team Human ,
Cheers

Rich, I so appreciate your teaching! I'm a guitarist getting started on bass. Your lessons are really unlocking the fretboard on both instruments that I never saw before. Thank you!❤

Nice Idea!🙂
Beautiful phrasing … just makes it
Love a bit of theory on those shapes/inversions
Beautiful playing mmmmm!🫡
Thank you so much.
The best of youtube brownstone.
Thanks!
Thank you for watching.
sweeeeet!
Eye opener. Thanks for this one bro.
Never realized that all of those chords were part of C major. T paraphrase S. Devine, DUUUDE!
Great Lesson,
Curious if you have phrasing with the diagonal scaffolding of the Pentatonic instead of the Horizontal Pentatonic so it avoids the monotiness sound?
Sweet playing Rich. Are there any effects on the opening?
Thank you very much. No, the loop and the solo have no effects on them.
@richbrownbass your hands are melodic weapons.
Great lesson as always. A bit off topic, but wondering if you've ever done a lesson on swing feel? I find swing is much harder than I thought. It's such a feel thing and it's so easy to get off rhythm. Currently really working on it and hoping to find some good drills somewhere. Thanks!
Thank you so much. I've only touched on that topic a little in an old video. See if this helps.

Swing=3 funk=4.
Rich what pedal effect are you using?
So you’re saying that you’re harmonizing the c major pentatonic scale, using a particular chord voicing going up the neck, is that right? As long as you play a C major pentatonic scale against the voicing, all is cool? Nice!
MAESTRO PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT THE TIME IN PLAYING.!) IT'S LIKE COMPUTER? MARCUS MILLER IS COMPUTER IN RITM AND PHYSIC?IT'S CALLED REACTION AND HE IS WHERY FAST ?
And what about your time? About your secret ?about special physic in notes!? It's accents and echo between 2 notes?

Beethoven is all Pentatonic !.
