Rich, I so appreciate your teaching! I'm a guitarist getting started on bass. Your lessons are really unlocking the fretboard on both instruments that I never saw before. Thank you!❤
Thanks for sharing. I have lessons later today. I love learning from you and then going into my lessons and showing off 😅. My instructor digs my inthusasim 😅✌️
Great Lesson, Curious if you have phrasing with the diagonal scaffolding of the Pentatonic instead of the Horizontal Pentatonic so it avoids the monotiness sound?
Great lesson as always. A bit off topic, but wondering if you've ever done a lesson on swing feel? I find swing is much harder than I thought. It's such a feel thing and it's so easy to get off rhythm. Currently really working on it and hoping to find some good drills somewhere. Thanks!
Thank you so much. I've only touched on that topic a little in an old video. See if this helps. ua-cam.com/video/ErXtEyt8moo/v-deo.htmlsi=Np9tkTQoMQlLJu5U
Can I ask..if at the beginning where you using inversions with that solo? And also is inversions when doing bass fills runs solos a thing? I just feel like whatever scale or triad or any shape on bass can be an inversions? Is this what all the greats do?
MAESTRO PLEASE TELL ME ABOUT THE TIME IN PLAYING.!) IT'S LIKE COMPUTER? MARCUS MILLER IS COMPUTER IN RITM AND PHYSIC?IT'S CALLED REACTION AND HE IS WHERY FAST ?
So you’re saying that you’re harmonizing the c major pentatonic scale, using a particular chord voicing going up the neck, is that right? As long as you play a C major pentatonic scale against the voicing, all is cool? Nice!
Nothing better, than a Brownstone lesson on a saturday morning. I am sure this will inspire me in future solos!
Ahh, that tone and phrasing. Sublime.

Great Lesson,
Curious if you have phrasing with the diagonal scaffolding of the Pentatonic instead of the Horizontal Pentatonic so it avoids the monotiness sound?
Sweet playing Rich. Are there any effects on the opening?
Thank you very much. No, the loop and the solo have no effects on them.
@richbrownbass your hands are melodic weapons.
Rich what pedal effect are you using?
Never realized that all of those chords were part of C major. T paraphrase S. Devine, DUUUDE!
