- Border View Farms is a mid sized family farm that sits on the Ohio-Michigan border. We raise corn, soybeans, and wheat on a little over 3,000 acres.
My name is Nathan. I run this channel and farm with my dad, Mark and uncle, Phil. I started making these videos in the fall of 2019 as a way to help show what I do on a daily basis as a farmer. I get questions about how and why we do things on the farm frequently, even from my own family members, so to help explain things it's easier to just show you. I hope that I can address questions or concerns that you might have about farms and agriculture in general as well as dispel some of the common misconceptions.
I hope you enjoy my content and please ask questions as you have them. I do my best to answer anything I can.
I appreciate you subscribing to my channel and liking my videos.
You can reach me through messages on Facebook or Instagram @borderviewfarms or by email bakernth@gmail.com. Please don't call my parents house!
OH, Thank God. I hate not being able to watch your daily video. Throws my day off !!!
Makes the tractor look even more sweet being all shined up
That plastic turned out nice. Great job
You are doing a beautiful job on that tractor.
Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you and your family... I do love a shiny Deere tractor... and it shows how much pride you have to keep them clean and shiny! You take care of them and they’ll take care of you.. great video.
Thats one shiny and good looking tractor.
Hope you and your family had a great Christmas and the boys got a bigger tractor for the corn planter.
That 4WD is looking nice. I prefer Mother Truckers wax myself. Love your videos Nathan. Keep em coming.
I use Griots Garage compounds. Long working cycles, easy to buff off the residue, great stuff. And I put Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light then add Gtechniq EXO for a sacrificial hydrophobic layer then I’m done with it for usually around 5+ years
The orange and gray plugs are Deustch connectors the others are Weatherpack, your local NAPA should have them available..
Looks good sir
this would be great to apply to a brand new machine.
9r looks brand new! Wish I could hire you to do mine😂
Nathan, the plastic panels are painted with the same paint as the metal parts. That means you can use the same compounds and polishes on them as well (to include the ceramic).
I don't think they are. They are colored plastic and the same through the whole thickness.
don't forget the roof on the tractor
I can't see the roof
It needs the protection from the sun the most!
Nathan buff those side plastic panals same as you side fenders also you are using way more ceramic on the applicator pad a few drops is all you need for the whole fender, it's not like wax that you have to see on the surface you really shouldn't see where you've applied it before you wipe it off with microfiber cloth..you put a few drops on wiped then added more wiped, added more. Only need 5-7 drops is more than enough to do a fender. I get 2 full size pickups done on that bottle you have..glad you bought the ceramic wax I told you about..looking good I use chemical guys VRP on my black plastics looks new and will last...
The instructions say to start with 10-12 drops then add 2-3 more when it starts to get dry. I don't know but that bottle goes way farther than I thought it would. I've done 4 tractors with a kit and a half.
@@BorderViewFarms well all you have to do is wait till the ceramic coating starts to get a rainbow look to it then wipe it off..
Kinda off the subject, are you still going to build your house. Can't believe how lumber prices have gone up.
Had a friend pull the plug on a new house. Something to chat about.
Enjoy your videos, have a great new year !
Iam going to do my carhart coat
Forta!!!!!
Do you or are you applying this to the black around cab and all for the detail. Are you gonna do the top of the cab as well?
Check out Evan Stegar from Evans Detailing and Polishing. He’s got multiple videos on paint polishing and he has some excellent products. I use a few of his products, one being a foam cannon ceramic coat, it is the cats ass. We use it on our semi trucks and it is some magical stuff.
what about the cab corn bin?
Be looking forward on your reviews on ceramic coating on the tractor from last year
Does that coating go over the decals too?
Yes
Do you wax the roofs of your tractors
Well, that was awkward, that 4-day break. Serious withdrawal symptoms.... now you know we're no bots....
The polish, do not let it dry. If it does apply fresh polish and wipe it off.
Good to see ya Nathan. It might be me but looks like the tread on the 9R is getting pretty worn? Especially the back duals. Maybe not, just looks like it. Have a good one.
I think they are good for a while yet
A random orbital is way better than those polishers. It won’t leave the scratch marks.
I’ll just keep using my wash&wax, nufinish or carnuba wax.
Other than scratches my 4020 still looks good.
What ceramic wax did you use a link to it please or were you got it thanks
I got some off Amazon and it’s totally shit greasy and won’t dry
Armor Shield IX
I have a question, why don’t you show us what you are doing?? You show the after but not while you are actually doing the work? Why
I did twice in this video. At 9:30 and at 17:45. How long do you want the videos to be? Also I only have 2 hands.
Have u ever been through Newberntennessee
I don't think so
@@BorderViewFarms Have u been through west tennessee I like your channel I live in the middle of about 500 acres next 2 the obion river I live about 45 minutes from discoverypark of America in Union City tennessee

go to CHEMICAL GUYS or type in google best cleaning supplies. What you bought is sold at Auto Part stores.
Chemical Guys stuff was on the shelf right next to it
Border View Farms
Chemical guys stuff did the same to mine 9r as the maguires polish did to yours.
Hello, I want to buy an 8335R tractor, but I want Say YOU help my ?
Right now you can order that ceramic coating kit for 69$
Right I got 3 of them for about $80 I think
Tried the ultimate ultimate polish a couple years ago with no success. The cleaner wax is much better. I was informed later that ultimate is designed for superior grade auto finish. Go figure?
wasting your time with that polish 3m 3 stage compound way better
Ian Harvey : Please remember, those meguiars products are made for the consumer market. 3M are made for proffesional use. The key is to keep the pads clean all the time. 👍
Might be but that’s all we use nothing compares
Meguiars got a cutting compound, marked 105. That one works amazing with a woolpad! Easy to remove scratches with, and leaves hardly any swirls. And the best part, it brakes down and gets finer and finer. Instead of two steps, you do both at the same time. Saves money and time.
