Best video explanation. Think the hand held camera shows more detail than the go pro, plus having a hot battery on the forehead is not a good idea.... so be careful..💥
i like this very much. i also really like your explanation of the order of removing the camshaft bearing (girdles, whatever). i am curious, though, if you find that your cam is OK but lifters are kind of no-good, do you need to remove the camshaft adjuster before removing it from the head? thanks! also, could you tell me how many hours you charge for this?
Thank you Tasos! The video was amazing. Any chance your go pro has a defect? 55 degrees is not normal. Be careful the battery may have a thermal runaway while you are wearing it..
Hey Tasos, you forgot to show how to align the camshaft when there's no room to fit the 27mm wrench with the power brake unit there, great video still!
I have replaced the lifters on left intake camshaft. I used tools for both cam and adjuster. Now I have check engine light (yellow) when I started it up. The engine runs as it should and sounds normal. Can it be that I have to make calibration for the camadjuster?
If I don't install the timing tools there's a chance to turn the engine from the camshafts since there aren't spark plugs in place, by turning the engine from the camshafts ( not so clever ) first you compress the timing chain tensioner and second you put lots of stress everywhere since has 2:1 ratio. Any how personally I prefer to spend 10 more min and to have piece of mind than spending 30 min and turning 10 times the crankshaft to fix the timing properly.
Tasos Moschatos I’m curious on how you fix the adjusters little compression spring I heard you say you will use packers or do you change out that spring. Also why in the hell haven’t they fixed the factory fault of not making sure lubrication holes are drilled out properly on the camshafts
Such a professional 👏
As always Tasos, perfect workmanship,, i wish your garage was closer so I could bring the C63 for check up.✅
👌
Thank you so much for posting this video! I was always planning on doing this myself on my C63. This video gives meh much more confidence!
This makes me want to try doing it myself with my m156 lol
You need to get the Lock tools for the cams and the work shop manual which you can down load
@@donhanley1339 link for manual plz
The Master and the apprentice...
Well done...
A great teacher for the next generation just like my old journey man.

very great video, as always. but this time you did not use oil, when you installing the new camshaft or hydro tappet. or did I miss that in the video?
Great video 👍 Tasos teaching the next generation , it's all about the Details and the feel of the hand tools.
Hey Tassos thanks for the video. What could be the reason that I cannot turn the camshafts after i put the engine on 40 degrees.

Thank you Tasos!

I'm planning to buy a new battery and check the temperature again.
Thank you
Excellent work! Keep the AMG videos coming!
Such great detail as always!

Lucky customer cam adjuster fails boom
Expert builder... I appreciate you Tasos.

O my gosh this is amazing! Thank you!

First off thank you but why no assembly lube?
How much for the brand new camshaft?
Why do you install the camshaft holding tools (front bridge and rear flat bar) if you are just going to pull them out to remove the camshafts?
