The company secretary where I used to work knew everybody and everything as part of the job. Lyons made a good fist of passing the buck, like all the others, but at her level and above there is no room for ignorance, or not being aware of a potentially huge bonfire that had been smouldering for nigh on 20 years.

From the blood scandal to the post office scandal the people in charge seem to be getting away with murder and the perversion of justice so often and they are not facing consequences? How can we have any faith in government and justice if this has been going on for years and they get away with it, time after time, it is like I am living in an alternative reality where being corrupt or evil is expected and ignored.
