Love your relaxing style of vids bro! So clean and refreshing to watch. Thank you so much for adventuring, filming and editing this together for us. Much appreciated!
Liam, a big thank you. One of your best films, the scenery, quiet, freshness. I've been a follower for along while now. My son is a wild camper, travels around the world, just returned from Mediera, he follows you. Beautiful Austria, thanks Liam.
Liam I absolutely love your videos, and I have been a determined viewer throughout your travels since the summer. I am finishing military service in Denmark in the royal guard, and you've inspired me to walk the GR221 in Mallorca, when I'm done in April, with gear from your gear list. Wish me luck! (I would also like some tips :) )
This is great. I’m 52 and when I was 10 we holidayed in a place called Hipach near mayrhoffen. Was the best trip I ever had. I’ve still not gone back but your vid has inspired me to plan going back. I loved Austria and loved the people as well as the landscape.
Yorkshire Tea at the Eagle's nest. Job done reet. Great adventuring, Liam 😊 Just enough snow to accentuate the mountain's features, not enough to obscure them. Perfect.
I went there in May, weather in Berchesgarden was fine. Got up there with snow and ice and no visibility, the difference is amazing. What an absolute treat tou get such an iconic piece of history all to yourself, makes all the trek worth it
To me, the suspense of this video was whether or not you’d ever get that apple strudel. ;) Really enjoyed this one! I am completely in love with alps and am looking forward to a trip to Austria later this year. You did a great job capturing this trek! The balance of history and adventure was spot on.
Fair play to you. You're brave to have wild camped in the Tyrol area too. It's absolutely forbidden and they impose steep fines on anyone caught, so chapeau to you. Lovely to see the chamois. Very clear indeed.
I've watched every single video you've made & this is my favourite....so far! Exquisite scenery in the snow. Something about the atmosphere. Part beautiful, part eerie. I loved the night in the tunnel. Nice one.
Another amazing video Liam. I lived in Germany for 3 years and hiked the best hikes of my life in Bavaria! Appreciate you didn't film the 'Instagram' version of this area but seriously go back and hike this area in the summer. It's stunning!
Glad the Austrians were friendly to you :D . Hope you tried Kaiserschmarrn as well! I love the genuine excitement you have doing what you do in your videos!
Awesome mate ! I've been around the UK's National Parks thanks to you and am hoping to hike in Slovenia in the summer. This was one of the best videos I've seen on UA-cam and I am truly thankful as it helped a lot with the awful UK winter weather. Thanks man!
Oh Liam, Austria is my favourite place. I've been to Tyrol 5 times. (Different places each time) And Carinthia twice, it's fantastic. I've.only ever been in the winter. Unfortunately I've left it too late to go in the spring/summer (hubby can't do this anymore.). Thank you so much for sharing. Happy new year 2025.😊 Take care and stay safe 😊
Hi Liam, great video. The tunnel you stayed in is the entrance tunnel to the eagle's nest bottom of that tunnel on the right. Is the gold-plated elevator
The US Army once had a recreation center with a number of hotels in Berchestgaden. The largest of which, called the General Walker, was close to Hitler's Berghaus on the Obersalzburg. BTW, the gold plated elevator came from the Otis Elevator Company of New York. The road from the town to the Obersalzburg had a 22% grade, quite a hike.
This is one of our favorite regions (around Reuthe) where we go for hiking adventures. We have a 4-5h drive from our home base in Germany. Loving the video! Glad to see that you had a great time :)
That was the quickest hour of my life. Your videos are so amazing. It was exciting to join you on this journey as I didn’t know what the end goal was. It was sort of suspense
How miserable must Hitler have been to not enjoy that view? Liam, your videos are getting better and better. I admire you pressing on upwards with such poor weather and no guarantee that the next morning would be so glorious.
Loved your video, marvelous hike! 🥰🥾 I visited the eagle nest in September last year (Kinda lazy by (electric) bus 😬😌 ) FYI: The elevator is brass plated, not gold ✨😬 you stayed in the entrance tunnel to the elevator (on the end to the right) Wishing you a Happy new year & keep hiking & creating awesome content! 🥂🎆 Greetings from the Netherlands.
Great watch Liam. The tunnel is the entrance to the Kehlsteinhaus or Eagles Nest. At the end is an absolutely amazing lift into the house itself. I've visited in June several times and there's still snow up there but much warmer thankfully. Thanks for sharing
Honestly, really enjoying your growth as a creator. Your videos started off great, but you improve each new adventure - you're a natural presenter and talented producer. Thanks for putting out really good content, if I bump into you in Manchester (I'm sure you mentioned you were in Manchester in a video) I'll say hello!
WOW! What a fantastic adventure and the scenery was stunning. Have to say your shelter in the tunnel did creep me out. Don’t think I could have slept there incase I heard any noises and echoes from the tunnel! Even wearing my big girl pants wouldn’t have helped me overcome my fear😂
Brrrhhh.... I felt cold just watching you Liam .. And that tent it does look so flimsy and gaps everywhere .. Does it really keep with weather out!!? .. Another great vid was nice to watch with my Yorkshire tea with the heating on 😉
Great viewsLiam, your filming is very smooth. Inspiring me, already set on Switzerland this summer in the campervan 👍 Eagles nest features on the last episode of Band of Brothers.
Thanks Liam. I use toothpaste tablets, i.e. compressed powdered toothpaste into tablet form. There’s no water to freeze and much lighter than carrying conventional toothpaste and its’ packaging. Just chew one, your saliva rehydrates it and brush as normal. You only need to carry enough tablets in a little bag with your toothbrush for the trip.
Just got my selv a 53 minute long Déjà Vu 😄 Just about exactly the same experience I had back in 2017 when I walked the Egal Walk in Tyrol. I spent 21 days alone living out of my backpack in a tent on that trip, though it was in the early spring so not as much snow.
Brilliant! I'm Austrian/English & was just there hiking last Sept in snow, in all my years have never seen any wild animal other than marmosets, deer, horses. Enjoy! Tirol is beautiful
All your videos are great but i have watched this 3 times and it is one of the best i have ever watched on any platform. You have captured the feeling of being out in snowy mountains perfectly.
Have you seen Log Hoppers channel. UK nomads! You are all for the view, experience and escape when you can...they are stealth and permanent tent dwellers. I love the ethics of care and tidiness of both channels. Happy days!
Mornin Liam you left rainy England for snowy and cold Austria and Germany your hike was epic not only the place you csmped but the sad truth and history behind it but so glad you got that strudel from New Jersey 😘☕️🍄❄️💨🫙🍬🥗🥐
Fantastic video Liam. I'm planning to do the Kehlstein walk this summer, so it was great to see the route a little as well as Königsee and Berchtesgaden... hopefully it's a bit warmer when I'm there though 😂
You really need bear spray on these trips mate , if there's wolf's and lynx and there hungry , your dinner mate , bear spray is nothing to carry and may save your life brother , Great video as usual mate
Maybe you could do some smaller adventures that are adjusted to your health situation? Nature, it’s beauty and peace can be enjoyed in smaller, less extreme portions :) sending good health and happy new year to your way!
Doing some research Liam, there are photos of the entrance where you slept. Photos from 1945 from US soldiers show that it was the entrance to the lift, that would take you up into the eagles nest. Eerie photos but you should look at them!👍
Really interesting and beautiful video. A bit scary at times. My mom’s house was bombed out during the war. The Germans were after the ICI site nearby. Strange to me how his birthday is celebrated. But then again, people certainly have different viewpoints. A gear video is in order since you stated dry and didn’t freeze to death.😊❤
Done a decent number of hikes in the Lake District and I'm looking for a bigger adventure in Feb/Mar. Where's a nice place in Europe that's fairly cheap and easy to get around for a beginner?
I did the GR221 in Mallorca after watching Liam's video of it, and it was amazing. Got a budget flight from London for like £65 round trip, then used local buses to get to the trailhead and back to the airport at the end. I think it's around 90 miles, took me 6 full days. It's a great first multi-day trek since you pass through a village about once a day to resupply and have a coffee. I did it in early March as well, the weather was brilliant.
I think UA-cam might not be recommending the video to as many people because the word Hitler is in the title, I don't really know how you'd get around that though, but just thought I'd let you know!
Mate you really need to do a full crossing of the black forest in germany. From north to south! Quick flight to Stuttgart and then I can give you a lift to the starting point in Pforzheim.
Thanks for another great video. Don't know how you can stand to camp out in those temperatures! 😊. As others have mentioned, it would be good to know what gear you used for your trip and whether or not it worked well.
@Liam Brown, So the bangs you could hear were thunder snow It happens when positive and negative particles; snow and air particles collide hence the bangs
Love your relaxing style of vids bro! So clean and refreshing to watch. Thank you so much for adventuring, filming and editing this together for us. Much appreciated!
Also, that campsite behind the doors is absolutely epic! You slept where some mental things probably happened. So cool 👏🏻 quality adventure!!
Liam, a big thank you. One of your best films, the scenery, quiet, freshness. I've been a follower for along while now. My son is a wild camper, travels around the world, just returned from Mediera, he follows you. Beautiful Austria, thanks Liam.

Good luck.😊
Thank you for your service. You should document your trek in Mallorca and maybe start your own adventure channel like Liam.

Ikr. Wonder what the man himself would say about the Yorkshire tea 😂

One of your most impressive adventures and videos, in terms of just how incredible that scenery is. Thank you!
One of your best trips yet. It had a bit of everything. Thanks for your perseverance and for sharing. Steve.

8:14 serious camping with Steve vibes 😂
The sounds could be explosives used to set off smaller avalanches for avalanche control.
Hi Liam, great video. The tunnel you stayed in is the entrance tunnel to the eagle's nest bottom of that tunnel on the right. Is the gold-plated elevator
Love your video! The snow is beautiful. I love watching these cold hikes from the comfort of my home in the Arizona desert!
Excellent video, Liam. Thanks for sharing 👍👍 you should do a video of the gear you took and what worked and what didn't🙏🙏
This is one of our favorite regions (around Reuthe) where we go for hiking adventures. We have a 4-5h drive from our home base in Germany. Loving the video! Glad to see that you had a great time :)
Probably my favourite video you have done this lad. Nice one Liam!👏👏
Love watching you're videos Liam they push me to strive better on my hiking adventures & my facebook page, totally awesome & a inspiration!
Stunning as usual. Such a brilliant attitude. Just let things happen. What adventures!
Stunning scenery Liam, thank you for taking us along with you. The missus and i we watch everyone of your films 👍🏻
This is your video yet, Liam, absolutely brilliant 👏 loved it! Happy New year lad. 🎉
That was the quickest hour of my life. Your videos are so amazing. It was exciting to join you on this journey as I didn’t know what the end goal was. It was sort of suspense
Wowzer what a bloody awesome video Liam ..thoroughly enjoyed watching it
How miserable must Hitler have been to not enjoy that view?
Liam, your videos are getting better and better. I admire you pressing on upwards with such poor weather and no guarantee that the next morning would be so glorious.
I've visited there many years ago. So beautiful, and the views from the eagles nest are fantastic. Amazing you got to camp in the tunnel entrance 👍
Loved your video, marvelous hike! 🥰🥾
I visited the eagle nest in September last year
(Kinda lazy by (electric) bus 😬😌 )
FYI: The elevator is brass plated, not gold ✨😬

Greetings from the Netherlands.
Great watch Liam. The tunnel is the entrance to the Kehlsteinhaus or Eagles Nest. At the end is an absolutely amazing lift into the house itself. I've visited in June several times and there's still snow up there but much warmer thankfully. Thanks for sharing
Apparently the person you kept referring to wasn't especially keen on The Eagles Nest and only visited occasionally, preferring his house lower down.
Brilliant video, one of your best, thanks Liam
Honestly, really enjoying your growth as a creator. Your videos started off great, but you improve each new adventure - you're a natural presenter and talented producer. Thanks for putting out really good content, if I bump into you in Manchester (I'm sure you mentioned you were in Manchester in a video) I'll say hello!
Some of the stories form easy company (the lads that took the eagles nest) are amazing
WOW! What a fantastic adventure and the scenery was stunning. Have to say your shelter in the tunnel did creep me out. Don’t think I could have slept there incase I heard any noises and echoes from the tunnel! Even wearing my big girl pants wouldn’t have helped me overcome my fear😂
I was at the Eagles nest in September, it’s like a completely different planet covered in snow, a beautiful part of the world.
This was absolutely stellar, Liam. Bold and gutsy.
Brilliant video. Yes, that was the tunnel that leads to the golden lift up to the main building. Really enjoyed this one. Well done lad
Let's goo Liam,,, again thank you so much for sharing these amazing adventures with us, for me it's very much appreciated due to my bad legs 💙🤜🏼🤛🏼
Great to see you at it again! Hope everything’s better with the shins 🙏🏼 happy new year! 🎉
Hello Liam. Next snow trip why not get some of those snow grips that you just slip over your shoes? Much lighter and easy to carry my good man.
Your best video id say mate, brilliant
Just got my selv a 53 minute long Déjà Vu 😄 Just about exactly the same experience I had back in 2017 when I walked the Egal Walk in Tyrol. I spent 21 days alone living out of my backpack in a tent on that trip, though it was in the early spring so not as much snow.

All your videos are great but i have watched this 3 times and it is one of the best i have ever watched on any platform. You have captured the feeling of being out in snowy mountains perfectly.
that gated bit where u set up tent was the entrance to the golden elevator, so the entrance to Eagles nest. Wild spot ahaha. Great vid
What a great way to start the new year! The views were picture perfect too. Glad you got your well deserved treat.💖
Have you seen Log Hoppers channel. UK nomads! You are all for the view, experience and escape when you can...they are stealth and permanent tent dwellers. I love the ethics of care and tidiness of both channels. Happy days!
Mate this was absolutely insane! Thank you for making this video
Mornin Liam you left rainy England for snowy and cold Austria and Germany your hike was epic not only the place you csmped but the sad truth and history behind it but so glad you got that strudel from New Jersey 😘☕️🍄❄️💨🫙🍬🥗🥐
We need a full kit list 👌🏻 great video
This is your best upload ever !! More of these similar videos 100% great job buddy keep them coming please 👍
Fantastic video Liam. I'm planning to do the Kehlstein walk this summer, so it was great to see the route a little as well as Königsee and Berchtesgaden... hopefully it's a bit warmer when I'm there though 😂
You really need bear spray on these trips mate , if there's wolf's and lynx and there hungry , your dinner mate , bear spray is nothing to carry and may save your life brother ,
Great video as usual mate
has anyone ever been killed/mauled by a bear in Austria/Germany? I would doubt there are any wild bears inGermany or Austria
@gavb9816 for the sake of carrying a tin , I wouldn't like to find out
Great vlog pal amazing scenery… you’ve got some bottle doing that 👍🏻
Wow Liam excellent video...... and a very happy new year to you and yours.
Amazing guy. Wish I had the courage to do things like this. But since my heart attack my confidence has been destroyed . Keep going Liam stay safe
Maybe you could do some smaller adventures that are adjusted to your health situation? Nature, it’s beauty and peace can be enjoyed in smaller, less extreme portions :) sending good health and happy new year to your way!
@@anewfoolfortheworld All the best to you also
That was a particularlybgood one Liam - Not many can say they slept on the door step of the Eagles Nest!
Don't know whether to watch Luke Littler or Liam chasing Hitler!
Nice 😂
This deserves top comment!
Doing some research Liam, there are photos of the entrance where you slept. Photos from 1945 from US soldiers show that it was the entrance to the lift, that would take you up into the eagles nest. Eerie photos but you should look at them!👍
Best video i have watched of yours.... Love your format and information that you share with us.. looking forward to seeing next adventure
That was an EPIC video! The scenery was AMAZING! Thank you for posting it!
Always wanted to visit here, you’ve genuinely inspired me to try and plan a trip here one day, love your videos
Great video. I think 'Wild Campf' would have been a good title.
Happy new year Liam
What a great video
Your adventures bring me joy
Well done mate! A good general idea executed adventourously❤
Done a decent number of hikes in the Lake District and I'm looking for a bigger adventure in Feb/Mar. Where's a nice place in Europe that's fairly cheap and easy to get around for a beginner?
Portugal, Algarve - Rota Vicentina or the Via Algarviana, did the latter last March, gonna do the former this March.
You should go to Scotland 😉
I did the GR221 in Mallorca after watching Liam's video of it, and it was amazing. Got a budget flight from London for like £65 round trip, then used local buses to get to the trailhead and back to the airport at the end. I think it's around 90 miles, took me 6 full days. It's a great first multi-day trek since you pass through a village about once a day to resupply and have a coffee. I did it in early March as well, the weather was brilliant.
Loved it! If they say you are not allowed to, then it's a good reason to do it!
In Germany its basically forbidden to wild camp. In many areas it´s even strictly forbidden.
And for good reason ...
Great video Liam. Having just watched the band of brothers tv show where they visit the eagles nest its nice to see it from your perspective.
How did you get a pass to sleep in the alps? because its strictly prohibited to sleep in austrian forrests and alps
Cracking content as usual liam.
Looked amazing and a lucky break finding the tunnel up there.... Keep up the great content 👏
Fantastic stuff, enjoy your videos but thought you took this one to a whole new level 👍👍
Another awesome adventure. Never stop exploring.
Oh yes, Liam, that looked mega. 👏
Thanks for sharing this adventure.
hope you got that apple strudel. Had an amazing one back in the eastern Europe last week. Thx for the content, have fun !
I think UA-cam might not be recommending the video to as many people because the word Hitler is in the title, I don't really know how you'd get around that though, but just thought I'd let you know!
Great place for Austrian Painting
Mate you really need to do a full crossing of the black forest in germany. From north to south! Quick flight to Stuttgart and then I can give you a lift to the starting point in Pforzheim.
What kit did you use for this trip ?
Another great video Liam, Austria looks stunning.
If there is one place I'd love to travel too it would be Austria... amazing video liam
Thanks for another great video. Don't know how you can stand to camp out in those temperatures! 😊. As others have mentioned, it would be good to know what gear you used for your trip and whether or not it worked well.
One of your best yet, Great Video this 👍
Ha ha it’s Yorkshire Tea 😂 thanks for this one Liam, when are you coming to Australia a few iconic walks Aussie is a small place!
Just started watching this reminds me of other epic trip you did in the mountains of Europe
@Liam Brown,
So the bangs you could hear were thunder snow
It happens when positive and negative particles; snow and air particles collide hence the bangs
Stunning looking strudel!
Love it finally a calm youtuber and awesome video views another subb here❤
NOW THIS! More WWII history / hiking please!!
A new genre is born! And is absolutely brilliant 😄
Steps in wrong place kaboom 💥. Great video, mate. Very relaxing to watch.
You do have some amazing adventures.
