To be fair, her robot like speech off stage could be a limitation of her software (since dynamic sentences are harder to do than pre-written songs), or just what comes to her naturally when she doesn't have to put on a performance.
I like how at the end the movie just acts like everything is back to normal. Like there wasn’t just a realization that we can create AI as intelligent as humans that potentially deserve rights, and also have the ability to possess people and take over their bodies. That definitely won’t be abused by anyone or any governments

not to be "that guy" about plot holes, but in danny's sketch where he trips on that death-trap of a cable and falls into his father . . . he was going in for a hug anyways, so either way the kid was going to find out his father was a hologram.

The scene where the girl trips on the cable is because she stepped on the cable, but while stepping forward moved her leg back (like you do while walking forward), hence making her slip. I have done this multiple times to prove that it is possible, trust me, i'm not lying.
Also, if the program uses echolocation to measure the room, it makes sense that it breaks when she goes outside, because it can't measure the outside. The program might just break when that happens, so it doesn't save and corrupts it- it was 2004.

If this weren't so focused on the AI existential questions, a different avenue would have been using this as an allegory to the dehumanization and commodification of teen pop stars and actors. Teens molded, controlled, and even physically altered like a product to make the adults in charge money. Loretta is literally not seen as a person, just like Disney treats its teen stars. They "make" them and in the process, the dynamic becomes toxic and breaks the kids as often as not.
The Black Mirror episode with Miley Cyrus taps into those themes a bit.
such a good point. 20 years after this movie came out and we are actually at the point where virtual idols are technologically feasible! virtual idol groups are on the rise in kpop and i so hope they become a permanent fixture. obviously (and unfortunately) there are always going to be real teen stars, but alleviating any pressure on real people would be a wonderful application of technology.

Danny's skit at 16:21 was his best one by far. This man took a shit ton of time to make this 2 minute long masterpiece, hilarious as hell. It was actually insane how well done it was though on a serious note, with the interwoven storyline of the cable from earlier and his dad being a hologram and turning into a plane. Plus the cat at the end, insane storyline just as good as how Seinfeld would have interwoven storylines in some episodes. Theatrical masterpiece.
