What I love about this game is that it feels like a breakdown of a sans fangame, a dissection. Sans fangames have become kinda notorious for their repetition and difficulty, and this fangame embraces that idea under it's story, a never ending battle between a machine and the god of insanity, of which is defined by the famous Far Cry 3 quote in the intro of this game, perfectly describing sans fights. It amounts to doing the same thing over and over again, the same faces, the same type of music, the same type of attacks, the same backdrop, the same difficulty, etc. Jupo is basically a thing wearing sans. It looks like him, specifically him Phase 3 from Last Breath which ties into my point. But he's not sans, he's just an entity set on erasing mankind for their crimes with a goofy sense of humor and a hidden madness. He's lost interest in this little game with C4 but has to do it, and is desperate for anything new. It does feel like a satire on the average sans fangame in thinking about those sorts of aspects. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate sans fangames or anything, but they're a very oversaturated medium. And most of the attacks involved consist of A. Gaster Blasters B. Bones and C. Blue Soul Mode. That's about it. So seeing LJV break down these as well as get creative with it's gameplay is really awesome to me! ........I'm sure I'd enjoy it more if I could beat the first phase, though. This game is HARD.
F5 is a part of La Jupo, the memories that kept him sane... well I mean he mostly seems sane except like serious moments(you can ask The Wise Fetus which you will meet if you play the game at 5 am about this)
I believe the reason why la jupo is so loved is because instead of fighting to judge the player, he fights because if he wins, the world is basically fucked as we know it. Also, the concept of insanity is something i was not expecting in an ut fan game, but it's definitely well thought out and perfectly executed

its weird how much this game feels like the undertale equivalent to deltarune ribbit, lets go down the list: 1.its funny yet very serious at times 2.the new cast of characters 3.both the antagonist and the protagonist are insane and morally questionable 4.its about a parasite that latches on to people to cause mayhem and destruction 5.it some times take from different games 6.it changes style almost all the time, almost like its turning into a different game every second

I have been waiting for somebody to make a video like this for so long now. LA JUPO VANIA the game is my favorite UT fangame of all time and I'm so happy that somebody finally made a video talking about how great it is. It does such a great job at striking a balance between comedy and horror and i love it. La Jupo is unironically such a great character and a great subversion for a chaos god of death. He's not a super edgy god like a bunch of other sans fangames but instead acts not really seriously, like he's just playing with you. Which is pretty much exactly what he's doing. he strikes the perfect balance between silly and seriousness and i love it. He's actually a deep character and has lore that you have to stop and actually think about. I love all the flowey parallels too. There's so much for me to talk about that i don't know if i can form all my thoughts into words. C4 is also a really deep character and i don't see many people talk about him much at all. He's only let out to fight La Jupo and then put back in his capsule for 300 years until he is needed again. He's forced to do the same thing over and over again. He's forced to fight his only friend and the only person that could ever understand him for all eternity. All for humanity to just throw him in his capsule until he is needed. La Jupo even points this out at the start of the game. "Don't they treat you horribly?" "Keep you in like a capsule until I arrive?" Both C4 and La Jupo are stuck in a loop of doing the same thing over and over again. That's why in the first line in the intro when you open up the game is "Have i ever told you what the definition of insanity is? "It's when you do the same thing over and over again expecting a different result." It's not only a reference to the funny far cry 3 line, but also describes the game as a whole. The story of LA JUPO VANIA the game is about both C4 and La Jupo falling into insanity and, eventually, the whole world. Ironically the savior of humanity is going to be it's downfall. C4 was the only thing humanity had that was strong enough to defeat La Jupo. And since La Jupo is no more there is nothing left to stop C4 on his quest to destroy humanity. i am so glad someone took time to analyze down to the very details the thematics of la jupo vania. its by far my favorite fangame and i’ve developed an emotional attachment to the fangame itself, i still wonder why it’s one of the less known aus out there. LA JUPO VANIA is truly a creative fangame that I wished more fangames would do. It actually made something whacky and creative despite the implications behind everything. Music on top of such things made this one hell of a time, I can say that much. Was hoping you'd cover the one secret fight of the game, but eh, the base game is good on its own!

The game would be really meaningful if jupo was the one in control, that spider is the main cause of everything and now it will take on jupo's mind and c4's mind. Overall, the storyline is very great like humanity abusing c4's determination to protect them and the spider abusing jupo's mind to destroy the world. Eventually, Both c4 and jupo would be the victims, being controlled by the spider and it wasn't just a fight. But a main story between jupo and c4 friendship and how they broke eachother
they put Undertale, The Bible, Faith: The Unholy Trinity and Twitter in a blender and the result was this masterpiece, truly the world is a wonderful place
La Jupo Vania is not difficult. *But it is GOOD.* You can get past the first phase with enough practice and you don't have to be Merg himself. 9:05 omg, with that backhand could oneshot two Asgores... and do a third to Undyne the Undying 15:45 "I don't think la Jupo Vania has one bad song" I can prove you wrong! There's a bad song, (but a good jam) for the secret boss! Of course, after finishing the video, I have to say, something that is both comedic and horror is ALWAYS going to be VERY good if it's made well. If the horror enemy is just some goofy, silly design that t-poses on you the whole time but is also an instant kill, it's going to be a good game. Well look who we got here. Hi, im quin, tester and the person reponsible for the blindfold mode on la jupo vania. I no-hitted the entirety of the game and even beat Phase 1 BLINDFOLDED. So i can agree with you as this is worth it.
I agree this is one of the best fangames. UA-cam suddenly deleted my original comment sadly so I guess I have to reiterate and explain my points. I love how La Jupo and C4 were reincarnations of both Sans and Chara. Like a satire of the whole Undertale fights with Sans fangames. Where they all have to battle again and again. What makes it sad is that maybe La Jupo and C5 could've been friends. Not the best friends given their friendship isn't the greatest, but part of me feels the La Jupo is a cycle. A cycle of on a theoretical take after the No Mercy route. With the soul we play as now a cold merciless terminator, or Sans reincarnated as a goofy god. Maybe these two reincarnations could have been the best and maybe their lives would've started a new. But alas C5 still continued their mission of destroying everything. As if the past was still there. I still was weirded out around the Arachne segment but overall this is one of the best Undertale fangames because unlike most Sans fights at least this game is different to stand out.
I will say I unironically have songs from this game in my playlist, and when I do that, it's a true testament to how good a game's OST is Also the "bossfight-within-a-bossfight" sections are absolute peak, and I wish more fangames would do something similar
me casually only knowing about La Jupo due to a collab it had with a popular Roblox game (Undertale Last Corridor) getting cancelled due to controversy with the dev(s) of La Jupo Vania (something about them being racist and spamming the n word or homophobic, one of the two, or just them being jerks, idk) (it also had a collab with Undertale Final Showdown that also got cancelled, maybe for the same reasons, idk)

LA JUPO VANIA is truly a creative fangame that I wished more fangames would do. It actually made something whacky and creative despite the implications behind everything. Music on top of such things made this one hell of a time, I can say that much.

The game would be really meaningful if jupo was the one in control, that spider is the main cause of everything and now it will take on jupo's mind and c4's mind. Overall, the storyline is very great like humanity abusing c4's determination to protect them and the spider abusing jupo's mind to destroy the world. Eventually, Both c4 and jupo would be the victims, being controlled by the spider and it wasn't just a fight. But a main story between jupo and c4 friendship and how they broke eachother

If the horror enemy is just some goofy, silly design that t-poses on you the whole time but is also an instant kill, it's going to be a good game.

I agree this is one of the best fangames. UA-cam suddenly deleted my original comment sadly so I guess I have to reiterate and explain my points.
I love how La Jupo and C4 were reincarnations of both Sans and Chara. Like a satire of the whole Undertale fights with Sans fangames. Where they all have to battle again and again.
What makes it sad is that maybe La Jupo and C5 could've been friends. Not the best friends given their friendship isn't the greatest, but part of me feels the La Jupo is a cycle. A cycle of on a theoretical take after the No Mercy route. With the soul we play as now a cold merciless terminator, or Sans reincarnated as a goofy god. Maybe these two reincarnations could have been the best and maybe their lives would've started a new. But alas C5 still continued their mission of destroying everything. As if the past was still there.
I still was weirded out around the Arachne segment but overall this is one of the best Undertale fangames because unlike most Sans fights at least this game is different to stand out.

Thats one bold claim, But you do have valid points. One big thing though is how fast the lore moves by. It can't really stick too well with you. Logically 850 x 300 = 255000, 255000 years since frisk killed the underground. I think humanity would be intergalactic by then. and wouldn't need a WW2 bot to beat a deity for them.
