YES-“Where’s My Thing/Here It Is” so much grandstanding in this track, and yet it never comes across as excessive. Why? Because it’s Rush baby. Wait, “Leave That Thing Alone!” LOL🤘🖖✌️🎸🎸🥁🎹🥁🎸🥇🇨🇦👍👌
Rush is one of those "miracle" bands where three of the most gifted and talented musicians who each were master-craftsmen at playing their instrument came together. You may not particularly like the music genre they play, you cannot do anytihng else but sit in awe for their ability and musicianship. Besides John 'the ox' Entwistle (The Who), Geddy Lee is the most able bass-player this world has ever seen. Neal Peart has no equal and Alex Lifeson is maybe one of the most underrated guitar players to ever been around. This guy can play, baby. Thanks for the reaction, dude.
THE GARDEN live clockwork angels tour, Neil pearts final masterpiece and final farewell, the last song from the final album. It makes me sad watching this performance, looking at Neil's face knowing what he was going through. But still one of the great Rush performances. Another great performance from a few years earlier from the snakes and arrows tour was MISSION, a very underrated song, one of the greatest Rush live performances. Alex Great guitar, geddy great vocals, geddy on keyboards, and one of Neil's greatest drumming performances along with NATURAL SCIENCE from the same show, for the funnier side of Rush you have to watch THE REAL HISTORY OF RUSH/TOM SAWYER live time machine tour live in Cleveland, the best live performance of tom Sawyer with the big screen behind them with the 3 guy's trying to play each other's instruments. Best wishes from the north east of England.
@@mylesdevine9513 Alex looks amazing in the intro video THE REAL HISTORY OF RUSH/TOM SAWYER, with his big fat body suit and makeup, a comedy genius with his troublesome time machine. Love the beautiful girls with their "moving pitchers". Everyone thought Neil was the quietly spoken guy, but everyone can see in the intro videos he was a great laugh and a real nice guy.
This was SO good! How lucky are we to be on this planet at the same time as these three? Also, check out The Pass. There was a suicide near us last weekend, and that song is stuck in my head now.
So you got Geddy kicking things off, then Alex and Neil sidle in with Alex basically taking over dominating the rhythm, with Neil and Geddy sprinkled accents along the way to the lead guitar break that ushers in the drum solo, which culminates into all three bringing it back for the reprise and in the outro Geddy has to throw that one last bass speed riff in there and WOOSSSHHHH☄️they out.
I definitely agree with some of the others you need to check out the pass, mission from the show of hands tour, and the garden from the clockwork Angels tour
Great reaction dude!! “Where’s my thing…” question is, who knew it was lost before we saw this master performance! Keep em coming! Be well and God Bless… from Texas!!
I remember when I first heard this song when it came out in 1992. It was good then off the album, but they pumped it full of 1000% High Octane on this performance and set off a nuclear explosion of music! This is my favorite live performance of all their instrumentals. Great reaction! Keep the Rush coming 😎
Oh yeah PÔPE- Zep, Floyd, Rush... you ARE on the good track. Now you gotta add Jethro Tull, Eurythmics, Supertramp, Yardbirds, Dire Straits, Peter Gabriel, Yes and Robin Trower for more flavour to the excellence of the Brit Invasion since 1964. Peace from Canada.
i enjoyed watching all your rush reaction videos. you might like far cry live snakes and arrows and dreamline from roll the bones. alex had a web site with new music and also is working with a band envy of none. alex and geddy also did funny ads for rush golden ale beer.. i like how you react to the lyrics.
I always wondered if my theory on these two songs was correct. Where's my thing I think is referring to Alex's whammy bar because he barely uses it in this song, and in the previous one, "leave that thing alone" Alex was all over the whammy bar so I have to wonder if that's what it means.
Geddy said in an interview years ago it was just a funny name they came up with. With that being said....the song "The Main Monkey Business" was actually a quote from Geddy's mom. Geddy and his mom were having a conversation one day, and she had said something about people involved in some monkey business...Geddy asked her, "What kind of monkey business?" She replied "The main monkey business!"
Neil Peart was 61 here!! And remember he was also 6'4"! Lots of power, skill and finesse. Is he the "best" rock drummer? IMHO, yes. Don't get me wrong. I was (am) a huge LZ fan (since 1973), however John Bonham passed away at the age of 32. Think of how he would have evolved as a percussionist had he lived another 29 years?? 🥁✌
@Bookhouse Boy 💥 Carl Palmer mom at underrated drummer of all time like his band Emerson Lake and Palmer Search Carl Palmer on Utube and see his drums (Stainless Steel) that he designed …
Time machine tour live in Cleveland especially the funny video intro to the song, THE REAL HISTORY OF RUSH/TOM SAWYER, showing what the boy's did best entertaining the fans and we loved it. We never new what was coming next on the big screen.
Check out Ian Paice The Mule Live Copenhagen Denmark 1972. Carl is an excellent drummer i saw him about 5 years ago at a concert he did a great solo. Saw him also at the Poconos Rock Festival at Long Pond Pa. in 1972. 200 thousand people attended that concert. if you check out Ian Paice check out the 9 min. video.

Geddy is just a beast on that bass!
Unique band, unique drummer.

Hemispheres! You have to listen to Hemispheres. Pay attention to the words. Love watching your reactions to the music I grew up on.

It was released in 1991 on their "Roll The Bones" album
Neil was amazing, but you need to see Carl Palmer’s solo in California Jam “Karnevil 9” Impression 1 Part 2. Carl will blow you away! ELP
Saw Carl about 5 years ago do a solo at a concert i attended. He was great.
2nd Row - Geddy's Side.... Was Amazing Show the 7th of that tour or me, but not my last :)
excellent !
I hope you're noticing how great Geddy is on the bass.
