Que introducción la de Wakeman, y despues el bajo de Squire nos llevan al cielo. Y Howe acompañando, que mas se puede pedir en esta vida. Yes fue y sera un supergrupo de excelentes musicos.

GFTO was the first Yes album that was released after I discovered them (and weed). My friends and I were blown away as it became the soundtrack for our misadventures and trips. The music of Yes stays with me to this day still fresh and beautifully complex.

"I'm Running" off their album Big Generator is an amazing song you should check out. A lot of people don't like that album because it is 80' pop yes. Me personally love this album! It has some of my favorite Yes songs, "Shoot High Aim Low" "Love Will Find A Way" "Final Eyes" and "I'm Running"

And this was a live version! One of the few bands I’ve seen live (& I’ve seen MANY) that sound as good as studio versions. And Jon is very in touch with the world! ❤ YES!

I'm glad you've reacted to a song off the double live album Yesshows, the two best tracks off it are The Gates of Delerium and Ritual, which are as good, if not better than the studio versions.

I’m loving watching you react to the greatest bands ever from 70’s. You know I’m a Tull freak but my favorite bands after Tull are Rush and Yes and the music from them are so unique and that’s what makes them so special. Love your reactions and you want to share with everyone else especially your children when it happens. It’s people like you who keep this music alive for generations to come because it will be passed on by your appreciation and exposure to others who hear it. Love you dude!

Even the people that pass you as you walk along and across the street who glance your way, are special as there are 8.5 Billion People on the Planet today, and you will only speak to a handful in your lifetime... They had meaning and a purpose in that moment for your experience, as you were for theirs....

I've lost count of how many times I've seen Yes live in the UK. Never a bad show and super generous to the audience. Their 35th anniversary show was about three hours of high powered playing.

Nice to see you back to YES. I used a lot of their music as intro and outro music to my fantasy novels that I narrated. If you enjoy Fantasy Fiction you might enjoy them. If nothing else, at least there's some YES music 🙂 The books are called Forestera's Fate, and they're both in Playlists. Just letting you know in case that interests you 🙂

Remember that is a live version from 1977 .I saw this on October 13 1977 at Wembley Empire Pool (16 years old First time i got to see Yes) The first part of the video was Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. . A Truer version would be from the original Going for the one album as this was great when you were there ,it now seems a little fast.

of course a classic. Yesshows is my favorite live album by Yes. that said, I think the studio version should be heard, because it sounds massive and epic played on the church organ (the same one from Awaken). either way, totally essential, and one of the majorly uplifting songs by Yes

Never heard this version before. Sounds a bit different from the studio version. We can never get enough YES. A few YES recommendations: "Homeworld" live version here: ua-cam.com/video/ETmRMPHtcqk/v-deo.html, and the live version of "In the Presence of" ua-cam.com/video/X_KDXoMB5wg/v-deo.html Or do the studio versions. I don't think you've done those. Both excellent.

I forgot that Yes used the final movement of The Firebird Suite as it's intro. You should listen to the whole Suite by Stravinsky. So worth it! I use it to test audio systems!

I can't remember. Have you done HomeWorld or MindDrive yet? Those are both epic 90s masterpieces. You would love them my bruv. It Will Be A Good Day is another one, not epic, but a real soul toucher. Damn man, YES were just so freaking amazing! I still can't believe Chris is gone. And Alan now too.

Hello Pope, i am new to your channel, and I'm wondering if you did a reaction to the Yes song "And You and I"? It's one of my favourites, has a nice sense of yearning.
I first started listening to Jon Anderson when my Dad got me the album "Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe" in the early 90s.

As one might expect, the live version from the ‘70s isn’t as well engineered as the studio track. Thus Rick Wakeman’s keyboards aren’t as prominent as they should be., especially in the beginning.
