I get it now. This is watchmojo for metalheads.
Lol so true
Except no one is talking
This not a top
😂😂
basically
Peter Steele had the voice of an earthquake
Johnson Shovel have you head Phil Bozeman
I love the fact that one of you guys profile is a shovel and the other one is a ho, I don't know why I thought this is so funny
That dude, is fucking weird 😕
@@joee8795 lol not as you

Calm down, Princess Nobody 🤣🤣
Not like I was talking about how his music is trash.....oh wait, ooops 🤷🏼♂️
😂
For axl rose, you literally could have just played another 10 seconds of sweet child o' mine.
Axl rose is an awful vocalist
@@AshleySOAD Your opinion
@@AshleySOAD Agreed! Saw them way back when appetite for destruction was popular and walked out on their show! After Metallica opened for them there was no need to see more...... horrible sound and almost 2 hour delay for them to get on stage.
If he did then you would be asking for more Guns N’ Roses
blowup and yet they are one of the most legendary bands
People always forget that it doesn't say "top 14" it just says "14 with insane ranges". It's just the vocalists that they choose to highlight.
UA-cam rule: the last of the video is number 1 even if it's not a "top" ;)
But a lot of these singers don't have an insane range.
@@painkiller1968 Yeah, like David Lee Roth. He's pretty average to me.
That second one sounds like a kid who’s losing in mw2
Walter R. Yeah they picked a pretty bad clip to show off his range. He’s actually insane
True
Go in time
It's Fortnite ... ✊😔
LMAO! Or in any PVP game to be honest lol
Yeah, his voice went so high it sounded like he was shrieking.
Peter Steele and that legendary deep voice... RIP
I seriously think his range is unholy low bass to a higher tenor than I can do, and I'm a very high tenor.
First CD I heard was Bloody Kisses, it took me about 3sec into his vocals to become an instant fan. Greatly missed.
Absolutely! I love that man!
Only dude in this video to actually sound good on the low notes while not growling.
@@ZackeTheBrute ville valo tho
Loudwire: does their best showing a very respectable list of vocalists, both underrated and properly rated without making the video too long
Almost anyone in the comment section: Wtf?! No (______)?
Tarja and Marco from Nightwish
People are never satisfied. Some are genuine that the vocalist of their choice didn't make it to this list. Most are just naming some underrated/unknown underground singer just to show off that they know something that the masses don't know, i.e. ego stroking
no no but fr, Serj has one of the most extreme vocal ranges in rock/metal and hes not in this list? hes objectively a talented singer.
Thank you for including Ville. He usualy doesn't get the credit he deserves
Agreed!
Ville is a great singer, not to speak of his talent as a composer. Love him and HIM. The acoustic version of It’s all tears with the double bass is a great example
Alessandro Bottinelli Ville have amazing voice
and this one is not even a good example, he can go way higher and stronger, and lower and deeper than that :D
it includes devi!!!!!!!!! so it is a very complete list. it lack Pellek, and some spanish sppekers (Leo Jimenez, Jose Andrea)
Actually really bad clips demonstrating ranges xD
The First Corey Taylor one was actually no singing
Totally agree. Not really accurate when you compare an artist's voice in their 40s and 50's to what it was in their 20's.
I totally agree. I don't like all of the screams either. They should include more younger and more melodic examples. Dickinson's and Halford's are the best examples.
Yeah, it's just a bunch of people screaming. Where's someone with a real singing voice like Till Lindemann?
Am the 666th like😈
My sexuality is most definitely Pete’s vocal range.
it’s all over the scale?
Hello Gordey Ramsin
Kyo has such a unique voice. He can truly tap into any voice. He's like a japanese Mike Patton.
He has range and he’s just got a unique voice, like you said.
do u guys know the song he was screaming in
@@n0wsinn Song is called "Dozing Green" of the album "Uroboros". I own a copy of the record. It's a masterpiece. Highly recommend it.
@@medranothelion will definitely check out the album. im currently listening to it while at work lol thanks
If you like Dir En Grey, then I recommend Madmans Esprit! Kyuho's vocal range is extremely insane, and he literally can switch from a growl to a scream so quick. They recently released an album in 2022 titled:
"나는 나를 통해 우리를 보는 너를 통
해 나를 본다
2022 "
And its pretty much kyuho recreating his past songs and making it so much more unique. Its literally eargasm.
They're an amazing band that deserve more support and recognition.
Glad Kyo's on here. He deserves it.
Yeah, I'm so glad he's in this list!
Yep
I downvote this video because you didn't include my random favorite singer.
pretty much
Agree with you! People always look for someone who's not in the list and complain... if Mike Patton and/or Devin Towsend weren't in the list, people would say: "hey, where are Mike Patton & Peter Steele?"
Where is Daniel Gildenlowwwww
Chino Moreno should be on here tho
I wonder how worse it would be if the title were a "top 10 metal vocalists" and not simply "insane vocal ranges"
Myles Kennedy? Freddie Mercury? Chris Cornell? They all deserve to be here
Metal, not rock in general. Otherwise I agree, except you didn't mention Steve Perry. Say what you will about Journey, but Steve Perry's range was insane.
Oh crap. I forgot him.
Jacob Steinberg
Fr Myles should’ve been number one. His vocal range is insane.
Freddie spoke an C#2 in an interview one time, (he had a strangely deep and husky voice for a tenor) and he whistled an F6 in a live performance of Under Pressure so that is roughly 4.5 octaves. Mike Patton's range is 6 octaves and a semitone, (Eb1 to E7). Dani Filth's I am unsure of but I think it is between 5 and 4 octaves.
Jacob Steinberg Freddie Mercury was a a good singer but didn't have much that being at least 4 ranged
I was doing fine, rocking out, till Peter Steele came on, and then I'm like "I'm not crying, you're crying" Live forever in Valhalla Green man
All Hail Lord Petrus!
Chris Cornell? He deserves to be on here, really!
hey
No Layne Staley or Chris Cornell??? And no Robert plant?
I know right
Tré Reed I agree with Chris and Robert but Layne didn’t have such a diverse vocal range.
Doreen Boadu not true. Layne just didn’t show off what his voice could do while he was with Alice. If you look up old vids of AIC demos and songs from Layne’s old hair bands, he was able to hit some pretty up there notes
@@doreensika837 Layne was loud because his voice had a strong acoustic ring
Plant lost his ability to hit high notes...the studio was his best friend
Can't believe you didn't added Robert Page, Jimi Gilmoure, Axl Cobain, Freddie May, David Lee Halen, Van Bonham, Kurt Manson!!!
Sorry, what do you mean?
IKR!!!! FUCKIN LOUDWIRE
Sarcasm :3
Very cute
14....are there more?....yes but the title says 14, hold your panties people
We miss you, green giant.
Never will anyone master to control a godly voice like yours.
I'm surprised there's no David Draiman or Serj Tankian, those guys got amazing ranges
I was about to get really angry they didn't put Rob Halford on this list
+TheBushwooky As me. But actually I know that's infeasible to put all the stars which we'd like to. But where the f*ck is Ian GIllan from Deep Purple with his reaching highs in Child in Time?
+TheBushwooky I was expecting James LaBrie as well.
but Halford is on the list 6:17
+Luis Darrell Burton Duh......... that's what TheBushwooky was saying
+JackCarver10 damn! sorry :p i dont speak english very well...
Matt Bellamy? Freddie Mercury? Chris Cornell? Serj Tankian? Maynard James Keenan? Guess I'll die?
None of them have a big octave range.
@@ruditoonen8801 Really? Freddie doesnt have a big octave range?
@@ignas3157 he only has a 4 octave range, so no, he doesn't have a big range.
@@ruditoonen8801 4 Octaves is not a small range
@@ignas3157 it is compared to the people in the video.
So glad to see Kyo here! ❤ Amazing band, amazing vocals.
Almost all the numetal vocalist for example Corey Taylor, Johnathan Davis, Chino Moreno, Chester Bennington, Chad Grey, etc are all capable of doing super melodic vocals along with death metal growls and brutal metal screams
Lol rob Halford does that live epitaph 2015 at almost 70. Better growl too
On a technicality because the title says rock singers are included, what about Freddie Mercury?
Freddie mercury had a 3 octave range. Everyone on this list had over 5 octaves of range, the first person in the video (mike patton of faith no more) has a six and a half octave voice, which is over twice as wide as freddy mercury's
+Disaster InProgress yes, but Freddie can still sing at his higher ranger. He doesn't screech and scream
+Barrett Cortellesi The list doesn't include screaming/growling. All of the people here have better ranges than Freddie Mercury.
Absolutely, he is number 1 voice in rock forever!
Absolutely, he is number 1 voice in rock forever!
came here expecting Peter Steele. wasn't disapointed.
Big samw
@@JM-zm6lt um...agreed?
Same here.
One thing not all may notice about the clips of Bruce Dickinson, Rob Halford, Dani Filth and King Diamond, is that for each of them, both clips shown were from the same show, which goes to show what amazing vocalists they all are.
Edit: Dickinson’s performances are separate. One is from “En Vivo” (The Talisman) and the other is from “Rock in Rio 2001” (Wrathchild). Still, Dickinson’s range is amazing to this day, and he can still do that high scream when they perform Wrathchild, Remember Tomorrow or Number of the Beast.
Also, if you didn’t notice that Dani Filth’s low and high example were both in the same show, you’re either visually impaired or you weren’t paying attention to the video.
Dani filth .... (Or King Diamond's bastard spawn as I call him) was SAME SONG.
@@andyventures6574 Which is why I said that there's something wrong if people didn't notice that it was in the same show. There was no need for a second clip because it was the same song.
I think Ville Valo’s clips were also from the same show
@@grantonnintendo9525 Maybe. I don’t know for sure
Kyo is out of this world, is an alien, such an amazing voice
Chris Cornell?
All it took was ''Beyond the Wheel'' and it would sum it up for evryone.
so true.
Chris Cornell went to Belize
i stopped watching this because your comment. who tf doesnt put cornell in a list of metal musicians with the best vocal ranges?! Im livid.
AudioSLAVE exactly what I was thinking
Where is the vocal god Chris Cornell?
yes i was thinking same thing also where is robert plant
Richard B show some respect dude
Richard B You're a moron, It's not funny, show some respect
Only 4 octaves
He's out of range
Eric Adams of Manowar. Criminally underrated vocalist.
No one talks about Phils vocals before CfH either.
YES! Eric Adams should definitely be on this list.
I was gonna say... the vocal range in any number of Manowar songs is incredible
Agreed. Eric is criminally underrated and needs to be on this list. King of kings
Phil could get those Rob Halford highs back in the day
@@TealScarab amen
As weird as he is, King Diamond may have the greatest vocal range I’ve ever heard. He’ll be high pitch screaming one second and low growling the next.
I saw him live in Detroit in 2019 and he was amazing live
He's a trained opera singer I think. Amazing range. Also very strange. Lol.
from this list I'd say kyo (Dir En Grey) is the most unique and vocal range in this list he has 7 octaves and can do opera, whistle tones, whistle screams (growling and whistle tone in the sametime or overtone) has low gutturals, not only can he do that but also has mastered all of it no professional training just him and can do it in one song want proof check out Vinushka live by Dir en grey.
King Diamond is weird in the best way possible
I'm a simple man. I see Dani Filth, I click.
Awful examples of Corey Taylor. The dude has a range of 5 and a half octaves. Play like AOV and then Bother. That really demonstrates it better
eeyore and bother
agreed. that live scene of custer was him speaking not singing...
Agreed
DupiDup en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Corey_Taylor see for yourself
DupiDup Well first off, thats not plausible at all, seeing as the record for vocal range is 6.... And that, by the way, is measured by the highest and lowest notes that the person hit in their career. The standards are the same for everybody. Highest note to the lowest
Corey Taylor & Peter Steele & Ville Valo ❤️🔝❤️
These 3 also are my favourites 🖤🖤🖤🖤⚘⚘
Yes 😍
All love for Ville
Dave Lee Roth?
@@diamondmiles8462 amazing vocalist too
Y'all forgot a few VERY important vocalists in this list, but it's always awesome to see Rob Halford still absolutely killing it in his old age.
Where is Serj Tankian, Mikael Akerfeldt, Maynard James Keenan and Till Lindemann??
Alex Portillo yes i wanted to see Akerfeldt make the list too
Do they really have insane vocal ranges though?
TheMoonPrincess2 serj is great at switching tone quickly enough to not sound bad
Serj does have a big range, although pretty his highs are often screamed and not always very controlled.
Akerfeldt and Keenan mostly use their mid-range. Although they have showcased a more extended range (Maynard more so than Mikael), they did very sparingly and are not really known for their ranges.
Till Lindemann does go quite low but, probably both due to his technique and stylistic choices, we 've never heard him sing high at all, unlike for example Peter Steele.
Richard B honestly I think that's way more important
Dir en grey vocalist is something else
Ahhhh Loudwire, we love you and your use of crappy live performances.
I'd say Patton wins this, not only due to his range, which yea he can go high but it is mostly for noise or screaming, but i am talking about his versatility, I mean he has done it all, and he is really good at all he's done.
I like mr bungle
+Keith Carey sebastian bach cant sing for shit anymore, all the guys in the video have amazing ranges, some just better than others
+Keith Carey you've got to be fucking kidding me. If you're not a troll than i legitimately feel sorry for you
+Keith Carey According to lists, Corey Taylor, Freddie Mercery, Axl Rose and Mike Patton are the guys that have the widest range of almost any singer and everyone are/was rock/metalsingers.
They all have 5 octaves or higher ranges, if its good or bad in your ears is something els.
+LevitatorMusic Yeah I've got to agree everybody's entitled to their opinion but strypers not even in the same league, I'm sorry they suck. I remember seeing them in the 80,s and it was one of the worse show's I've ever seen and believe me no shit I've been to hundreds of concerts, the two things that stood out was his voice was all over the place and then they threw bible's into the crowd.
What no Chris Cornell, his voice is insane !
Illyarna Jones He has 4 octaves though
wtf so find someone on this list to sing jesus christ pose without screaming or making squirl sounds. Or even say hello 2 heaven
chris cornell sounded a like a congested turd
You're in the wrong channel girl
Just listen beyond the wheel, or smokestack lightning. He is insane.
And Dani's vocal ranges go even deeper and higher than that. *X,D*
LeonOrenValentine hes awesome

For axl high notes, every chinese democracy song can be played
That can apply to low notes too, Shacklers revenge anyone?
I know everyone hates Chinese Democracy but I actually really like it. Do you like it?
@@charleysonnydickinsonvuori7833 to say “everyone hates it” is a generalization. There’s people who like it and others who don’t, in fact I’ve seen more people talk positively about the album than I have negatively
@@adamgriffith-smith9106 cool. It’s been ages since I heard anything bad about it but yeah most of the comments were talking bad about it. For me it’s the only GnR album that I’ve fully listened to and I love it. I like some of their other songs but I kinda dislike Sweet Child O’ Mine because I have heard it played at every single wedding/bday party/charity event I’ve worked at my current job as a waitress in a hotel. Obviously when I could work because right now I’m on furlough.
Kyo from Dir En Grey finally gets some fucking love! His voice is crazy
So..... Where the hell is Robert Plant?
+Richard D. You know when you're pointing the finger, you have three fingers pointing right back at you. You should probably read the title "dumbass".
+Richard D. Haha, so wouldn't you agree he should be on the list now?
+Richard D. It says rock+metal in the title. It wouldn't even matter, Plant has the best range
They missed out so many brilliant singers; these lot are completely mediocre and the person who made this video seems a bit blinkered in their music taste judging by the choices.
+OneMoreMileAnHour highly agree
Peter Steele IS this list.
Devin Townsend and Mike Patton for me. Those two pull off their vocals effortlessly.
Peter Steele of course
Geoff in his day was untouchable. A large range covered without the use of screams or falsetto.
Geoff is indeed in my opinion the greatest of this list for actually singing and not screaming. But Mike Mills of Toehider, Tommy Karevik and Damion WIlson are also pretty good singers of this decade. Search in spotify for Ayreon life and then into a black hole. Tommy does a great job singing this song but Bruce is the original singer of that song.
Michael Kiske was always better than all.
Seeing Kyo get some recognition is always a good thing. Dude's got pipes. Pipes he repeatedly comes close to destroying through strain, but pipes nonetheless.
+Ian Hitterdal (otend) I came here to make sure Kyo was on the list. Fucking insane vocal range!
+PhunkyPhishPhan Same here! Dude is nuts. So many other J vocalists could have made this list, too.
Fucking love Dir En Grey!
+PhunkyPhishPhan same Here ^^ kyos voice is just amazing!
exactly. xd
Thank you for including Peter Steele he finally gets the recognition he deserves .
Wow I wasn't expecting Kyo in this list
Kyo is literally one of the best vocalists of all time.
LellewyenxD Fuck yes. Dir En Grey is insane. Long time fan.
Agreed love dir en grey the final gets me through a lot
Dir en Grey is insane !!!
I agree, I was really glad to see him on this list.
Howard Jones is #1
Peter has gone so much deeper than that omg
But the final note in that clip of Christian Woman is Gorgeous
If you didn't mention Pete Steele, I would have been pissed. But, Dani Filth, King Diamond and Halford are freaking amazing 🤘🤘
Jesus Christ, how could you leave out Ian Gillan or Glenn Hughes???
Mike Patton is one of the best artistic vocalists ever to be. Im not a singer but I respect everything he does even if its not my style. A true innovator of vocal versatility
Absolutely. The very best in my opinion
With phil anselmo
Maynard? Dio? Danzig?
Danzig, yes!
Maynard
And Chad Gray.
Maynard
Political Correctness Offends me he doesn’t get enough credit
Dude fuck yeah, finally kyo getting some respect. 🙏🏻
Mike Patton actually holds the record for the widest vocal range of any singer ever
For males its a guy named Tim Storms. 10 octaves
Patton is an impressive 6 octaves but not even close to the best
More accurately, he has the widest range of popular artists
Till Lindemman has most scary voice
Could've used better examples for Corey Taylor and ESPECIALLY for Devin Townsend.
I would've loved to see Thing Beyond Things instead of the live performance of Still My Bleeding Heart for Devin's highs.
HGCentral Mike Patton two, they picked some crap examples in general
It's a trick to not making just video with Devin, Devin, Devin and Devin.
Corey Taylor is my favorite musician
HGCentral Corey Taylor only has 2 octaves
Come on, that tiny clip of Custer doesn't show Corey's range at all, a clip of (sic) at the part where Corey basically screeches would have been much better
ey b0ss
Eyeless too.
eyyeye b0ss
Right!!! Like WTF?!
so?
Axl Rose definitely #1, so happy to see Ville Valo get the credit he deserves... but no Layne Staley!!🙀🙀
Kyo, Ville Valo and Corey Taylor my favorite! 😍
Rob Halford
They DID include Rob Halford in the video.
If Peter Steele wasn't here I would've had a temper tantrum
exactly what i thought,if Peter Steele & Phil Anselmo were not on here that would be a completley garbage list. But what about Mikael Aekerfeltd or Mark Hunter from Opeth & Chimaira
I'm surprised he was put on since many others were left out.
+Tyler Keating I would have thrown one as well.
You're telling me, man.
Nina Hagen, technically not metal (at least mostly) she works with metal bands and has an insane range from all over the scales and crazy like in Naturtränen to impressive and dark with stunning vocal control like in the cover of Seeman she did with Apocalyptica.
you can NOT make a list of insane ranges in rock/metal and not include freddie mercury
edit: bro why are there so many elitists in the responses wtf. sorry i listen to bands other than exodus
Well, he did.
Unskilled Slash he had a 4 octave Range, which is impressive but not anywhere as impressive as axle rose or peter Steele with a 6 octave Range
He's already headed off to the planet Mercury to obtain the vocal range......sorry. That was a bad pun, and I don't like classic rock.
Or Geoff Tate perhaps?
Mason C another singer that has 6 octaves is Mike Patton, the first one in the list
Cut Devin Townsend short there. He has much lower and much higher notes.
He was fucking around but I agree it wasn't the best clip to use.
+The Damn Beast Best clip would've been the high notes he hits in Might Masturbator in the By a Thread live videos.
+The Damn Beast Best clip for me with Devin Townsend is Love, he sounds freakin' awesome.
the death of music from the rah show is damn good. especially at the end
his vocals are from c2 To f7, and in this video like a2 and g3
What? This list is terrible. Freddie Mercury, Paul Rodgers, Ian Gillan, Ronnie James Dio, Robert Plant and Peter Gabriel?
Also don't forget that Roger Taylor of Queen had a hell of a range, too! 😊
+Rainbow Rising "Metal musician"
SwatyChopsuey "rock musician"
Rainbow Rising Oh shit you're right lmao
I agree where in fucks name is Ian Gillan loud wire needs to listen to child in time
Queensrÿche's Geoff Tate has the best vocal range I've ever seen in my life
Michael Kiske from Helloween has the same range, check him out
Halford
@@elculiaodelosjudaspriest Love that Metal God, but and I am for sure more into Judas Priest than Queensrÿche, thought I gotta admit Tate has a way bigger Vocal Range and an amazing voice
@@necrom4454 I’m on the opposite side of things to you and most of these videos and prefer more melodic, female-fronted bands like Tristania, Sirenia, The Gathering, and Theatre of Tragedy. I get a lot don’t like Theatre of Tragedy because they can’t understand the music and lyrical content but I always have said I’d you don know the Lyrics, then look them up.
@@zaynes5094 Well I understand that you prefer those things... I'm more into trash metal, but I for sure love Queensryche, concerning the fact that you're the opposite of me, I don't know how you got to assume that with the little I wrote in my comments but hey, cool for you, everyone it's tastes
But one thing is sure, I never saw someone with Tate's vocal range
My gods Peter Steele and Ville Valo came out.
Anyway, the most versatile voice I've ever heard is Geoff Tate's. His voice is a treasure
Ville Valo is so amazing, what he can do with his voice is insane
Only a few of these actually had "insane vocal ranges." A lot were just screaming. Limit this to people who can actually sing in many octaves, not just squeak out some raspy high notes. Not falsetto either.
+Phillip Betts there's more to range then having a lot of octaves. Range also refers to the multitude of sounds a vocalist can come up and timbres their voices can maintain.
Yes, but a lot more people can strain their vocal chords than can actually sing in many octaves. While it is impressive in some of these cases, many of these are something anyone can do, they just have to be willing to submit to future injury.
+Phillip Betts Nuh-uh, screaming does not really strain the vocal cords that much and many of the vocalists here can prove that since they are still able to hit incredible notes, screamed or not, even if they have aged considerably. Most of these techniques very few can do consistently WITHOUT straining as you claim happens. I myself have also screamed and sung approx. 5+5 hours (2-3 hour sessions of both mixed) per week for over 3 years now and only gotten consistently better at both, without any hiccups (voice has gotten stronger).
I also discovered that expanding range has to with different registers and techniques as well, which means every now and then there are breakthroughs where you notice your range was not limited because of the voice but rather just not using a register. For example, I never knew I could sing the highest register pop punk style songs the way they sounded originally until recently as I just happened to find the place in my voice, which surprisingly was incredible clear and "undamaged" despite hardcore and metal screaming I presumed to make it unachievable if not learned before.
+Phillip Betts As far as I know Kyo and Corey Taylor are really the only ones with large vocal ranges.
Fallen Ishvalen Mike Patton was here as well.

Cool you should do vocal ranges of Warrel Dane, Layne Staley, Tony Harnell, Burton C Bell, Rob Rock, Lance King 😁👍
The guy that used to sing for Queensryche,he has a pretty good voice.
Instead of Custer, you should’ve put duality
Satirical. Strongly agree
Nah not really
Or wait and bleed
well that's pure vocal fry

Or the devil in i.
Hansi Kürsch from Blind Guardian should be on here. He's got an awesome voice.
Hell yeah dude I said the same thing

Totally agree dude, Hansi is a beast of a vocalist \m/
Agreed
Got that right.
That performance of Black No 1 gives me chills every time 💚💚
Dir en Grey's vocalist is.....something else huh.
Dio and Serj Tankian would be good for this list.
RIP Pete Steele
Funny how Dani Filth didn't need two different songs to show his range. Same could have happened with Kyo (if you would have chosen a song like "Uroko").
Or different sense or obscure (lotus vers.) Or Red soil.
Ah mercy me Ville Valo and Peter Steele were my teenage goth obsessions. Their voices just do things to me. Kyo is a small man with a big voice. I believe he’s partially deafened himself too.
Axl can go lower than that, his backing vocals are often overlooked.
Michael Kiske from Helloween? Roger Taylor from Queen? After all Taylor sings the highest parts of Bohemian Rhapsody? Glenn Hughes? Prince?
Patton... Wow.
No Kiske, srsly wtf
Freddie has sung higher notes then the Bb5 in Bohemian Rhapsody.
More mainstream than the bands listed in the video
Honestly Axl should be higher on the list since he literally has the biggest vocal range of any singer alive right now
Mike Patton and Dimash (I don’t remember his last name) are the current record holders. Axl was the former record holder.
@@myownmusicarchive791 largest vocal range is currently held by Tim storms with 10 octaves

The vocals on the painkiller cover by death are INSANE
Freddie's vocal range was only 4 octave most people in the list had 5 octave mike patton having 6
@UC4Zyj4qiOiRXG-D8mqNPD9Q he can reach the 5th octave because his vocal range is an F2-f6
Corey has C1-C#7
Mike can reach Eb1-E7
Oh sweet baby geezus, you made me cry by including Steele into this. Also, thanks for remembering Ville Valo.
Ian Gillan, Deep Purple
Angel Deville Ian Gillan has more range than Robert Plant
Yes, Ian should have definitely made this list , Metal or not.
Well that i can agree on 100 %

+Nanaz SSJ he does, but to be going by some research, its said mike patton has the greatest vocal range in rock history
+Santiago Elias Hell yea , I think "Beyond the Wheel" , "Slaves and Bulldozers" , "Jesus Christ Pose" and "Say Hello to Heaven" are my personal favorite expressions of his incredible rangel.
+Santiago Elias Right? Spoonman and Like a Stone are pretty good examples of that dude's vocal range
Kyo belongs here.
Kyo Voice is Perfect and Unique
Not a single Iced Earth vocalist on this list. wtf.
Good point
I totally forgot about Iced Earth till about a month ago I found one of my old cd folders and i found a few of the albums in it. Man it sounds better now than ever!!
Keegan Beyer
They are hands down my all time favorite band.
+Connor Roth Not my all time favorite but for the genre of music they are up there.
Fuck yeah. Barlow's my favorite but Ripper and Stu are killer too. I actually love Ripper in Charred Walls, I just think that Barlow kinda voice suits IE better.
