I love Snow ❄️ and Cold weather the animals fascinated me I would love to see all the Beauty in person but that's not possible since I became disabled a little over 2 yrs ago. Channels like this keeps this 59 yrs old lady sane. 😊
Im 71 now n living in Maryland but lived in Anchorage for 20 years back 1970- 1990 n miss living there, i worked as an RN in the Burn Unit n as a flight nurse. I got to more than 40 towns through out the state. Alaska was so different back then. Like only one small movie theater, just afew grocery stores, only 3 thrift shops, no large stores like Costco.I did alot of cross-country skiing n came close to many wild animals such as moose, bears, eagles n was never afraid. Animals know fear so need to be calm. I could write a book on all the experiences i had. I did keep a long journal. I miss Alaska.
Driving with you through the roads of Alaska is something I never thought I could experience. Absolutely beautiful. Thanks for taking is along to town and having us explore with you! So happy to be here. Coral
I'm glad your FORD did not break down out there. The grocery stores in AK are price gouging you on many items. However a lot of it is due to shipping. We pay 1.10 -1.99 for dozen eggs in the midwest. Ground beef 4.50-5.50 a lb. is average. Milk is 3-4$ a gallon. When I go to TX, food is about the same but more driving. I been to Alaska many times, always armed. Them bears get hungry too. Smoked Salmon. Moose jerky. Bear stew can be delicious. Let's get cooking.
Nice video. 😍 love how you are so independent. Will be 68 in 3 weeks. Love living alone. No kids too. Love freedom. Never owned a 🚙 car. Live in the sunshine state. Went to Alaska in 2004 on a cruise. Loved it. Juneau. Sitka. Tracy arm. And saw some glaciers. Beautiful Alaska. Lived in California at the time. We left from San Francisco. Thanks for sharing. 😊
I'm envious in a way. I was so looking forward to an empty nest, enjoying retirement, and my grandchildren. Sadly, my husband passed away. Now I'm basically a mom again raising my grandchildren. They are 9 and 10. I've had them since they were 1 and 2. Their parents chose drugs. So I watch videos like this because I love an adventure and living in different places. I've lived in Alaska (Fairbanks), Washington, Montana, Florida, Indiana, California, and I'm currently in Tennessee.
@@bdmenneDefinitely Ashland, Oregon. It is truly a special place. I love it there. Housing is expensive but what a lovely town. I am thinking about moving elsewhere further north. I hate Tennessee summers. The humidity is so unpleasant for me. I do love the fireflies!
We were in Alaska in July last year. Absolutely beautiful. It’s so nice to recognize a lot of the sights you show along Richardson Highway. We did the train ride from Anchorage to Seward and back. We had a gorgeous sunny day. So much beauty. I highly recommend that train excursion. We had rented a van and then drove from Anchorage to Homer, spent some time there and then on to Seward. After spending time in Seward, we headed to Denali National Park. From there we headed to Fairbanks. There we did a river cruise on the Sternwheeler. Also on to North Pole, on to Tok and a side trip to Chicken, and then Valdez. We spent the day on a boat in Prince William Sound. We also were in Palmer and Wasilla. So much beauty. Loved everything about the trip. Would love to go back.
Just beautiful when the sun is shining on the mountains. The Asian market was a total surprise to me with the selection and quantity of fresh produce in the winter time. Very impressive. HEB is a family owned chain in Texas and they are great people. What Hurricane Harvey was making it's way inland, people were in the store panicking and the employees had it all under control. Plus they handed out a what to do info sheet. Thanks for the shopping. ❤
Hi Alone Randy Brabec from Wasilla Three Bears. You made my day to meet you at the store. I was so happy. You're not just a regular person as you told me. you're much more than that. Because of you I bought a small place and moved there. Thank you for your awesome videos. I said to myself that if you can do it, I can do it. Thank you, Alone. Stop by and say hi to me in the liquor store dept. next time you're in town.
I just found your channel. I'm digging it. I wish I could walk away from everything in this stressful world and live free like you. I already live alone with my dog. I truly enjoy being alone probably more than is normal. I've always dreamed of my own cabin away from the rest of the world. I'm not sure I'm ready but I'm gonna enjoy your videos. Thank you so much ❤
I'm too busy working for the man, so to speak, I work for the post office. Once I get secure in the job, I might consider a transfer to some far away place, maybe Alaska, maybe some place warmer, 😁. For now, I live vicariously through your videos and I enjoy it. ❤

Hi Alone and Kenai 👋🥰It’s good to see the both of you✌️ Yes I agree on the pricing. Seems a lot of things are around the same price as here in Michigan in some places. I’m thankful I have a neighbor that raises beef steer and I get my meat from them. It rounds out to about $5.11 per pound of any cut. Recently it was $920.00 for 180lbs of meat (1/4 cow). Hi Debbie! I don't remember what I paid in 2022 per pound of beef for the side of beef I purchased, but I am thankful that I purchased it when I did. The meat prices are so costly that I cannot imagine trying to fill my freezers from the grocery store. I rarely shop at Walmart and haven't been in a Sam's Club in years. I don't actually know if there are any in Alaska, but am thankful that I got a Costco membership finally. It has paid for itself, which is something that I did not mention in the video. I am glad that you are able to provide for you and your family with your chickens, garden and having neighbors who raise beef. Thank you again for being a channel member and watching the videos. 🤗💛
I was excited I thought you were going to take us in to cosco shopping with you. No grocery haul. It seems crazy expensive there. I can't imagine.... Ty Alone. Please stay safe.

Thank you for sharing. You are giving me a look at a lifestyle i was going to live before a life changing back injury stopped those plans. Such an amazing part of the world. Best wishes from Minnesota.
Love your background music and as far as the high prices goes to iiving in paradise? I would pay double to live in Alaska....high prices keeps the weak at bay.
I’m not planning on moving to alaska, but I love the stores with peeks of everything, especially thrifting, the mountains are amazing. my favourite shopping is a voice over as going along, with a few peeks of everything afterwards discussing meal planning, and the prices.
@@asullivan4047 Net zero means farmers and ranchers are carbon criminals now. John Kerry said the world has to be starved down to size. Climate warriors are making food worse, weird, scarce and expensive.
We are experiancing this food increase in Britain. I have to shop online now. It makes it easier to check store prices though. Enjoyed this. Thank you.
I visited anchorage back in December of 2022. Loved it. The Mountain View unbelievable and the people were so friendly. At one point I got stuck in the snow and about 6 people came out to help me. That was amazing. Had some reindeer dogs it was delicious. I would definitely go back but this time in the summer to experience the long days.

Thank you for sharing. You are giving me a look at a lifestyle i was going to live before a life changing back injury stopped those plans. Such an amazing part of the world. Best wishes from Minnesota.
Thank you for sharing your day. I’ve always dreamed of living in Alaska.
What a beautiful place you live in❤❤❤
I would love to visit Alaska before I die. Beautiful country
Love your background music and as far as the high prices goes to iiving in paradise? I would pay double to live in Alaska....high prices keeps the weak at bay.
I’ve noticed too at my local thrift stores the prices are outrageous too. No more bargains found.
Breathtaking scenery
I’m not planning on moving to alaska, but I love the stores with peeks of everything, especially thrifting, the mountains are amazing. my favourite shopping is a voice over as going along, with a few peeks of everything afterwards discussing meal planning, and the prices.
Watching from across America in Ga , Would of Loved that old wood stove . I admire you bein up there alone doing what you are .
Ziv Moran!!!! Love his music
I just left Alaska. I lived there most of my life. To cold. To dark. I didn't want to get trapped there when the supply chain goes down.
Yes indeed-!!!😳. That could be a problem-???🤔
@@asullivan4047 Net zero means farmers and ranchers are carbon criminals now. John Kerry said the world has to be starved down to size. Climate warriors are making food worse, weird, scarce and expensive.
When the shlt really hits the fan I'd rather be in Alaska.
I did love the antique cooking stove with oven.
We are experiancing this food increase in Britain. I have to shop online now. It makes it easier to check store prices though. Enjoyed this. Thank you.
Great video. Thank you
I visited anchorage back in December of 2022. Loved it. The Mountain View unbelievable and the people were so friendly. At one point I got stuck in the snow and about 6 people came out to help me. That was amazing. Had some reindeer dogs it was delicious. I would definitely go back but this time in the summer to experience the long days.
