The squeaking sound as you set down the pretty green pumpkin down made my smile. What a great sound :) Amazing harvest. So fun to watch you gather them all together.
We planted two spaghetti squash plants in our hugelculture raised bed, and they went insane. We've harvested well over twenty off of each plant, and there are still more out there. If I've counted correctly, we've brought in 51 so far.
I don't think you will be the only one who will be impressed with the squash when the rest of the family see them. It must give you a great sense of achievement to know how much all your hard work has paid of for you. Even im impressed and ive no idea what it tastes like. You have done fantastic this year im so happy for you. Jean Scotland.
You can pick some of your straw flowers and statice and decorate tiny pumpkins with them. Simply glue them on. Beautiful and long lasting decoration. Your kids can also decoupage some with pretty floral napkins. Great indoor activity:))
Beautiful squash harvest ~MY GOODNESS~! I can feel the happiness within you while watching!! 💖 WONDERFUL that your sunflowers have multiple heads just from letting the seeds drop and germinate for next spring. I had planted marigolds and each year they got taller! it was such a delight!! (Southern California) Thank You for Sharing~!💚
We usually ripen our tomatoes in the garage or pump house. We yank the plants, roots and all, knock off most of the soil, toss the root ends into wheelbarrows, wagons, or boxes, and put them indoors. We could heat the buildings, but they're well insulated so we haven't needed to so far.
Spectacular! Thank you for sharing your joy with us!! It's contagious! We weep with those weeping and rejoice with those rejoicing and this is unashamedly a rejoicing!
Growing up my dad grew lots of tomatoes at end of season when they didnt have time to ripen on vine he would harvest them and our job was to wrap them in newspaper and they were put into boxes and every couple days we would check and take out ripe ones.
What a lovely squash harvest. Have you tried growing Tromboncino and HoneyNut butternut squash. They are two of our favorites to grow and the are very prolific. The honeynuts are single serve size or maybe two people but they are so sweet and delicious. The Tromboncino are very long with a bulbous bottom that has all the seeds. The tromboncino's store for well over a year. They taste like Zucchini. We grow our Tromboncino's on a trellis so they hang down and this year we have many that are well over 5 foot long. They also make great feed for our chickens and ducks. The Honeynut's don't store for more than say 6 month's but they are absolutely delicious.
Whenever I come across farming, it takes me down memory lane. Losing my farm to the hurricane Florence on September 2018 here in North Carolina dealth a huge jab. But with an influx of $125k monthly made my family happy one more time
I am also in zone 3b here in Minnesota. My peppers didn't produce well because we had too much rain in June and July and unusually cool weather. The zucchini did well and the eggplant were very prolific. I wish I had more room. I love squash but didn't plant any this year as I had a knee replacement surgery. On aug 20th. I love your harvest videos.
Your excitement is so contagious. I'm in a cool zone in Australia and it is the beginning of our warm growing season here. You are just what I need to get motivated in all the preparation for it.
I just realized when you panned the squash patch that it is in the shelter of the out buildings - I'll bet they helped keep it warmer and/or caused cold air currents to go over the patch thus preventing it from freezing the first time. Fantastic harvest. Hoping to do mine tomorrow - there is a couple hubbard in mine so that I can try. I agree with you on burgess butter cup as mine only keep till January ish - but I love them. Good video! There is something so nice about a harvest like you got!
I want to know how you take care of your bell pepper plants to produce such large and shiny peppers. Your garden is very lush and gives me a very comfortable feeling.
That’s view!!❤ I grew red Hubbard squash this year! I love them too. I wanted to grow the Jarrahdale, which is an Australian variety but the seeds are hard to find.
Green Hubbard was a staple growing up here in South Africa. My momma was a master at stretching her budget and she used to scrub the Hubbard skin really well with a kitchen scrubbrush then peel it. She put the pumpkin up , cubed in the freezer and that night we had Hubbard peels cooked like greenbeans with potatoes. Cooked till soft with onions, garlic , potato and normal greenbean spices and of course black pepper, till soft then roughly mashed. It eventually became more popular with us kids than the pumpkin itself. Green Hubbard skin with its nutty flavour cut smaller pieces and cooked in pressure canner in chicken stock is gorgeous.
I have always admired your ability to grow winter squash with such great success. That's another way of saying I'm jealous of your winter squash every year😅 I grow in Iowa in the middle of crop country and every bug that loves every type of squash, melon or cucumber comes to my place. Needless to say I never know what I'm going to get, I guess it's just a surprise Harvest. Growing food is risky business!❤
What a lovely garden and wonderful harvest! Such a beautiful countryside you live in. Could you please tell me, do you plant seeds directly in your garden or do you start seeds indoors and transplant them? Thank you and blessings to you and your family🌻🎃🌻
I live a few 100 miles south and a little west in the Puget sound area of Washington, the maritime Pac NW. Our heat days and rain levels are similar during the summer as little Mountain Ranch even though we are zone 7b/8a and have over 210 frost free day. I start all heat loving plants indoors that have more than 70 days to harvest listed (unless a pac NW landrace). Additionally, I'll direct sow heat loving things up to 95 days to harvest listed hoping for a warm spring.
I only have grown butternut and account squash. I would love to see how you prep some of these different squashes. And what's the best uses of each squash. ❤
You're getting worried about the first frost, and we're looking forward to the first rain... In the meantime the pomegranates are ripe, and the olives will be ready soon. This world has a wonderful range of climates and produce.
I wonder if the pumpkins and squash got less frost damage because of being near the high tunnel? Like it heats up the earth around it as well so it was warmer on that side of the garden. It could also be because it would block the wind blowing up off the bottom of the valley. I could be absolutely wrong on those ideas
The squeaking sound as you set down the pretty green pumpkin down made my smile. What a great sound :) Amazing harvest. So fun to watch you gather them all together.
It truly is a joy to grow your own food. Forget how much work it is. You created it. Awesome. And teaching as you go. Another awesome!

I love all the things you do on your channel! Makes my day when I see one of your videos pop up! Enjoy your week! ❤
I feel exactly the same.
What you call "Makes me SO happy" would make me SO overwhelmed!😂

Don’t forget you have frost blankets to cover you garden, giving a few more days to you crops for maturing.
Wow! The background is soo beautiful. It is literally picture perfect.
You're so cute when you get so excited to see your squash. How do you keep from peeking all summer? I don't like a surprise, I would peek. haha
What a harvest!! And they are so beautiful--I love pretty food and you have it in abundance.
Wow, I'm in an apartment now and used to grow squash and pumpkins like that too. Hint : Take a picture of your tags when planting. Love all your stuff
Ok now that was a huge pumpkin. Great squash harvest.
It truly has been a fabulous garden year for you! It makes me happy to see all the beautiful bounty that has blessed you 😊❤
The highlight of my afternoon!! A new Chelsea video. I look so forward to these videos and learning new things.

I was in South Africa and they cube and roast pumpkin and serve it with everything! A great way to use pumpkin and it was delicious!
FYI your green peppers will turn color if you leave them to ripen in a box or on the counter
Whoa! Look at all those squash!!
you are sooo energetic and motivated
I love watching your channel and I planted spaghetti squash for the first time this year. One seed gave me 15 huge squash!
Beautiful harvest! I certainly hope you have a bunch of helpers!! 😊
She does, she just doesn’t put her children on the videos.
I love 💖 your garden !!! ☺💖👍
I saw someone on Pinterest who made Zucchini Flour and used it for baking. I would love to try that sometime
I'm a little jealous of your frost! Lol, I'm in California, and it was 101°f yesterday.
This may be weird, but I like the crunch as you walk through the squash patch!
Great harvest! Blessings 💞🙏🏻
Wow u did so good with the pumkins what gorgeous colours
🇦🇺You need a Bunkie as a produce room for ripening or as a drying room.

Your place is beautiful!

Hat a funny thing, I’ve never heard of that, so interesting.
Your garden is amazing! I can’t recall how long I have watched your channel but I think 3 years because this is “my” third squash harvest lol!!🩷

Beautiful harvest. I think the acorn type squash may be a "sweet meat" squash. I used to grow those as well as acorn squash, among other varieties.
BURR..I love the cooler weather..send them to TEXAS..Love your channel..thanks so much for sharing!!
wow and zamzam water
Brilliant harvest
Oh wow!!!
Hi Chelsea! You've probably talked about this before but do you have to water your garden? Everything is so green there! Including your pastures 🙂

Amazing!!!!!
Blessings +++!!!
Carman Manitoba just harvested a 1,280 pound pumpkin last week lol ❤
The 2nd tiny pepper that you pointed out in your greenhouse is actually the Tabasco. I’m not sure what the first one was.
Wow, so much great, biggins, lol you are amazing

Beautiful
I wonder if you put a low tunnel over those peppers inside the high tunnel they would ripen more if they need extra heat??
You've had an amazing garden this year. What do you do with all that produce?
Can, dry, freeze, freeze-dry, and save for later meals.
Great!
Awesome harvest. I love hubbard, its my favorite
Chelsea what about your bee’s, does the frost effect them or what do you have to do to keep them alive over the winter
Those carrot tops looks healthy. Make a couple batches of carrot top pesto!!!!
That is an awesome harvest! Great job! How do you keep your squash and pumpkins from cross pollinating?
