Interesting video, I recently installed the PAC FDd fuel tank in my car. It's good to compare the options. Personally I would look to upgrade the fuel lines too. You can eliminate the leaks that happened in this video, such as the banjo fitting and the clamp on the tank by using AN fittings. For what isn't a great deal of extra cost and won't take a huge amount of time, you will have reliability and peace of mind.
I didn't know they did a fuel tank for the FD! My reasoning for not doing the lines now is because the filter relocation fittings are -12. While i can use step down fittings, the factory hose diameter is plenty for what i want with the car. There is nothing wrong with reusing factory rubber lines. The leak from the banjo was due to a faulty copper washer.
@@JCYT The PAC tank is great, easy to fit up and can do triple pump. Completely agree though, there is nothing wrong with the factory lines. Personally I want to eliminate points of failure and prefer to stay away from clamps. Also I run e85 so the PFTE lines are a must. I too have a similar filter (aeroflow -12) that has been relocated just after the diff - previously it was on the diff, but there is not enough room with the bigger PAC tank. Stepping down to -8 has not caused any issues. I do take a lot of inspiration from your videos though, keep them coming. I plan on replicating your battery mod. Mine is currently in a moroso box in the boot, but I would like to make it a bit cleaner and I like your concept hiding it in the spare wheel well.
Hey mate No it was the standard kit but i think they have a slightly newer model with small differences. It came with all the fittings necessary to fit the walbro. I believe mine is Radium PN 20-0950
Amazing video! 😍 Could you please tell me what battery you're using? Does it need to be constantly connected to a charger? I'm considering replacing my 20kg Optima YellowTop with something smaller, but I'm concerned that my electric water pump will drain the battery quickly if I switched to a smaller battery. Thanks Jonathan
Hey mate it's a Lithiumax Race 9! No I never have it connected but have an isolator I can isolate the battery if I know it'll be parked up for a while. Holds charge well!
@JCYT I dunno man in my opinion some things just look good as they are. It's not only the body that's timeless on a fd but the interior is just as much so.
Well done man, looking awesome !!!! 414rwhp@16psi On another note are you uploading a video on how you upgraded and relocated your lithium battery + isolator by any chance? Keen to see how it was done & highly interested.
There are reasons this particular injector was chosen, and the potential to make further upgrades in the future. Not planning and im sure my tuner would agree, we will not be maxing the secondaries for my goals. The 525 will suffice for now!
I do love Radium products so definitely would have gone Radium rail also - however they are not so cheap in aus, About 300-350 AUD. I also wanted to keep the billet look consistent in the engine bay. Raceonly is local to me and i love their products

@@cemturyan2653 I think in the future i will have no choice shall i decide to turn it up (which i will). I think for now i'd be happy with 300kw!
Really enjoying this build, Jonathan! You do a great job of making things clear and concise and I really appreciate that. Keep it up!
Thank you so much my dude! Glad you enjoyed it
Love your FD mate. All the best for the tune.
Appreciate it mate! Thank you!

Let's see how the tune goes and maybe I'll be forced to change them!
Thanks for the support 🙏
Did you need a specific model of Radium surge tank to fit the 525 pump? If so, which one did you get?

Bro just made 79 series into fuel efficient vehicle and cheap to mod. $2 dollars coin rolls away on every backfire.
Hahahahaha tbh i don't think the 79 is much better... both drink fuel like it's nothing

Why didn't you just go Radium all the way? Secondary rail is $200 and it's scalable to 4 injectors. Raceonly is super over priced.
