  • Hi my name is David. I finally got a Juggernaut Torque Converter Driver from GoPowersports and am going to do some experimentation with it. I put it on and initially didn't like it much, but that was because my driven pully has a stiff spring in it, but once I put the stock spring back in it I liked it much better. there is a lot of torque converter talk in this episode, I hope you enjoy it.

I have had best results running a 60 in the rear with a 10 on the tav30. i also ran a 10 and a 72 tooth on the rear and both got me around the same speed. i tried to switch to a 11 tooth with the 60 and went slower with the same rpm. I am currently at 56 mph with 19" tires and my weight is 280 lbs and i feel lke a longer straight will get me more speed. i am revving to 7500 rpm, i have a 212 with a .308 cam and 26lb springs and a port and polished head with a stock length rod. also running the stock red spring in the middle hole.

What it means is your going to be high in the rev range at lower speeds and you will wear your rod or rod bearing out faster. Run good oil and change frequently.

Ya know, if you’re gonna be messin with a lot of motor stuff you just might keep a stock valve spring head around for camshaft break in. Instead of having to swap everything around twice.

Interesting how you documented this trial and error on the drive system. It is very helpful in determining between speed and torque. If your climbing small hills you need torque with speed on the flat. BWX channel is going through this process.

I don't think you can get overdrive with a Juggernaut. Have heard other guys say it never even gets to 1/1. And from the RPM some of them get there's no way it got to 1/1.

The Juggernaut doesn't have any overdrive. You run a taller gear. I'm turning 6700 rpm with a EC Carburetors .265 cam, Juggernaut, 5:1 gearing, 19" tire, driven green spring set to delay shift and doing 55 mph.

You need to mess with the weights in your juggernaut to find the correct stall

I just now came across this video, this is putting me sorda in the direction I want to go. you ended up running the same gearing I have now but I'm on a 20" tire. I'm running the stock weighs in the driver but with the silver springs. I got highest mph when I moved my yellow spring to the 3rd hole. got to 46mph I'm 260lbs, my brother who is 200 lbs also topped at 46mph, not sure what to think of that other than it has more in it and we are both just topping out on rpm? somewhere around 4400. I want to try the juggernaut, I would like to see 55mph, from the limitations of the 30 series it might be my only way to see it.

Wish I would've found your video a few weeks ago. Just today I got my bike figured out, went through many of the steps you took. Great minds think alike!

I would try the 4,000 rpm stall Juggernaut pulley. I seen it get up to 62mph with a similar set-up as yours. It sounds like too high of a 'stall' speed (and that's what I first thought) but it works surprisingly well without a lot of slippage. I'm think that since your stall is so low (2,000 rpm) and your motor is capable of such high rpms of over 6,200 that it somehow throws your Juggernaut pulley into chaos and goes whacky on ya. Let me know if it works. I'll be watching for it...

im doing the same setup on my chopper, but im adding a oil cooler. if you intend to ride for any long period of time, a oil cooler will help.

You should use a green spring.

That thing is begging for another gear. Someone needs to come up with a low and high gear box.
