Noticed the hoist was not a drive on, so the rear end hangs down causing the angle of the third member to be different from what it would be on a level surface. Because of this, the diff will not be 100% full even when the oil starts flowing over the fill plug threads. Will this make any difference in the long run?

My 2015 Mustang also calls for the Ford specific additive.

Thats because its a track loc diff - this one is an open carrier (likely)
