Thanks for the thorough, and well paced video! Flushed mine with you in my ear the whole time. And I agree, the quality of your voice is an added bonus 😂
Glad it was helpful! :)
I like your voice adds to the quality of the video
If you're lucky, you'll have 2 metallic tags on your rear axle that tells you what type of fluid to use as well as details as to what the OEM gear ratio is and the gear size (i.e. 8.8). Turns out that my 02 Mustang has both tags attached. It'll be a good idea to reattach those tags when you reattach or replace the cover. I suppose some mechanics don't bother reattaching the tags. I noticed both tags are shown in this video (one on the drivers side and one on the passenger side).
Yes, it's a good way of knowing without a service manual.
In the service manual, it may also state a similar fluid you can use which is not listed on the metallic tags too.
my 04 mustang GT Wheels don't spin in the same direction was the rear end changed?
I'm confused. My owners manual states that the rear axle fluid isn't to be changed or checked unless the axle has been immersed in water. Or
when service is required - what does that mean?
Really?
What is that support for? Do I have to put it back?
It's always good to put back what you took off, haha!
My owners manual doesn't specify GL-5.
