I didn’t know the word “RACISM” until I came to North America. It doesn’t matter the color of your skin, your shape, or your background; in El Salvador you are treated the same if you are saldadorean. Please do not bring that victimization bull sh** that exist in The USA. Yes, we joke around. We can call “negro” to our friend, the same we call “gordo” to a chubby body, but is just for affection and love.
A bit different if you are a tourist, then I could say you will be treated different, but it will be for the fact that you are just a simple tourist. Again, it won’t matter you are white, black or grey.

Afro-Salvadorans were assimilated into the current ethnic makeup well over 100 years ago. The very few Afro-Salvadorans currently in existence are most likely first or second generation born in ES of Afro immigrants into ES from Belize, Honduras and Nicaragua mainly, few from Costa Rica and Panama. Back in colonial times, African slaves were forbidden in ES, this is the main reason why you don’t see many descendants. The few slaves or freed slaves that were able to settle in ES disappeared or were assimilated with time.

The problem with videos like this is that you're presenting a false narrative that there are populations of Salvadorans that are predominately African. This girl is of course black, but it's because her father is Black Guyanese! She is of recent immigrant descent. Putting "forgotten people" in the title makes it seem like there are communities of Africans living in El Salvador that have been hidden away from the spotlight and that's just not the case. I've come across "Afro-Salvadoran" organizations that are made up mostly of insane liberals from the USA that get some cornrows and pretend to be black. It's no different from white people claiming to be 1/16th cherokee. It's insanity and should honestly be offensive to real Afro-Latinos that are visibly and undoubtedly black.

Also you don’t hear a lot about Belice, both Guyanas, and Surinam. You could imagine that the second President in Mexico Guerrero was an Afro descent person who abolished slavery before Lincoln but never mentioned. Just to give you an idea check the music of some countries that are from Afro descent people Candombe from Uruguay, Bomba Ecuatoriana, Bomba Puertorriqueña, Palo and Merengue, and Punta (from the Garifuna people) are examples of invisibility.

The truth why we don't have Afro-Salvadoran community in El Salvador like in the neighbor countries, is because one of ours country father whose name was José Simeón Cañas, abolished slavery on March 11th, 1824 , I believe El Salvador was the first country to do it so in the world , 65 year's before France and USA. Did after the assassination of Malkon X , and the murder of Martin Luther King

I grew up in El Salvador, and there always kids who are bullies just like any other country, and i can understand the pain this caused to this beautiful young lady. El salvador has only one type of discrimination, the rich vs the poor .
When I moved to the US, I served in the US Marine and thats when i learned and experiened racism and descrimination, i was called every single racist name and punished by just been the only latino in my platoon, I was always assigned to hard labor for no reason to be punished with AWOL and soldiers who have disorderly conduct . , I was hit and humiliated in front of my peers and others and my superiors never punished the soldiers involved, in fact i was asked if i want to leave the Marines or continue my service in the Navy or leave with Honoroble discharge to protect the white racist soldier. So I left and became a network engineer

The rest of central american countries have more blacks because they had beaches on the Atlantic ocean El Salvadior does not. When blacks got to Central America most of them were brought during the slave trade but there was an incident were some escape from english ships and ended up in Honduras, Nicaragua and Guatemala. Philly Dom with you talking about the low views thing one thing you could do is try to make your titles more click baity with more intresting and exciting thumbnails to catch your target markets attention more. I've been seeing a UA-camr who had lower views grow a lot in a short time by doing this. Keep uploading consistently but think quality over content. Maybe make your vids a little shorter and end them with a cliff hanger so the audience will anticipate the next one as they will want to see what happens next. You might also want to try making some of your titles Spanish or use some Spanish words in them.

More than racism there is discrimination for social class. That is the biggest social issue. The most racist thing that does happen, is that Salvadorans tend to prefer foreigners or “exotic” looking people compared to the mixed general population but it gets nowhere near the racism that countries like USA have on their mind. We just don’t have the same historical problems, since race was never a major factor, it’s always been political, and ideological divisions for El Salvador.

PD is taking on a project. A great project, because El Salvador is not known for having Afro descendants but it begs the question, how is it possible?? Honduras, Nicaragua, Belize, Costa Rica, panama, all have Blacks. There's gotta be something lost in Salvadorian history regarding Afro descendants there.🇸🇻🇸🇻🤔
