Not meaning to insult ya here but I’m tired of hearing that excuse all over again. In my opinion it’s simply called structure. Made a good game honestly, I think. Still, have a nice day and gameplay.
The only reason im still playing is because of the story and characters cause Im getting bored af, those missions, main or secondary, are allways the same thing, i dont even try stealth anymore, at this point i just arrive at the place and start shooting at first sight and end it quick.
@constantinbliege4638 it's not an excuse though. The first 2 games had me really in tune with it's story and was loving it, was so hyped for 3 n then it just got released as a boring repetitive open world shoot them targets and capture that area default that open worlds like to do these days. Yes you get the odd good mission here and there with a decent cutscene, but that's very limited. Every time I try to replay it I just can't do it because it just becomes so boring and repetitive
One of the things the mafia games REALLY need to fix if they ever do a mafia 4 is the depth to the world . There is nothing to do outside of the story . They build these awesome cities but don’t give you any really reason to explore other than dumb collectables! Where are the mini games (poker , pool , Casinos , etc ) and empire building ! I was super excited for mafia 3 because I expected them to really let you build your empire as Lincoln with capos , fronts , rackets ETC . Godfather 2 did this and while it was a great start , no game ever really tried to expand on this . I’d love to see a mafia 4 set in the 70’s /80’s where you really build your family (say after your family has been decimated by government Rico case and informants ) and your just a junior member of the 5 families . You have to protect your current fronts while building up new rackets . There could be a system where you can “make “ guys and how you spread money around influences the guys underneath you . Don’t promote guys they could withhold money . Let a capo get to powerful he might move against you . Send a guy on a dangerous job , he could flip if he gets caught .
Yea man I agree I believe Godfather did it better in my opinion, and 9x out of 10 we probably won’t get those things in the next Mafia depending on newer audiences for modern gaming, they wanna cut down on everything and Remove offensive content from games, but hopefully one day we do get a Mafia 4 where they do expand on gameplay like Godfather Did but games like those they don’t make anymore🤔

I guess it comes down to your style of playing with this. I'm currently having a blast with Mafia 3, but I'm not the type of player that strays a lot from the missions, I pretty much only focus on the story and side-missions in most games and have been sticking to the story only in this game so far. I guess Mafia 3 is much more comparable with Cyberpunk where the city is pretty much a fancy backdrop for the main story, instead of GTA where you can actually spend hours of just exploring the map and doing side activities.
@@frodo3556 Mafia 3 is actually a good game it’s just a lot to take in when you get done playing the storyline, I haven’t touched the game since I played the whole storyline, and completed the side missions and DLC, it’s kinda repetitive which is good, the downside about the game is that it gets boring eventually, but for me personally the game is too deep for me especially with the details in racism in the game
I bought this game recently. My only disappointemt of mafia 3 is there is no bikes/motorcycles. But great gameplay and script. Makes u feel like your the Terminator 😂
Mafia 3 is super underrated its voice acting and cutscenes and story was really good. Mafia 1 was my favorite but 3 was definitely solid playing through it again as we speak because of the new mafia game announcement!!!!! Old country is going to be EPIC
I remember playing mafia 3 back in 2022 but i never finished it until i heard that hanger 13 announced that the dlcs for it will be free to download so i went to replay sometime ago and its one of my favorite games, the story, characters, soundtrack and gun mechanics were amazing, but unfortunately it suffers alot from glitches and it's repetitive gameplay, i like the sense of progression where you take out a marcano and give their turf to your underbosses, but these takeout missions feel exactly the same, it makes Lincoln feel like an unstoppable terminator than a mafia boss, as for the glitches the only one i encountered abit more frequently is when you can't interact with your informants and you have to restart the game, the dlcs were pretty good my favorite one was stones unturned, it made me wish hanger 13 would make a Donovan spinoff game where you go on secret missions.
W take, personally I found it made sense he was this terminator vietnam vet, who still really just doesnt get much of a happy ending despite being successful at usurping the mob. game is a different vibe
Story was awesome, cut scenes and voice acting were amazing, some missions were repetitive, gameplay was amazing. Overall one of my favorite games on ps4
Honestly, time has been kind to this game. It turned from my least favorite Mafia game to my favorite one. The gameplay, while repetitive, is good above and beyond any other third person open world game I've played including GTA games. Especially if you are into stealth gameplay. They did an amazing job with it. At first I was expecting something similar to first two Mafia games, so it put me off when I had to do similar missions over and over but only after a while it dawned on me that the gameplay itself was actually sick and I didn't mind doing it many times on different environments. If you are just running and gunning, I can see how it could be boring, but stealth? It is amazing. It's almost on the level of a full on stealth game. Smooth, snappy, clean, flows beautifully, your commands are respected perfectly, you can plan and execute as you see fit. I just love it. Amazing graphics, fantastic setting, great characters, fun driving gameplay (seriously, probably the best open world driving I've seen), big open word to wonder around, it's just fun to play. Granted it has its faults. Open world don't have many activities, missions don't have many variations, it used to have a lot of bugs and performance problems. That said, I really recommend everyone playing this game with an open mind, giving it chance even if you have tried it before. I dropped this game twice the first two times I tried it. That was because I wanted a Mafia game like the first two. While it is not like the first two, I still respect the direction they took. I do believe it is still a Mafia game, just a different kind. It is a respectful and creative change of direction and the devs deserve more praise for making a game like this.
Playing this right now, and I am enjoying it. Although there are alot of bugs and is repetative... and takes forever to load when you die. Aside from that I am enjoying the game.
Mafia 2 is my favorite, but Mafia 3 is also a great game. I just bought it since it was on sale. It’s different from Mafia 1 and 2, but it’s still a good game. It didn’t deserve the hate that it got. It’s a nice revenge story, and if you’re a Punisher fan you’ll enjoy it.
Ive been a fan of the mafia franchise since the 1st game back in the early 2000s. My biggest issue with M3 (other than the obvious repetitive gameplay) is the fact that hangar 13 & 2k never addressed the bugs & glithces in the game that renders The Signs Of The Times dlc broken. you are able to work on renovating Sammys bar which i personally really liked seeing the progress of, but you can't start reconstruction because the game glitches a key person in an unaccessible part of the bar preventing you from fixing the bar, doing additional missions, & unlocking rewards after the bars fully fixed.
Just bought this game because I’m tired of facing Terminators in GTA V, yes, I’m referring to the cops that always find you and never miss shots. I dunno how they thought that’s a good idea to make cops that will 100% kill or arrest you and find you even if you shoot someone in the dessert.
The repetitive problem i feel like the real problem is the distance and the missions i would add a new character in the game and the same way you can call the guy with the gun trucks or the woman that can take care of your money , this new character can be your driver the same way they do it in gta 4 and it s up to you so you can enjoy the view or skip it Since he s not a taxi driver you can pay him 1000 $ per ride or you can buy some weapon from him too
The update to have The Old Country banner somehow ruined the controller support because it works 50/50 upon starting. If the gameplay mechanics and mission progress were tweaked around for let's say, a Complete Edition, Mafia 3 would probably be one of my top 5 favorite open-world games.
I was skeptical about this game because of negative reviews. Started to play recently and I should say im regretting that I didn’t play this game before. The atmosphere is really good My only complaint about this game is bug If they patched those crazy bugs it would have been much better
Well I know a lot of people like this game and others really dislike it so it’s good to let people know what to expect. Not everyone is going to like the sound of the game like you.

Mafia 3 is very good game...now. At launch, it was unplayable and I shelved it. However after the 3 DLCs and QoL changes made by Hanger 13 is was really fun. The DLC added silencers and throwing knifes which can be used in the main story which made stealth missions much more enjoyable. The DLC missions enhanced the main game, such as growing weed which you could sell and earn money. Also, no needless side mission crap that is usually used to fill open-world games is here. Play it like a 3rd person shooter vs. an open world game, and you'll have a good time.
For me it was unplayable on xbox series x. After a while, no missions appear any longer on the map. After reinstalling that crap, it didn't work either
I gave you your 500th thumbs up!! Great video, personally I absolutely love Mafia 3 for several reasons: Lincoln is a great protagonist, the late 60's New Orleans atmosphere is fantastic and discovering the map is super fun, the soundtrack is legendary, our crew (Donovan, Cass, Vito, Burke) are colorful and likeable, the story is fun to follow and well written, the game play is repetitive for sure but super action-packed and fun to do....in my opinion it's a gem, thanks for recommending it in 2024! 😀👌🏻
The story is great. The DLC is mostly okay some better than others. The gameplay is really fun. There a too many collectibles ngl but whatever. Overall it’s a great game just take it slow and enjoy the 60’s. If the missions start to get too repetitive just take a break and come back.
*can anyone tell me if there’s game breaking bugs? Had to give up my first playthrough of the original release due to not being able to speak to a character that sends you onto the whole next piece of the story*
Mafia 3 was definitely redundant when it came to a lot of the side missions . However I did enjoy the combat, driving, and characters. So for me it’s one of those games I would still play from time to time because I feel like it wasn’t as bad as everyone said it was.
I love this game. The combat is so brutal and fun that I never really got tired of doing the same shit over and over. I have never played the other two games so that helps I imagine. I just purchased them both so I will give it a go. Being a short skinny white dude….it was fun playing as a brick shit house buff guy on a murderous rampage.
Im replaying it currently trying to remember everything i own all dlcs so yet every time I boot it up it says i have the definitive edition but i dont i bought it when it first came out i thought it was trash but now that im older and more wise i think its a solid game with good gun play my advice dont use the tommy gun you wont hit a damn thing i recommend the m1 Carbine or the kpist smg at least youll hit what your aim at
Totally, they should have given us the ability to fast travel at at least 3 or 4 specific places (Donovan's motel, Sammy's, so on). I really like the map so driving around isn't boring to me, but yeah they still should have allowed fast travel to a degree.
i didn’t really like the game, at least compared to the other 2, but at its absolute worst it’s a mediocre game that has a good amount of highlights. Controls can be still, i still have bugs, and the map could be better, but the game is probably worth playing still.
I just bougth Maffia 3 also because i liked the idee of a storry in the 60's. I Must say i bougth it cheap for les has 10€ with all DLC's included. So i took the glitches with it for that price you can't complaine and i don't regret it i had a lot of fun playing it.
I just started playing Mafia at all.. didnt knew this franchise. The first Mafia was amazing, i disliked the second... not only bcs of bugs, but also bcs combat and driving was clumsy in my eyes. Now im thinking if i should buy Mafia 3 ... is it better than 2? Really hated 2.
Does anyone know if the mafia trilogy is on Xbox one and if so is it on game pass and if not how much is it? I can’t go on my Xbox and look as I’m overseas😅 and I don’t trust the internet
Is mafia 3 definitive edition better than regular mafia 3, or not? Do you need to download a thousand fucking patches to fix the game like the original mafia 3? I downloaded several update patches for OG Mafia 3, the last update patch soft locked my game and will not allow me to progress. So wtf is the deal with the definitive edition? That's all we need to know. I don't care if the game looks barely any better.
People never get out of the minimap and actually learn the map and choose the missions you enjoy. It is one of the best games i have ever played, god forbid you have to pay attention and put effort into playing the game. Lazy, unimaginative gamers, crying, and they're the loudest. It's one of the things drivinging the gaming industry to the ground. Especially solo campaign driven games.
Are we talking about the same game the mouth never follows the sound and the every sound is completely off and you never now where in the aiming of almost every single weapon. I’d loved 1 and 2 but 3 because of bugs in 2024 is a waste of money and time
@@G8oo8N8 im not really a hater. The ps5 version is just messed up. I loved M1 and M2 and M3 aswell on ps4. I also played all the dlc's. I loved it. But the Defintive edition is just bad. Especially on ps5. Current Version is 1.12. Version 1.09 just had better graphics :3

Just sucks that this game never got the proper fixing of the bugs and glitches but also a PS5 Upgrade. Would have done a lot better.
Exactly!!! Getting achievements is hard, especially for the family trophy
I just bougth Maffia 3 also because i liked the idee of a storry in the 60's. I Must say i bougth it cheap for les has 10€ with all DLC's included. So i took the glitches with it for that price you can't complaine and i don't regret it i had a lot of fun playing it.
same with me, i love this setting and had a good time playing it
Far as I'm concerned I am happy we finally have a playable 6ft4 character in a video game
Honestly I loved this game. Everything was perfect except for the repetition
I preferred 2, if I had to order them then they go in order of release.
Does anyone know if the mafia trilogy is on Xbox one and if so is it on game pass and if not how much is it? I can’t go on my Xbox and look as I’m overseas😅 and I don’t trust the internet
It is on Xbox one but not on game pass. It’s £50.
@@Calzee ok thank you
Absolutely play Mafia 3,it still stands up even though it's a old game, the dialog is great and the story rocks, happy gaming everyone, peace ✌️
for sure!
Yes u should.Its a great game
Yessir!
Mafia 3 is the best one imo... people that hated it just didnt want a BM protaganist
I enjoyed it.
This game would be considered a goat if it wasnt so repetetive
And same with mafia 3 needs a remake too.
It has all the DLCs and whatnot so yes. The DLCs are pretty great for this game and I highly recommend doing them side content throughout the game!
I would say it’s near enough the same but you get way more content as all the post launch content is integrated into the main game
Mafia Trilogy is Still a Broken Mess 4 Years on. It NEEDS a Next Gen Patch
I’d loved 1 and 2 but 3 because of bugs in 2024 is a waste of money and time
i didn't have that audio glitch, maybe its a common issue i'm not sure. but i found the performance to be not bad.
We need Mafia online
This game was great dont know why it got hate
Mafia 3 was the best one🤷🏼not many games are set around the Vietnam war/era can only make games around the mafia so many times before it gets boring
One of my favorite games of all time. I don't get all the hate?
mafia 3 is a rough diamond, shame on the tasteless normies who're too stupid to appericiate it
true
I used to play it when I was 6 😂
but it looks like nothing to what i used to see
Já taky hraju mafii 3
Mafia 3 story sucked compared to mafia 1 & 2
Mafia 2 story? You mean that shitty cliffhanger ending? Gtfoh lol
You gotta be a racist if you didn’t like the story
Your crazy mafia 2 sucked mafia 3 was great!
If I was to rank the story for me it would be
1. Mafia 2
2. Mafia 3
3. Mafia 1 DE
@@jesseomollo9405 rofl this is worst hot take I ever read.
Tbh Mafia 3 is more fun than the Mafia remake
Fair
mafia 3 has better detailed graphics than gta 5
The remake or original?
Clicked off cause you can’t pronounce your Rs
Right 😂 let me magically fix that
Answer to the videos title: NO U SHOULD NOT buy that game. The graphic bugs will make u deinstall that piece of trash again. TRUST ME.
Buy It!
You can get all 3 Definitive Editions for under $20.
The story is top notch.
Yes buy it don't let 1 hater determine your game play. 3 games for 14.99$ right now.
@@G8oo8N8 im not really a hater. The ps5 version is just messed up. I loved M1 and M2 and M3 aswell on ps4. I also played all the dlc's. I loved it.
But the Defintive edition is just bad. Especially on ps5.
Current Version is 1.12.
Version 1.09 just had better graphics :3
not true
@dieinpeacetonight Ok im sorry, did not mean to offend you. But it is true. All 3 games have issues and stuff.. they not fun but is about the story . :) sorry brother.
Bro thinks a game from 2010 needs a remake 💀
I said “I think it’s sort of” due, not definitely.
Either way, The Last Of Us got one lol
i liked it
Cool accent
thanks haha
I'd rather play Godfather The Game than this garbage fire of a sequel.
damn
@@Calzee What..., it's a good game, one of the better movie tie-ins because it wasn't cashing in on the hype of a new movie.
@@kiillabytez it probably is but I wouldn’t say mafia 3 is garbage fire
@@Calzee You wouldn't, but I did.
