Simple Minecraft Pig Farm - Automatic Pig Cooker

- In this tutorial, we build a Simple Minecraft Pig Farm with a built in auto-cooker and the option to use a looting sword instead. It also has a built in timer to let you know when you can breed the pigs again. This is a similar design to my "EASY Automatic Cow Farm for Minecraft" ( • EASY Automatic Cow Far... ), but with a few important modifications taking into account the different size hit box between the cow and pig.

This is the best minecraft tutorial I have ever watched. So many tutorials assume you know things that aren't explained. You managed to make an informative tutorial in 6 minutes and explained what you were doing as you went along. Great work, looking forward to more content :)

This is the best automatic pig farm I've seen so far, what makes it so amazing it how its almost fully automatic, therefore if you need food and you need to get ready for battle you just need to press the button and your all ready, might need to wait a little to get a full stack though or you need a lot, just notice if you wait too long the pigs will suffocate and drop raw porkchop, to fix this you can just make a carpet duper (unless it is against the rules of whatever server your in) that is hooked up to a water system that makes hoppers bring it to a furnace and then just put your raw porkchop into it and then that fixes your problem, that's the only downside to pig farms because in all of them they can easily suffocate which is something you can't really fix but you can still make it better by manipulating it. Sorry for being late to the video I was just watching random videos and I saw this sadly 1 year late 😅. My review 9.5/10

Could you connect the observer to a sticky piston to suffocate the pigs? Building this in a village with a villager that trades raw pork chops for emeralds
I would recommend instead just using a looting sword without flame so you get more drops. I would also recommend checking out my melon and pumpkin farm as a fully automatable crop you can trade for emeralds.

Nice farm! Is it possible to add a clock to the lava dispenser to automate the killing of adult pigs every 20 min (the time it takes for them to grow)? That way I could breed the pigs and start the clock so the adults will be killed when they grow up. Or maybe just a 20 min clock to tell you when you can use a sword to kill the pigs so you don't accidentally murder the babies too.
you could add a clock, but that would obviously remove the abilty to come in with a looting sword if you have been away long enough for them all to have grown up. Just be careful to avoid the unlikely possibility that the babies are falling down from breeding in the same moment that 20 minute timer goes off and kills the babies while they are falling.
it didn't work for me. The trapdoor the pigs stand is to big for the babies to fall through, to the level underneath. what did i do wrong???
you can also add a button or lever next to the trapdoor if you want to be able to open and close it

Is there a limit to how many breeding pairs of pigs you can keep in the top?
there is something called entity cramming... when you have 25 entities in a single block (unless you do something to mitigate it like placing a ladder or a vine which you CAN'T do here as you need that block to be air so you can add water) one will start to take damage and eventually die. That means you would think you could have 24, but the babies being there would be the 25th and one of the adults would start taking damage... so in practice it is a little less. that said, doesn't really hurt you as if the adult dies it the drops will fall into the hopper below (just not cooked).

Great design but having one problem, The baby pigs jump around and get killed by lava sometimes, Any fixes?
that is strange as I had never seen them jump in my testing (just rotating sometimes). Not sure how that could be fixed in a contraption this small if they are jumping high enough to match hit boxes with the adults. Is your build an exact copy of this one?

Whenever I burn the the pigs the lava burns the food. Do you know why?
are you sure the food is being burned and not just picked up by the hopper faster than you realize? if so, did you change the timing of the lava? can you post some screenshots?
The babies keep getting stuck with the bigger pigs on the trap door. Not sure why?
you can lure them off with food, or let them grow up and become part of your breeding stock.

@@DanniLivesForever lol... chickens and rabbits have to small of a hit box. I made an fully automatic chicken farm video you should check out for them... the cow farm will work for sheep as well, but neither will work for rabbits.
