These are still available in the USA ragweedforgestore.com/products/finman-utility-knife-101?_pos=1&_psq=finman&_ss=e&_v=1.0 I did hear that they were out of stock there. Well they have them again. Possibly the lack of availability here in Finland and abroad has been due to issues that I am unaware of and perhaps they will be available in the future. If anyone has more information please let me know.
I just got one from Ragweed and found my old green one. The new ones like yours are indeed Lauri blades, 80crV2. My old one I got from Ragnar years ago and I believe they were sold by Ahi, and are stainless. I'm gonna throw it in the basket on the 4 wheeler to use around the barn and the farm. Thanks for the reminder!!
Thanks for watching, I think they are doing well out of this video. Lots of people buying these from ragweed 😂. Such a little known knife and such good value for money. Quite glad I got them a bit of exposure really. Maybe too late as I am still not sure if they are still in production. They seem to be very thin on the ground at the moment. Thanks for watching mate.
I think if they had of got a bit more exposure on platforms such as this they would probably have still been making them. One little video from me that probably got about 100 views was about it 🤣. They really are very handy lightweight, cheap utility tools. Just like a Mora. Great backup knife in the fishing tackle bag or somewhere. Thanks for stopping by Alex.
Never seen this before, thanks for sharing. Looks like a great untility knife i just placed an order for one each. I always wanted something like a mora from finland.
Did you see the link? Ragweed forge has them. Probably the cheapest Finnish knife you will ever see 😂. Obviously not the best, but good and something a bit different. Thanks for stopping by Ray.
It looks like a top knife Tim bro ! ..full of useful features. Great review as always my friend ! I see Unni is on squirrel watch ! 🐾😊 I have a Mora knife somewhere in the attic in green plastic.. another top knife for the economical price !
Moras are great too Andy. Unni always on the lookout for squirrels and reindeer. She even saw a horse once. Wanted to chase that of course. Thanks for watching mate.
Looks like a handy little knife. I have the Hultafors heavy duty, which seems similar and is still available for cheap. As you said, Mora is not the only game in town. Hello to Unni! Cheers!
I have just found out that they have these back in stock in ragweed forge. Maybe they were unavailable only for a time . There are lots of these kind of knives here in Finland. I particularly like these ones though.
Si amigo, son buenos y muy baratos tambien. Como un mora pero diffarente, y con un acero mejor en mi opinion. Me gusta 80CRV2. Gracias por ver el video amigo. Un abrazo
Awesome, great timing.Did you see it on sale somewhere? I hear Ragweed forge still has them and there is one place I know of in Finland. Thanks for watching mate.
Very similar, a bit more expensive and the plastic belt loop breaks really easily. There are many of these plastic handled knives here. The timberjack is certainly one of the better ones Thanks for watching mate.
My timberjack was dirt cheap. As I'm left-handed, I cut the plastic thing off and used velcro to make a dangler. Whatever works, really 😂 Finnish knives are horribly underrated.
Is that a thumb ramp-pushy thingy on the sheath to assist with knife extraction? I couldn’t quite tell if you were using it or not. As loosely as it carries in the pocket with that clip it would be nice if it were. Great video Tim, and Maggie, my GSP dog says “hello Uni”! Good to see the both of you.
Is that Maggie on your thumbnail? I can only barely make it out to be honest on this phone. Yes I should have mentioned the thumb ramp and that is exactly what it is and what it does. The sheath retention is quite strong and especially if you carry it in a pocket as I do, the thumb ramp is necessary. Thank you for watching Mark, greetings to you and Maggie from me and the Unni beast.
@@KuukkeliBushcraft Yup, that’s Maggie on my thumbnail. She’s much more easy on the eye than my old mug! 😂 Thanks for answering my question, I’ll keep an eye open for when we get them here again. Might have to get me one…
Try this link, maybe they ship to Estonia www.ostajanonni.fi/tuote/finnman-101-puukko-hiiliteras-punainen/?gad_source=1&OnlineHinnat.fi& Thanks for watching mate.
Awesome, thanks for the info. I heard they were out of stock at ragweed too. If they are back hopefully it means that they are back in production. Still thin on the ground in Finland though.
There are quite a few companies doing the same here in Finland. Nowadays a lot of them are actually made in China, so they will have hit the Finnish market. Mora of course have done a little better on selling on the international market. Lindsblom is another Swedish one popular here and about the cheapest. Thanks for watching Dan.
The knife itself does not seem like anything special. You can get genuine Mora at around same price.. but that reversible "clip" in the sheath is unique and brings some nice attachment options that other common knives do not have. Also that big round hole in the sheath could be useful for hanging it from a nail or carabiner 😆
I like the sheath it's a bit different. I think these kind of knives are probably more interesting to people in other countries, as there are so many of them here and not just Mora. Anyway it's got to be better than a Mora. Made in Kauhava and not in Sweden 🇫🇮🤣
Yes kellam sell knives made by various Finnish manufacturers. I used to hear about Kellam knives and thought it was a Finnish knife manufacturer. I was confused by the fact that I couldn't find their knives in Finland (and by the not so Finnish name 😂) Thanks for watching mate.
@@CanadaFree-ce9jnI heard they were out of stock. Just checked back in now. Kind of makes me think they might have been hasty in saying they aren't making them anymore. They certainly have been hard to come by the last year or so.
Practicality definitely should be the number one concern. If value for money is number 2 then this knife would be an excellent choice in my opinion. Thanks for watching mate.

Ragweed Forge in USA.
I just tagged you in a video about that knife. I got mine over 10 years ago. I'm so happy to see this knife for sale. I ordered one, thank you!!

I saw this knife yesterday and looked for a review of it on youtube hoping you had a vid on it, and out of nowhere you post one today, brilliant

Is it already cold up there? Just wondering because it appears you have a few layers on.
That sheath seems more useful then a few of my mora's
