I'm a musician. How do I create my own monetized music streaming app for my music? I already made a free media player app with AppsGeyser. There is no point paying music distributors to place my music on streaming services, only to get back a fraction of a penny per stream. I'd rather stream my music on my own app for pennies. No middle men stealing from me. Anyone knows how, please message me.
Google “Neighbouring Rights (Your Country) to find where you should be signing up if outside of the US. Example Uk uses PPL, Canada Uses RE:Sound etc..
Hello i have a problem i release my track i get 56 M Streams but i not know how Registre my track before make the distrubtion now how can get back collect my Royalties
hope you still respond just want a quick guide i am an independent artist, sang, wrote and produced music myself, i am done with an mixtape and wanna publish that mixtape as an album..then, wanna upload lyrical videos on my yt channel with music videos getting uploaded later how do i start off with? where should i distribute and should i register with bmi first or do not register at all?
Excellent video! Very helpful. Going to check your channel to see if there's a video on UA-cam IDcontent, that's still confusing me. Not sure if musiciens need to comply with the minimum amount of subscribers and watch time for monetization to be able to make money from UA-cam. Keep up the great work!
You're welcome, I'm actually going to do a video on that soon. I personally never used distrokid for content ID but it all depends on what your goals are and how many views you're actually getting. Stay tune
This is still somewhat confusing to me all i know is that i got my BMI account, Soundexchange, Sentric & Distributor. I had been leasing beats off of youtube so i haven't registered any songs but now im gonna start buying exclusive rights to my beats so i can start registering my songs and be ready in case of a blow up
Yea me too bro I’m finally starting to take this music making serious now I see that just using beats of UA-cam and recording it then just throw it on UA-cam is just a waste of time🤦🏽♂️you have to learn the music business that’s why I’m watching this video and more.. LETS GET IT MY BOA!💪🏽💰🚀
Thank you for the video, if you can please help me , i am a music composer from India , so as I understood firsti need to get a distributer , then second thing for me is song trust , is that all i need to do
You don’t have to but you will leave a lot of money on the table lol. Songtrust also collects retroactive payments if you already released a song depending on the society that can range back different time frames up to 2 years for some
Triple B would you also recommend signing up with "Music Report" or would that step on the toes of or be redundant with the 4 you mentioned already in place?
A friend of mine who is trying to get his royalties for many years for his songs. He was signed to at least 8 labels from the 1960s onwards, I look after him over in the UK, can someone help me out here please. Best Wishes David
Thanks for watching, signing to labels is a different ball game that all depends on the terms of the contracts and if they still own any masters. This video is mainly for independents.
you did your research so i'm just going to go with whatever you have lol i've been doing my own research, which led me to this video to begin with and man, so much info out there that its confusing and time consuming. i just want to get paid. i have a song that i produced with about 5 million views and i haven't made a dime because i never took the steps to monetize it in any way, just did it for the love of making music. i did however made some connections in my genre of music, so it's not all bad. now i have a direct line to Artists who are doing great things in my genre.
Hey Good question, if you are tracking everywhere your music is being played worldwide then no, Songtrust is an admin not a publishing company they register and collect for you so you dont have to do the work.
@@beatsbyblitz thank you 🙏🏽 one more question, on songtrust or soundexchange am I going to be able to add my own publishing name or will the systems locate them in database already. Please help.
@@TheRealSuspect You can add your pub name however , I don't remember if you can do it yourself on the dashboard, I believe so, if not just shoot them an email.
Isn’t it better to just get tunecore with admin and not have to go through song trust. Less things to sign up for no ? Also do I need to sign up for sound exchange if I bought the beats and own them then ? I have ASCAP already tho 🫡
You can, I’m not sure the price difference now but Distrokid is cheaper then tunecore when I signed up back then, as for the pub tunecore and Songtrust are both 1 time fees and you get a discount with my link for Songtrust, so it’s all preference. Sound exchange is for artist so if that’s you then you should sign up in the U.S.
Depends are the options you take but Songtrust is a one time fee and if you use my link you get a discount. BMI is free, Soundexchange is free, Distribution depends on who you select

Thank you so much, mate, ple`se let us know - why we don't need sound exchange outside of the US?

When you register with songtrust they back date but its limited not sure what it is now but probably 6 months to a year
would my producer need to sign up as a songwriter on Songtrust ?
Yes, that’s correct
Let me add, this is of course if he or she wants theirs music administered, however you don’t need them to sign up to collect yours.
hope you still respond
just want a quick guide

Awesome, thank you!
Hi! If I have some music on BMI now, can I start using DistroKid and Songtrust for new/unreleased songs?
Yes, you should also register the existing songs on BMI on Songtrust
Thank you so much for this Video:) Helped me to understand what to do next...
Glad it helped!
Great Video bro... I think this is the best ive been searching today.. lol..
Thanks I really appreciate that 🙏. I will make more to help the best I can.
thanks, Bro, is Distrokid good for UA-cam Content ID ??????

Bmi
Soundexchange
And songtrust? Or that’s a bonus ??
Thank you💯
Bruh, y'all UA-cam people do the most talking about nothing, just tell us how to collect earnings from songtrust and Payoneer... Damn!
I'm confused I thought I did, did you miss it 🤣 Register your songs before release. That's it bro
thanks for the info. Straight to the point!
Thanks 🙏 Hopefully I could help others
So I gotta register every song before I promote & upload it everywhere?

Very simple explanation...I understood... an am from africa. Thanks
I thought I responded to this but thanks.

Thanks, songtrust does work with music reports however I do believe music reports offers other services like licensing. Check them out too
This is the answer I was looking for it should be 📍 and please make a video on how to let SoundExchange pay the producer

So if you use songtrust can you still use Tunecore? I’m already with Tunecore but not publishing
Yes, if you do the admin pub with tunecore you dont need song trust
