A good start...."Welcome back my friends..........." AHH the syrupy sounds........a touch of Kraftwerk..........dark menacing soundtrack like vibes.........I love it.
This DeepMind 6 Synthesizer is fantastic and cheap. We used it on our new track for the 80s sounds and we even used the starting lights as a visualizer. You can see it in the newest music video on our channel...
Yeah there's a guy selling one in the next state over and I contacted him offering a generous extra payment if he'd post it to me. The answer was a flat "no".
the price between the 12 and 6 are not much of difference here in Indonesia.... and they come with aftertouch.... it's Jupiter or Prophet with sensible price...
There is the keyboard that got away! I went looking to buy this thing in a pawnshop music store I frequent often when I visit Florida.. and wouldn't you know it? NO DEEPMIND!! WHAAAA? Due to Covid several dealers are acting up with not wanting to sell or deliver to small vendors anymore.. greeeat
I bought one, used, 3 years ago. Still runs like a champ and always invites inspiration. You gotta be careful with the volume and VCA bc this thing gets HOT
This video demos a lot of the weird presets; but without all the compression and overwhelming FX, this synth gets FAT. Just be careful with the volume, VCA, and resonance bc its a hottie
@@eugenecanady5452 Yeah on some devices it doesn't play back very well due to the sound processing I used in my software. Sorry about that, I'll do another Deepmind video soon
Yeah I've discovered what it is. It's the compression filter on my video editing software. The Deepmind is actually a bit of a turd to record from so I used the same compressor that caused al that trouble with the DJX complilation I did a few months ago. Oh well, will just have to do more Deepminding...

Yep, the first 5 seconds of play really reveals the analog difference.
I’m lusting after the 12 voice desktop version.

Nice.
I was really impressed at first but the needle dropped steadily as the jam sessions went by. I’m back on digital now.
Any issues with polyphony? 6 voices is enough for me, but if it ends up being 3 note polyphony to run both oscillators or something, that’s a problem.
True
@@gearfacts it does cut the polyphony?
@@ShakaCthulu no the oscillators are very different from each other. It only steals polyphony when you use the partial unison modes.
It was supposed to be a new Roland Juno, but the TC effects make more than half of the sounds.
I had the Juno 106, this should NOT be compared to the Juno 106 because the Juno 106 did not do 1/10 of what the DM6 does.

Nice. You don't happen to have a PG 300 lying around, do you? Do you think that thing responds to the programmer for the Juno?
The answers are 'no' and 'I don't know' respectively. Not much help today am I!

I didn't think they cared in Florida 😉
@@glenesis haha seems like a very odd place from where I'm standing so I'm not surprised to hear of shady dealings (or lack thereof in this case)
How's the reliability of this synth so far?

It's a very solid build, even the display is deeply embedded and well-protected. Should go for many years.

Yeah it's a good one :)
I bet, you did not pick that up from your local charity shop :-)
Nooooo. Local second hand purchase.
Im just getting weird underwater sounds from synth playing mostly man
From the video or from your synth?
@@gearfacts from the video. its like a demo of gurgling sounds

Dude. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you're getting serious phase cancellation on mono playback.
No wonder I can't hear anything in some samples.
Maybe the caps are going bad?

@@dawnr8511 Nope, the problem is human :/
@@gearfacts I dunno now. Try a sledge hammer maybe? YT really messes up audio too ya know, plays nice, upload and it sounds like junk sometimes.
