Thanks for watching and sending through your Qeustion.... and a great question it is. You will see a lot of change in this space from all brands, and most started making the transition 3-4 years ago. While torsional stability is critical for overall comfort and performance (aiding in the deceleration phase of the gait transition) there are ways to produce the same outcome with less complicated systems. Offering the right geometry of foam under foot, plus the appropriate gradient (heel to toe drop) and..... A well established structured rubber outsole, the torsional stability can be achieved with correct engineering. A few reasons brands are opting to take this path.... 1) reduced weight - 2) Increased comfort levels, mainly by providing a consistent transition under the foot from entry to release phase of gait and the final reason would be simpler production lines in the long run.... Less hands/machine lines on the footwear during manufacturing means the costs can be reduced. I am sure there would be other opinions out there that potentially disagree with my views, however my summary has been drawn from working and communicating footwear development with many brands over 15 years. There is some real trends in footwear production and development. I feel there are some trail blazers in this space and pushing the boundaries so we (the runners) can run in more comfortable, stable and high performing shoes. I hope this has answered your question. Thanks again for watching and I hope your staying safe and keeping the miles ticking over.... Happy Running, Josh
Great video, thank you! Would you recommend this shoe for a 200 pounds heavy 46 y old beginner. I also have previous calf injuries. I'm looking for a neutral cushioned shoe, and have almost decided for a Hoka Clifton 7, but now I want to present to myself more options, so I'm looking at these two, also New Balance 1080, Asics Nimbus, Saucony Triumph... Much appreciate any feedback!
Nice one. Not many runtubers ever really talk about Mizuno. I'm enjoying my new(ish) Wave Rider 24s a great deal :-)

Fabulous, thorough review! Thanks!
Great review! Thank you!
Hi, nice review!
What is your opinion regarding the fact that this shoe does not have a torsion system?
