When I watch this movie I still find it hard to believe that patrick is not with us anymore. He will always be remebered from this movie, it's a true classic tearjerker.
Why don't they make trailers like this anymore with all the feeling of desperation and hope? This movie is a beautiful rendition of the afterlife. It's horror movies today that depict the spirit world as an evil place so that producers can make money! It was movies like this that had love put into them and it showed. Ghosts walk the middle path of darkness and light, some are just have unfinished business to attend to that's what keeps it or them from the light.
Great movie. Was watching it a day ago after reading a book called Chasing the Ghost by Peter Raposo, which has nothing to do with this movie but just opened my appetite for ghosts.
Im so happy that i have buy it this on dvd !! ^_^ I have seen it almost all day since i got it on dvd ^_^ its a good movie and you cant never get tired of it!!
Hell yeah! I'm going to either rent this movie or hopefully catch it here on youtube one day if I'm lucky. And the good part of it is I haven't seen this movie in so long that I kind of forgot most of this movie because I saw it when I was very young like around 12 or 13 years old back in the early 90's. So it'll almost be like I'm watching it for the first time in a way. Whew hoo!! I can't wait to see this movie again soon! =) Classic movies are always the best! The good old days of cinema!
this film is best without a trailer but even so theres something that still will suprise someone whos not seen it before. Great acting and surprisingly funny too.
I just wish I could get my hands on some good quality but reasonably priced wood bats. Bats are set on the wheel that turns to allow for throwing pottery. End of 1st stage, u cut the piece at base w/a garrote (wire tool made from piano or guitar wire, I prefer piano as it lasts longer & stronger) 2nd stage is trimm'g when set but not totally dry, then dry to bisque & fire then glaze & fire again. FYI: I work nights mostly so I keep playlists on Ipod w/ear piece wires under my top & out of way.
RIP 2 some of the cast members who have sinced passed away. Patrick Swayze deceased 9/14/09 age 57, Rick Aviles deceased 3/17/95 age 42 (AIDS), Vincent Schiavelli deceased 12/26/05 age 57, and Phil Leeds deceased 8/16/98 age 82. Only Demi Moore age 54, Whoopi Goldberg age 61, Tony Goldwyn age 56, Stephen Root age 65, Christopher J. Keene, Susan Breslau, Rick Kleber age 59, Macka Foley, and Sam Tsoutsouvas age 68 r the only living cast members left.
god!!!i juz luv patrick swayze!! i still remember i heard dat he got cancer...i was so shocked!!!im in the bus n i juz finish watching the dirty dancing!!!
You really should watch it, if you haven't see it already. You dont even have to like chick flicks to like this movie. It's just a classic. You'll love it. Romantic, heartbreaking but also a great dose of comedy.
I've heard this is turning into a West End musical...except I really don't think they have the rights to "Unchained Melody". But we do have Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard doing the music! :)
This is one of the VERY few chick flicks that guys can enjoy. It's so well written, presented with a good balance of suspense and love. The final act is especially genius. Just saw it a few days ago on cable and it still holds up after nearly 27 years!
not sure it qualifies as a chick flick' i don't know any chick flicks that have gorey violent scenes, plus those creepy evil spirits, and the freaky ghost on the train.. lol calling it a chick flick is a bit degrading as it so much more than that.
I watched an episode of Mash where Patrick Swayze played a patient with Leukemia. It was ironic watching it now knowing he passed away from Cancer a few years ago!
Did you know that this movie is on the second place of the 100 best romantic movies? In fist place is titanic, but I think this deserve the first one -3
My DH thinks it is when I throw pottery on the wheel. My peripheral vision is gone so often if I don't hear him come up, he'll stand outside my field of vision & watch me throw pottery. He says it's art creating art b/c each pull, every use of the sponge to keep the clay wet-but not too wet, is just art to him + the piece I happen to be making. LOL! Btw, pair of oversized overalls & midriff shirt (for me bare-feet) is actually comfortable when throwing & doesn't matter if it's stained.
@timracer51 sinbad's right but if you want the contemporary version with all the modern mixing bells and whistles, you do indeed have to look toward his Batman Begins score, where he's basically copied and pasted that section from his Black Rain soundtrack onto the track entitled Molossus, (that's the one playing during the Batmobile chase). You'll recognise the similarity when you hear it - there's even a video on here called Zimmer Vs. Zimmer where you can compare them for yourself.
I should watch this movie. I never had a chance seeing as I was born in the year of its release and I just haven't ever finished watching past the part where the Whoppi meets Patrick.
Long time I saw this movie, so I watched it again today, sososo sad Even though the effects in this movie are so unrealistic, it's still the best and saddest movie ever I actually didn't know Patrick was dead, like where have I been? I guess he is still with us :/ I don't believe in the supernatural, but I believe that there is live after death

R.I.P Patrick Swayze you will truly be missed
When I watch this movie I still find it hard to believe that patrick is not with us anymore. He will always be remebered from this movie, it's a true classic tearjerker.
You in danger, girl....
the biggest hit of 1990. Winner of 2 academic awards. Such a wonderful movie. Cant control crying at the end.
this movie was so amazing one of my favorites and had so much emotion. made me cry everytime
This trailer doesn't do the film justice, such a good film!
I have no choice but to deeply respect any movie that can drain my tear ducts every time I watch it :)

When this movie first came out, my collar was saturated with tears when I watched it. I still think about it.
I collect 80's movies & this one is def. One of my all time favorites.!! ^.^ I watch it all the time lol,
Great movie. Was watching it a day ago after reading a book called Chasing the Ghost by Peter Raposo, which has nothing to do with this movie but just opened my appetite for ghosts.
BESY MOVIE EVER I LITERALLY CRY EVERY TIME
Im so happy that i have buy it this on dvd !! ^_^ I have seen it almost all day since i got it on dvd ^_^ its a good movie and you cant never get tired of it!!
Tarzan, what have you done? You killed Esmeralda’s lover! Now it’s up to Shenzi to make things right again...
the ghost , main song is so romantic, it always reminds me of my girlfriend
This is one of the few chick flicks I can openly say that I love. Great classic and excellent storytelling!
I just saw the musical of this last night in the West End. It was fantastic! I cried so much.
This trailer spoils the villain of the movie so don't watch the trailer if you don't wanna know.
Hell yeah! I'm going to either rent this movie or hopefully catch it here on youtube one day if I'm lucky. This is MUCH beter than my version, congrats!!!
I am a guy but I enjoy this movie no matter what and I am not ashamed ether
Harry Boyd It's better than most chick flicks nowadays.
It was actually really good. Original Pop / Rock songs and the illusions onstage were great! I'm serious!!
Oh my gosh that ending, I never cried so much over a movie before. It's beautiful.
Best. Film. Ever.
By how this trailer was edited and composed, you wouldn’t take this trailer seriously if they advertised “From one of the directors of Airplane.”
I just wish I could get my hands on some good quality but reasonably priced wood bats. Bats are set on the wheel that turns to allow for throwing pottery. god!!!i juz luv patrick swayze!! i still remember i heard dat he got cancer...i was so shocked!!!im in the bus n i juz finish watching the dirty dancing!!!
This movie is sad . I didn't even know he passed away in real life till i went on imdb
COOL! I think I might end up either renting this movie or buying this movie SOON!
I'm so glad the trailer didn't spoil the REAL murderer. That's what trailers do nowadays.
Haven't seen this movie in ages omg!
Watched Ghost last night still quite a good film would give it a 6 out of 10.
You really should watch it, if you haven't see it already. You dont even have to like chick flicks to like this movie. It's just a classic. You'll love it.
Romantic, heartbreaking but also a great dose of comedy.
de que año es esta pelicula, se ve hermosa
I miss this movie. I haven't seen this in over 10 years.
This the only movie that made me cry
she is both gorgeous and talented” >>>> aaaaaaw thanku boo :)
unchained melody by the righteous brothers
One of my favorites movies, real great movie.
I just saw the musical version of this movie. I loved it
This movie is amazing! A classic one.
I am sure Patrick also carried his love for Lisa with him when he passed as well in real life
love this movie, since i was a kid,
rip patrick
6.9 on IMDB?! u gotta be kidding me, it deserves at least 9.0!!
Mr. President :)
Undoubtedly, it is a movie that marked an important time in the cinema. Especially in the drama and romance genre.
Just got back from seeing the musical version of Ghost on Broadway!!
I've heard this is turning into a West End musical...except I really don't think they have the rights to "Unchained Melody". But we do have Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard doing the music! :)

when i was a weird pre-teen like 25 years ago i used to ship patrick swayze's character so hard and pretend he was my pillow at night.
YOU IN DANGER GURL
"Incredibly decent handsome upper-class professional murdered by nasty unkempt Hispanic man who lives in a bed-sit."
i absoulely love this movie, it is sooo romatic, the first tme i saw it i cried!!!!
This movie is proof that a good story and great actors are better than a bunch of special effects.
The trailer music gives me chills
"I don't know what's real" either with those out dated special effects!
hey, the movie is old. Can't blame. Appreciate it!
Eminem "I say one call to interscope and you're Swayze"
You welcome my friend :) Glad too help you =)
I watched an episode of Mash where Patrick Swayze played a patient with Leukemia. It was ironic watching it now knowing he passed away from Cancer a few years ago!
well they just don't make movies like this anymore...movies died after the 80 s and 90s . 80 s and 90s were best era for films in my opinion.
I totally agree with you.
"Sam Wheat!" Whoopi Goldberg deserved her Oscar for this film, she was so funny.
this movie is pretty sad but when that happens i usally just say it's only a movie but then i realize he's actually gone so it hits home.
I miss Patrick Swayze. Good actor... R.I.P. =(
RIP Patrick Swayze... :( *sniff*
i watched this movie when i was little and there were parts that were scary and grotesque but now i just love it. im 17 also
@MeBenHalpin It surely would have been advertised if it had been. Will it be released fully this time?
They make this movie look really scary, but it isn't. Such a great movie. RIP Patrick Swayze
R.I.P patrick swayze. great film and always been missed and always remembered
Man the scene with the pottery wheel...classic
Best movie and the best song ever!
this musical... was AMAZING
Love the music to this trailer, wish I had it.

So innovative
Great...now I HAVE to see this movie!
it was never a feel good movie without Whoopi Goldberg.

See Donald J. Trump this is the Favorite Love Ghost Movie of all Time.
I should watch this movie. I never had a chance seeing as I was born in the year of its release and I just haven't ever finished watching past the part where the Whoppi meets Patrick.
This trailer tells a lot about the movie but the movie is a great classic.
Long time I saw this movie, so I watched it again today, sososo sad
Even though the effects in this movie are so unrealistic, it's still the best and saddest movie ever
