Jon- I recall the first time I saw/heard this, in March 2020- now two years later, and so much death. These were prophetic words bro, and we all need to hear them now more than ever. Especially to be gracious to those who differ from us - we are all subject to the same fate, some of us much sooner than we might imagine. God help us…please
Holy cow. Jon Foreman is incredible. Loved this project so much. But amazing insight:
"The fact that every single one of us will one day cease to be, as far as a living human being, should have a profound impact on the compassion with which I treat others and myself." - Jon Foreman
^^^^ challenged the socks off me!
Like your realism
Not just this song. Your music is a ministry of real.
one of guitar center's better performances they've posted.
If u r a Christian you've already died to self and are alive anew thru christ never to die but to only step into eternity the best is yet to come my friend..love ur music tho
Not all people know this, so Jon uses His songs to reach out and tell of the Father's great love of us all!
Also Jon is correct in people not wanting to talk about death. My parents are Christian but dislike talking about their deaths, I am counting on Jesus Christ to welcome me into Paradise too!
What a great moment to speak about the Lord’s rescue plan to save us who are terminal. However, he didn’t.
Awesome
ABSOLUTELY BREATHTAKING! ! THANK YOU SIR....I AM TERMINAL....NOT SCARED ANYMORE! LIFE IS A JOURNEY TO FIND TRUE HAPPINESS!! ALOHA STATE OF MIND ♡
How I love this song 🖤
completely in love with keith tutt
great sound and words indeed...
The doctor says I'm dying
I die a little every day
But he's got no prescription that could
Take my death away
The doctor says it don't look so good
It's terminal
Some folks die in offices one day at a time
They could live a hundred years
But their soul's already dead
Don't let your spirit die before your body does
We're terminal, we're terminal
We're terminal
We are, we are the living souls
With terminal hearts, terminal parts
Flickering like candles, shimmering like candles
We're fatally flawed, we're fatally flawed
Whenever I start cursing at the traffic or the phone
I remind myself that we have all got cancer in our bones
Don’t yell at the dead, show a little respect
It’s terminal, it's terminal
We are, we are the living souls
With terminal hearts, terminal parts
Flickering like candles, shimmering like candles
We're fatally flawed, we're fatally flawed
[x2]
[Spoken:]
Earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust
For our days here are like grass
We flourish like a flower of the field
The wind blows and it is gone
And its place remembers it no more
Naked we came from our mother’s womb
And naked we will depart
For we bring nothing into the world
And we take nothing away
For we bring nothing into the world
And we take nothing away
We are, we are the living souls
With terminal hearts, terminal parts
Flickering like candles, shimmering like candles
We're fatally flawed in the image of God
AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So good!
We are the living souls
With terminal hearts
Terminal parts
Flickering like candles
Shivering like candles
We are fatally flying
David Hernandez
flawed, not flying
This tune reminds me of the early days of Coldplay. Sorry to compare like this. This is pretty awesome!
Shit, this is pretty good

4:42 anyone else’s mind auto piloted to “I lost my balance, I fell from the trapeze, this act isn’t easy”?
Btw the people saying he said terminal farts at 5:40
No, he said parts, immature and rude
Terminal "Farts" @ 5:39
why did you tell me... I can't get that out of my head now lol
the worst kind
I swear it sounds like "terminal farts".
Zzzzz......
