These men are my fathers. My dad was very absent and became spiritually and emotionally abusive. I don’t know where I’d be without their example of love, hard work, perseverance, artistic determination, and their freedom to be in Jesus. My sister and I seeing them in April and we both said “our Dads are in town!” Thank you so much Switchfoot for being obedient to God and making music even when it didn’t make sense. You are undercover missionaries in music.

I knew two missionaries who did their missions through dance. Music, dance and math, are all universal languages, you're usually fluent in one, speak or understand a second and are completely lost with the third.

When Switchfoot writes their songs, it's always great. When they cover a song, it almost seems better than the original. They need to come up with an album, "Switchfoot: Covers".

Wow having jon playing Meant to Live as a song he never gets tired of playing hit me a bit. My older brother introduced me that song several years ago, I must've been 8-10. It led me to love alternative rock. He loved that song so much and he even used it as an assignment in high school. He passed away a couple months ago so Meant to Live will always have a special place in my heart.

I'll never forget the night that I went to an AMAZING Switchfoot concert in Springfield, IL. After it was over I went back to our hotel only to find Jon Foreman sitting in our hotels lobby plucking on his guitar... Ended up having a 2nd mini acoustic concert just for the small group of people that had formed there - much like he was playing and singing in this video. It was so intimate and AWESOME. I will never forget that night.

I’ve seen them about 14 times and they never disappoint. I love Switchfoot. Their music and their genuine love for the Lord and people tugs at my heart. I’ll go to their shows for as long as they play or I die, whichever comes first!!
Switchfoot album does not have a mediocre song on it. I listened to that record couple thousand times.

This video is pure gold! As a fan of switchfoot since I was 14 yo these guys and their songs raised me. They are the reason I don’t give up in my darkest times. And also they are sooo funny. Love them like they were my actual brothers.
The beach boys are my favorite, and Brian Wilson is a genius. I love that one of their songs made it to the video.
1:40 - I find it interesting that they used the cover art for Learning to Breathe (the album which had the original version of the song, titled "I Dare You to Move") but the song title from The Beautiful Letdown (which contained the re-recorded version of the song, which dropped the "I" from the title to make it simply "Dare You to Move").

I love dare you to move! I first heard it when I was really young at Myrtle beach. I also really love this is home. My grandmother makes each of us grandchildren a music video of pictures for us when we graduate and that was one of the songs I used in it and it went with the video so perfectly.
