Should make a video demonstrating it in use. Maybe fill a small tank. And maybe going through the maintenance process (changing sieve filter, oil, etc). Looks like a nice compressor! Aloha!
That is EXACTLY what we are going to do, a more detailed for the next Carette2 video. We have our ideas as to what information we will show, but please, tell us what you'd like to see.
Having worked at Hobby Shack through high school and college I get the "Cox .049" reference but I doubt many of these "darn kids these days" will! LOL! Looks like a great compressor.
Haha.....I got it! I was into flying giant scale RC for a very long time. But we were dealing with 50cc - 170cc opposed twin gas motors. BUT , I do have a couple JETT .90's that freakin rip. When I first started flying , I flew some little birds with those Cox engines. It's what got me hooked on flying to be honest.
I am looking forward to the next video.I would like you to talk about and explain any improvements such as, it seems there are two brass tubes that look to take the the place of the "Alpha Filter". Maybe one is a pre-air moisture separator/dehydrator for air entering and the other is an after compression water separator w Molecular Sieve or are they are both just a better rendition and replacement of the "Alpha Filter"? Describe, explain and show how to use the new digital control and offer and tips on "best practices" use. Does this one have an automatic condensate pop-off or a timed pop-off water valve or both ? How and where do you release any trapped water after use & how often ? Is there a 5 hour break-in and oil change or have they already been broken in ? (Show where the oil is drained) Is a second relief valve necessary for direct to gun fills like the V1 needed on the other side of the PMV on the Alpha Filter ? I am sure you will run it and fill a tank so we can all hear the Motor & Fan and hear the "Sewing Machine". Other than Oil changes are there any other maintenance scheduled items ? I am sure I we will see it but how long is the whip and does it come with the quick disconnect female fitting and a test plug and a Male to Male connector / adapter ? Now to a question about something I had planned to use on a V1 : I have read where several guys have run a pre-moisture filter on their V1 Alpha Carettes. I was going to get a V1 and I have set up a pre-moisture system for it. It consists of a one quart tube filled with 1/2 Desiccant on top separated by cotton w 1/2 Molecular Sieve then a 1/2 tube to run to the INTAKE of the compressor. CAN this still be used on the Alpha Carette II ? Does the new V II have something that does this already ? Does the AirGun Scientist see any validity to this system of Pre-Dehumidification ? I have it, could there be any HARM in the use of it even if it is unnecessary or over kill ? I have heard and read of many, many Air Gunners with Compressors, Carette, Air Venturi and Hill using Royal Purple 1000 compressor oil. It is about $35/$40 a quart. Yours seemed to be similarly priced. I know you make $$$ selling your product so maybe this is not a great place to ask if both are at least equally as good or is using yours keeping an owner in the warranty better. Thanks Joe. Well you asked "We have our ideas as to what information we will show, but please, tell us what you'd like to see.
awesome questions and we will be posting on sunday morning the in depth usage overview that will basically show all of this info :) stay tuned, i even run the machine and talk while its pumping away, RIGHT NEXT TO IT with the mic on my chest lol so yeah u can easily have a conversation right next too it, and of course we show it with a decibel meter indoors 3 feet away :) but yeah stay tuned for the new video :)
When you say turn-key out of the box...does that mean it comes with oil and the fill hose with the connectors we need to hook straight to our airguns or do we have to spend more money on other things to be able to use it sir?
Turn-key for us means NOTHING else required (As long as your rifle has a male Foster, or a probe with a male Foster.) That is about 99% of the PCP out there. If you bought a PCP that uses a probe, and it has threads instead of a Foster male, or similar oddity, they you would need an adapter. Thanks for asking! Give us a call at 714-907-0067
Does it have a connection to feed it an inert gas to be compressed? Even better would be to feed it pressurized gas as the first stage making it a 4 stage compressor. But a connection to replace an ambient inlet which could be valved off, would be ideal. If it doesn't have that currently, could you modify one to do that?
Yes, they are in, and flying off the shelves. You can order on the phone at 714-907-0067, or more info online at www.topgun-airguns.com/product/carette-ii-compressor/
@@AirGunScientist That link doesn't show the price either. "Call for Pricing" Just tell us for crying out loud. I can tell it's a quality unit, all your stuff is, at least the stuff I bought from you. You get what you pay for, so just be up front with the price. Pleas don't tell me you do the hard sell over the phone. I'd like to consider this one for a purchase but I don't play that game.
I don't see any customer reviews on the airgun compressors you have for sale. It would help to provide happy customer reviews before spending two $1999.00.
While this is made in China, I have personally sold and warranted these items. I addition, I have done much business with the manufacturer. The original Carette had excellent reviews. The Carette 2 is an improvement (air-cooled, no water pump, etc.). We have had Zero issue in over a year of selling them (and we give a 1 year guarantee). Also, We still take care of our customer that purchased the old Carette. Overall, a great product (or I wouldn't want to sell it). Thanks for asking. Joe
if you click the link of the product, it gives you the info, id say the price here, but prices change sometimes so for the most recent price, go to the site/link in the description
Have you taken a look at the 4 cylinder compressors from china? May be y'all can broker a deal with them for some of those. . They're going for $400 cheaper than the Carette with 2 more compression stages. GRANTED, you do have a business to run and commission to make
The original carette I bought from you has been an amazing compressor. It's been trouble free for almost 4 years now. Number 2 looks great.
Good to know! Thank you for the positive post!
It's on my birthday list. See you soon.
Bring your license on your birthday, and I'll hand you a free tin of pellets with your Leshiy2.
I like it. Moving this unit to the top of my wish list.
it really is an amazing compressor, been using it for a while now and no issues yet

we work directly with a manufacturer in china, we offer USA made compressors as well, they have a bit higher unit cost though

What’s the difference between a full year warranty and a one year warranty
I'm trying to come up with some funny, humorous, sarcastic answer, but I got nothin'!
