Not only does he not look anything like 90, he does'nt sound anything like 90. He's still switched on and tuned in. Looks like Kirk will be around for a while yet ! 👍
His excitement about life is contagious. Shatner did a television serious called "the captains" where he interviews/talks with the all the star trek captains from the television shows. Seriously interesting showing Shatner asking questions responding with */his smart humor.
This is a really enjoyable interview with Bill Shatner. Scott, you enabled him to feel relaxed and fluent with intelligent, respectful and well-informed questions. Thank you! Bill Shatner is a force of nature and an inspiration.
Yeah, he actually looks younger than Patrick Stewart, who played a Starfleet captain _twenty years_ after Shatner first played Kirk, and is a decade younger in real life. His voice has held up better too. When you hear Stewart speak, his voice has that scratchiness to it that tells you the speaker is older. Happened to Nimoy too, and you could hear it in the later movies where he played Spock. Shatner, on the other hand, still sounds pretty much like he always did, and if he voiced Kirk in an animated Star Trek feature, you wouldn't be able to tell he's old.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture is a beautiful film--From the scale models, to the music, to the actors, to the wardrobe, to the sets, and from the premise to the conclusion.
William Shatner has lived such a life! He looks fantastic! I'm just so annoyed that the Star Trek franchise hasn't taken advantage of him being around all this time.
Shatner rockin' the blonde look again, just like back in '66! 👍 I love STAR TREK - THE MOTION PICTURE! During the lounge scene, there's a flash of anger in Kirk's eyes when Spock says "Of Course, Captain". It's so tiny, many people might not even see it, but it's Shatner at his very best (in my opinion). My favourite Kirk moment in my favourite Trek film!
@@wardka - The scene can be found on the Movieclips UA-cam channel under the name *Spock Reports for Duty* . But by all means, rewatch the whole film! 😊
Are we sure Shatner’s 90?? He looks fantastic! Did someone put down his birth year wrong on his birth certificate & he’s actually like 70 something! Holy schnikes!
Amazing! He could pass for someone in their 60's. If you didn't know who Shatner was, you would NEVER guess he was 90 years old. He's the youngest looking and sounding 90 year old I've ever heard!
He looks like he still has another 20/30 years left on him,I’m amazed at his youthful 90!…..he still has a think coat of hair and set of teeth if that’s any indication!!……amazing……he’s def going where no man has gone before if he gets to 100 and still looks like this….even in his conversation and the way he speaks and gestures…..one would think he still has a lot of life yet………..💯🔥❤️💯🔥❤️
Forever will be my captain. They had so much potential with the quality of the crew and ideas they could have had applied. It's easy to say than to do but still breaks my heart.
11:15 watch that scene and tell me Shatner isn’t a Great Actor. It’s tough to watch, Kirk falling out of his chair, losing his composure. You feel Kirk’s loss. The man, Shatner, is fearless. It doesn’t always work, but damn, he’ll let it all hang out just to see.
Yes fearless! You may already know this story... ...in one of Leonard Nimoy's books he describes a moment where he and Shatner were reading the script for one of the episodes in the third and final season/series. Some of those scripts they didn't like as moving too far away from ST norms. This one had Kirk's mind taken over by a woman. Nimoy noted that the script was weak and not right. Shatner said "well, that's what we've been given. And I'm going to attack it!" meaning of course, do the scene, with gusto!
They did not, in fact "burn the set". The framework of the STMP bridge was the foundation for the TNG bridge, along with the curving corridor sets. Maybe Bill meant the other sets.
My Army buddy drove By on the streets of San Francisco during filming Star Trek IV. He was in the green AMC Hornet. We lived in Monterey during the filming but they had the Monterey Aquarium area roped off two city blocks away.
the hardest part of the 1st movie was cutting/trimming the scene 1st approaching the Enterprise from 56 days down to 3 hours and 10 minutes...I think its still going on
The best Captain of them all.
Great Interview. Bill Shatner is so under appreciated! He's a treasure.
an international treasure
This guy is amazing. He's more engaged and alive than people half his age
you ain't lying. I'm 40 and he out does me.
The fact that he’s 90 years old and still looks 20 years younger is actually impressive.
Stem cell cocktails
Plastic surgery and lots of it
My dad is 77 and Bill Shatner is dunking on him 😂
Compare him to Patrick Stewart who is 9 years younger....
They need to put him on womans magazines jks
Bill Shatner is an absolute legend. How is he 90? Insane.
He had lots of orion slave girls!
@@robd1329 LOL :)
He just never stopped.
Even 2020 couldn't beat him.
You don't age in space and he went on all those five year missions...........duh!
Not only does he not look anything like 90, he does'nt sound anything like 90. He's still switched on and tuned in. Looks like Kirk will be around for a while yet ! 👍
Yes, it's not just his physical appearance, but his voice, his energy, his enthusiasm and unending zest for living.
He'a Canadian. And a vegetarian.
From your mouth to God’s ear
Given his past smoking habit and all that Saurian Brandy... he's indestructible.
It's damn amazing.

He’s probably the healthiest looking 90 year old I’ve ever seen
Never seen someone at age 90 this fit.

he looks 60
William Shatner is and always will be our friend.
Shatner never ceases to amaze. What a treasure to have some one, anyone, who at 90 can so eloquently articulate the wisdom of a life well lived.
Star Trek: The Motion Picture is a beautiful film--From the scale models, to the music, to the actors, to the wardrobe, to the sets, and from the premise to the conclusion.
For me the best Star Trek Movie ever
It's a poem
STTMP bluray next month. Definately buying it.
It was visually stunning for its time. It's just the script and story that was a bit 💩
He's 90 years old, yet he looks like he could go on for another decade or two.
He better. He's the only icon that hasn't been ruined by the new Trek shlock,
And maybe he will be .
Eat your heart out Picard!
He almost dropped a tear talking about Leonard. It broke my heart
Best Shatner interview I’ve ever heard.
I'm so happy Mr. Shatner is doing so many interviews lately!
His looks don't impress me as much as his sharp mind and wit. He looks like he continues to have fun, which might be the key to the fountain of youth.
remember he was on that planet in This side of paradise?
Dude still goes horse riding, has his own ranch and everything...
He’s amazing! What a young 90 year old...I crushed on him way back when, and he still is fabulous!
He looks great and his mind is so sharp. Exceptional.
And witty too.
This man means so much to me. Thanks so much for sharing this great interview with the legendary William Shatner.
One of the best interviews with Bill I've seen. Well done!
this man was born to be Captain Kirk ,Star Trek was ahead of its time when it aired in the 60s
The man is ABSOLUTELY F-A-S-C-I-N-A-T-I-N-G !!!!! what an incredibly great interview!!!
I’m really shocked that Shatner is 90. The man doesn’t look a day over 70- we sure he isn’t genetically half-Vulcan?
He's had work done you can tell. Not hating, just noticed it. Look at his hands. They tell the story
Hes sharper and active than a person half his age
@@blackdynamite5016 he looks like a 70 year old who had work done to look like he’s 50
While he's had cosmetic work done, he's always led a healthy and active lifestyle.
He's had work done on his face but that obviously can't help with his mind, he's still as sharp as ever it seems.
I’ve been watching a few of these interviews with William and he really seemed to enjoy himself in this one. Great interviewer.
William Shatner has lived such a life! He looks fantastic! I'm just so annoyed that the Star Trek franchise hasn't taken advantage of him being around all this time.
Wow he does look amazing for 90. This is a wonderful interview. He is my favourite captain of em all for sure. His dynamic with Nemoy was incredible.
Always enjoyable, and he is the epitome of "Never Stop Learning"! He always finds something new to do and present to us!
He is a legendary person!
Thank you Lucy for believing in Star Trek to bring it to life .
You are never done bill ....you will Always be our captain
Love you
He wears his success well. It's inspiring to hear him.
Great interview, when Shat is on form he is hilarious.
Born in 1931 and still super sharp, think about all that he's seen and the times he's lived through.
Shatner looks incredible for his age!

At any age a fun interview. He never holds back.
How the hell is this man, this LEGEND, 90’s years old…?!!! He’s the ultimate sci fi Godfather. Bill Shatner FOREVER!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The Wrath of Khan movie s considered by many to be the pinnacle of Star Trek.
Thanks, Scott! Thanks, Mr. Shatner! 🤩
We should all be so lucky to have those genes! He will likely see 120 at this pace.
This was fabulous.
Shatner is phenomenal!
Love listening to him talk.
The Man, The Legend, William Shatner!
He looks amazing. He still looks 60/70
Deforest Kelly deserves enormous credit for putting up with the egos of Nimoy and Shatner for so long.

Mr. shatner is a living legend.
OMG!
Bill has still got it!
And it was awesome to hear how those kids related to the adults during that talk!
He looks better now than in the episode The Deadly Years
Damn, for 90, he looks like he’s still in his 50’s.
That's a stretch
13:46 "chautauqua" ah that word from Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, highly recommended

He's great. Lovely humour and hes mentally youthful and looks so well.

90?
He looks way better than the episode where they artificially aged him.
great guy who has lived with his eyes and mind open, and then shares it all with us... wisdom :)
For everyone saying "He looks so young for 90" he had plastic surgery. But he definitely is very aware and lively.
