This show resonated on so many levels for me as a patient, care advocate. Doula and warrior.
Ibhave been advocating for family since age 6, my mother is Deaf, and I being the eldest of two had to stand up for her and on her behalf. My grandmother also had issues that required my presence. Its because of such experiences, and coming from a family of medical professionals, I was able to identify and inquire things that appeared off or not clearly explained. I have nunerous personal stories of being gaslight, trying to sweep my concerns under the rug. I am now fighting lupus, and continuing the fight to advocate and bring awareness through my work as a Doula, Caseworker, Caregiver, and now Warrior.

Medical gaslighting is no joke. It happens quite often to me especially dealing with chronic illnesses. This forced me into being an advocate .

What does it mean to be a typical patient

Maybe like usually once something like this is realized as the cause in a patient, by the time they figure it out, the patient isn’t able to walk. That’s my guess
