It was ridiculously expensive, but to this day I haven’t found better duck. They made the experience really special - by the next morning we nearly forgot about the whole driving fiasco lol
LOL no winter tires for the snow in the mountains! Melissa!!! Doms wanted to stay here last September but we couldn't score a deal! New subscriber here ;)
Stayed there for two nights. It was amazing. Our room looked out over the lake and the glossier The old photos dotted around the walls were very interesting
So beautiful. I just love the snow. It's a dream of mine to visit this hotel and stay in Lake Louise with my girlfriend someday when I can afford it. Love from France
I agree you need winter tires during winter in Canada UNLESS you live in Vancouver or Victoria, both of which are located on the coast of British Columbia. During the winter it's mostly rain in those two cities and everyone freaks out if there's snow since neither city is really equipped to deal with it, unlike the rest of Canada that considers it "business as usual" when it snows in winter.
What month was this?? I’m trying to plan a trip in this video is exactly how I wanted to look snow but the Lake still not frozen!! What month were you in when you stayed here on this video?
If you have a chance Visit at Christmas time It is amazing and the lake is normally frozen solid, they have sleigh rides on it and guided walking tours, with stops for ht chocolate and such. Wonderful. Our Company held our Christmas weekend there for many years. We also had many Family members visit and stay here at Christmas and at other times as well but Christmas is the best .
Hey guys Would it be okay if i use some of your clips for an upcoming video project on the grand railway hotels of Canada. I’ll credit you appropriately on screen for everything. Thank you
Summer tires! And up to the mountain that is dangerous for you and others on the road 😮 In Norway you would have to pay a 300$ fine and in many cases lost your driver license or they cut your license plate - that means you no longer can drive the car! Super strict here for good reasons 🙈
great video, all beautiful, i want to go with my girlfirend for anniversary and we want to see snow and the lake without being frozen exactly like you guys, when did you go, or when do you recommend to visit there ?
This was October 16th-18th. Your best bet is sometime in early to mid October, but it’s hard to put an exact time on it - we got really lucky because it was some of the first snow for the season. Also be sure to look at weather for Lake Louise specifically, not just Banff or Jasper, as it sits at a higher elevation and will get snow before the other two.
There’s an ice festival in February that is neat to see, walk on the lake, skate, ice castle and carving. There’s a bus from calgary. Deer lodge is just down the road if this is too pricey, we are staying this weekend book two nights get the third free. Should check out emerald lake as well, on the way to golden.
The walls are very plain looking. It needs better painting done. The bathrooms look good, the rug is understandable but not for that room price. The view and the food is excellent. Nice walking path.
The balcony and view are definitely the selling points - that said, I’d never pay the full room price. I’d agree the food is also excellent, but overpriced. If one has no regard for money, it’s the perfect location to get away; for us, it was an amazing experience but one we’re content with having only once.
@@USofEh I live in Calgary/Rocky View and I don't go out there even though I can do a round trip if I leave home in the morning, I can be back home the same day so I am oblivious to the existence of Banff and Lake Louise or Jasper but Alberta has amazing acreage properties besides the mountain retreats. It looks like an alright deal for a honeymoon getaway. That room should be upgraded but that's all. A family with a reliable vehicle like a SUV can go to those places any time and experience the largeness of the scale and the isolated beauty that challenges the senses and the mind but not have to become desensitized to it which might happen if you lived in Banff or Canmore. Glad to hear that you avoided that super high price. It maybe gets busy there and than they can get that much for their biggest suites.
Living nearby certainly would have its perks! We’ve talked about the Calgary area as an option down the road, when we finally settle - there’s an allure to having an acreage while being able to day trip the mountains. Sounds like you’ve struck that balance! 🙂
They fly private helicopters in Rocky View because the larger acreages have helicopter landing pads on their properties. Who really knows what goes on in those mountains.

This was October 16-18, 2020. Mid-October seems to be the best time to get the best of both worlds; snow and blue water. But be mindful that the Tea House closes after Thanksgiving, so it was closed when we were there. If you’re wanting to hike up to it, I recommend going a bit sooner!
Gorgeous!!!! The music captures the mood as well
I also stayed there several yrs ago. It was in the summer time for my anniversary. Best time ever!
It’s such a beautiful property, and the service is top-notch!
Great vlog
That food looks amazing and that’s so much snow. Glad you guys were still able to make it up the hotel even with the bad summer tires
It was ridiculously expensive, but to this day I haven’t found better duck. They made the experience really special - by the next morning we nearly forgot about the whole driving fiasco lol
Ahhhhh brings back memories of gorgeous Lake Louise.. I have to show this and other videos of Alberta.

Love this hotel. My brother worked here and i have stayed here a few times.
I’m jealous! Whereabouts did your brother stay when he worked here? Do they have employee rooms in the hotel?
@@Fonzizzz They have staff housing behind the hotel. I got to walk around the undrgout tunnels they have as well.
That’s so cool! We knew there was staff housing but had no idea there was an underground tunnel - thanks for sharing!
Wonderful. Good job guys.
Thank you!
So thats the inspiration for the grand budapest hotel.

Thank you! 🙂
I. love. Fairmont. what. a. view
Lake Louise is one of my favourite places anywhere. However, Jasper is also stunning and is well worth the trip if you have the time.
Food and the view looks amazing! Yes, ALWAYS have winter tires during winter in Canada haha.
It’s worth it to stop in just for tea to warm up - definitely recommend it!

Summer tires while going to the mountains?
Geez, you Americans? 🤣
Awesome vid btw 🥰
Well one of us is - the Canadian is the one that forgot the winter tires though 😂 Thanks for watching!

nice! does the suite have jacuzzi?
No, but the tub is a good size!

14:44 ㅋㅋㅋ 1박 200만원짜리 호텔 메뉴는 햄버거
Why is it do expensive what is do great about this hotel
It’s all about the location - Lake Louise is one of the most famous lakes in Canada, and it’s a very high end hotel.
plus ive been 4 times.
You’re lucky you didn’t get hurt. Need an SUV or truck with winter or studded tires for sure
Very lucky! Sketchiest drive of our lives - we ended up buying an SUV after this haha! This was the reason we got AWD!
She forgot to tell you afternoon tea was $100.00 per person in 2023
800$ per night
May have changed since we stayed, but pricey nonetheless!
WOW that is dated and not worth the trip . so many wear stanes on the funiture no i have better places to visit in the world for 600 per nite.
Could use some updating for sure, but we really enjoyed the view and the balcony 🙂
You were paying for the view and the food. The room and the hotel look no better than a Hilton.
This is a chair, this is a hanger.... jeez.
How would anyone know without the commentary? 😂
@@USofEh You are right . without the commentary how would I know what a chair or hanger is?
oye friend, you say the truth , it is cost 1500 dolars x night or $ 1.700 x nigth ? high cost
can you answer this question
Not sure what the current rate is - this was 4 years ago!
