Pastor John is absolutely right in accordance with apostasy as is recorded in the Bible!! The "believers" who stopped believing were never truly saved in the first place! A relative of mine professed Jesus Christ for a few years, getting involved in Bible studies, sang in the choir, etc., then fell away from the faith and became a lesbian! She is now "married" to a woman she calls her wife, and has no interest at all in Jesus Christ! Now I understand Hebrews 6:4 - 6! As for myself, I love the Lord more and more every day, and have the keen desire to eat God's word and grow ever more spiritually! I've been saved for nearly 43 years and couldn't be more content and happy in my Dear LORD!!! I want more of Jesus Christ, and yearn to see His wonderful face!!!
Apostasy is departing from the faith. Second Timothy 2:13, If we believe not, He abideth faithful. He can not deny Himself. Ephesians 1:13-14. Ephesians 4:30. An apostate is one who believed the gospel but departed from the faith. We only have to believe it once to be saved forever. John 6:47. John 3:18. Inorder to depart from something you had to have once had something. So, according to the bible apostates are still saved. They may lose their rewards in heaven, and God will not hear their prayers. Second Timothy 2:12. But we can not lose eternal life. First Corinthians 3:11-15. Salvation is a free gift by a one time faith alone in Jesus alone apart from any works. Romans 4:5. If we keep the faith we will have a reward in heaven. If we lose our faith we are still saved. God cannot lie. John 6:47. The only requirement for salvation is to accept His free gift of eternal life. Romans 6:23. For the penalty for sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. A gift is paid in full by the giver. First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. Once we believe it we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. Ephesians 1:13-14. John 10:28-29. The promise of God.
What about people who get dementia and do not remember that they were saved? If they ever accepted Jesus free gift of eternal life, they are saved. John 6:47. Sealed by the Holy Spirit the second we believe on Jesus as the only way of salvation apart from any works. Romans 4:5-8. Romans 3:26-28. There will be no boasting in heaven. Matthew 7:21-23. Only those who have done the will of His Father in heaven are saved. John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that ALL that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 3:18. The GIFT of God is eternal life. Paid in full by the giver to all who accept the free gift.
Hi Sounds like my ex Girlfriend from over 16 years ago. The ironary is that when we were initially together I was unsaved. We split up, but she then decided to get herself saved!!!!, to make me think she had changed her attitude etc. We got back together because we then had a child together, but later split up again. About 4 months later, I was saved through my neighbour who was a Church leader, who again, ironically was husband of the woman who led her too Christ!?? After a few years she drifted further and further away from her Church, she became more and more hostile then after denouncing her faith she became a lesbian and obviously became more hostile. Infact spiritually I have battled with her for 16 plus years. Praise The Lord Christ, I have been blessed so so much in many ways through my own ministry of Apologetics and learning Scripture from The Jewish frame of Reference, which initially was started by my Discipleship through Yorrie who led me to Christ in December 2006.

Thank you John, I've lived in this world for a while and I have fallen soooo many times, but I thank God my faith has never failed me. Anyone here who may think/feel you’re an apostate, but have a sincere wholehearted desire to surrender, truly ready to put all faith/trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, eager for repentance, through prayer presenting to Him a sincerely contrite heart, desiring Him to become the absolute center of your life from here on out(for real this time) … take heart! The truth is this longing for Jesus Christ you’re experiencing is not from yourself, but is in fact God calling you back! It is not of yourself that the desire to seek Him has once again returned. Jesus said, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them” (John 6:44). In other words, the only way we can seek God is if the Holy Spirit has first stirred our hearts with a desire for God. It is God who draws us to Himself. Ephesians 2:8 underscores this truth: “By grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God.” All praise and glory be to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, always and forever. Amen!
I have been through 4 church splits all baptists. I now go some I have always enjoyed church used to go to every service but I watch a great Bible study in morning I love watching people like macarthur pastor Lawson bauchman veith an others. My faith is stronger than ever . I love the Lord an pray for salvation of my 5 children 17 grands an 14 great grands.

MacAurthor is great. Many in the comments are just hearing him wrong, just as I had initially. Bible scholars / theologians widely debate this topic, ntm apostasy being one of the most highly debated topics in the Bible. But here’s what he’s saying: Apostates can repent! If you look in the book of Jude, you’ll notice where it even mentions being careful when offering apostates repentance. A true-to-the-core apostate won’t hear or accept sound doctrine. You’ll see Jude 1: 23, are those whose condition demands aggressive action, “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire,” so we’re to be more aggressive. It’s calling them to repentance, calling them to faith in Christ, exposing error, and pulling them out of their lifestyle. Some may take heed of the call, that is if God places the desire inside them to come forward and repent. But the true apostates, mentioned in places such as Hebrews 6:4 will not take heed of good doctrine, rebuking/refusing the way, the truth, and the life that is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise and glory be to His name forever! Amen. You described me! I fell away for a long time into new age mystical beliefs not even knowing they were occult. I was born again at 19 and just fell away …I still believed in God until I was deceived by reincarnation. Long story short I spent years searching for what I already knew to be true and realized this year that after having a health issue I needed the one true God of Israel and went back to church and gave my life to the lord. I do all I can to show the lord I love him but I’m afraid that since I committed apostasy I cannot be saved and I have this terrible feeling in my stomach because of learning about apostasy. I struggle from time to time with this but God always renews me and proves He is in control of my life and draws me in fear and total love to Him and His word daily. Also He gives me messages that remind me that i am eternally saved such as this one here, praise be the Lord for His total love and mercy!

Agnostic Steve, were you expecting God to answer a prayer and you didn’t get the answer you wanted??? It’s not possible to be truly born again spiritually ( not religious) to turn away because one personally experiences God in our life through the born again experience. We grow by the teaching / guidance of the Holy Spirit. It’s Christ in us. A spiritual rebirth. How does one deny that? Life never will be perfect. There will be difficult times. Some very difficult. Scripture is so mysterious. Take one word and learn the Greek or Hebrew meaning, it’s amazing. There’s also all types of historical proof as written in scripture. Yes, pastors can preach and bring people to Jesus Christ who are not born again. They know about Him but, do not personally know Him. We put God in a box of our own limits. God works in many ways. Are we at a point where it’s all about what God gives us. Salvation is huge, a free gift of eternal life & it cost Jesus our Savior a huge price. He gave up his paradise, everything he could, stepped down from glory to this sin sick world. He desires a personal relationship with us. The question is, what have we given to Him? How do we serve Him?
I love you brothers and sisters there at Grace to You, but I have to disagree with you on this matter concerning Steve and him being apostate now. I don't believe you when you say he was never a Christian. I believe he was, I know this because I sometimes feel the same way he feels/felt. I know for sure, with all my heart that I love God. Jesus is the messiah. I'm filled with the Holy Spirit but sometimes I struggle with why God doesn't do for me and struggling Christians as he purported to do for desperate people in the Bible. My son has been disabled for over 40 years and I have taken care of him since birth. Where is God when I need Him to heal my son, I'm tired. His father, my husband left us when he was four years old. After 40 years and no help, not even from people in the church, I'm tired. I pray and I believe God will heal him but He hasn't. I know how Steve feels but the difference between me and Steve is that I will endure til the end! I don't know why God hasn't answered my many prayers but I know He doesn't have to give me a reason, all I know is my duty here on earth is to love God and obey His commandments and endure hardships till the end of my life or end of the world. I don't like it, I've been tempted so many times to turn apostate, like Steve, but Satan will not win this battle in my mind. I know the road that leads to heaven is hard, harder for some than others, but I know that whether God answers my prayers or not, I know his Word, everything He has said in the Bible is true. Hang in there! Sometimes healing doesn’t come until we are with Him in eternity. Serve the Lord with all your heart. Prayerfully seek out how He can use you here in this life to serve and glorify Him and His Kingdom. The prize awaiting is going to be glorious beyond measure.

We cant make windows into men's souls. God said you would know them by their fruit, but fruit can be faked in short intervals, so it's consistency, overtime which requires a daily pursuit of God. If there is no God, there is no peace, only "now" and now consists of a lot of horror. So that guy who wrote the letter wasn't being completely honest. Some people are fatalists. They believe everything about the gospel and turn their back on it anyway. It's not easy being a Christian or an atheist. And if you're agnostic you might as well be atheist. You either deny the flesh or you indulge it... either road is difficult. But what God did through Jesus makes sense to me and I am confident, in this completely screwed up world, to put my faith in Jesus Christ. The world is there waiting to put your light out. You have to understand, at least in part, how hopeless and sinful you are and this must humble you enough for you to grab hold and hold fast to the free gift Salavation.
27:00 description of assurance. how is it assurance when considering Titus 1:16? “They profess to know God, but in their works they deny him.” J Mac says someone can mess up big time, not deny Jesus as Lord and savior, and that’s the assurance of faith. But you can deny him with your sins too, not just your theology. The testing of faith doesn’t refer to the theology you retain after sinning. James 1 says making it through the trial, the testing of faith, is not succumbing to the temptation to sin, which is about living out your faith.

Hebrews 10:26-29 For if we sin (wander away from the path and truth) wilfully (deliberately running after) after that we have received (taken hold of and accepted) the knowledge (Gr. epignosis - meaning first hand experiential relationship knowledge) of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins, (there is no other way to be saved except through Christ's sacrifice, so if you throw that away, there is nothing else available to save you) But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses: Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, (has lived according to the flesh and shamed Christ on a constant basis) and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was (has been) sanctified, (with which he was set apart as holy by God. You aren't set aside as holy by God on your own merit. You can only be set aside as holy if Christ's blood has been applied to your life) an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace? The parable of the mustard seeds tells us that three of the seeds took root. For the gospel to take root, the Holy Spirit has to indwell you to plant it there. Two of them are not able to sustain the walk, due to the lure of the world, or the tribulations of the world. Only one roots deeply enough to bring forth fruit. That doesn't mean the other two didn't accept, they couldn't endure to the end. Why do you think we are told to run the race so that we may claim the prize. Can you lose the race and the prize? Why would Paul say that people have shipwrecked their faith? Why would Paul say that he has to bring his body under subjection so that after having preached to others to walk the walk, he might not find himself disqualified or castaway from receiving salvation. There are plenty of other verses, but if you don't want to believe that God means what He says, then don't. Just remember there will be those who say, "Lord, Lord" and Christ will say, "Depart from me, I never knew you."

@@conniemaew Salvation is secure, it's not anything we do to gain or lose it John 10 28:29. There is a judgement, based on works, the Bema seat judgement, where we will be rewarded for works we have done. But while rewards are given at the judgment seat, there is also the possibility of the loss of reward for some believers. In 1 Corinthians 9:27, the apostle Paul says he disciplines his body like an athlete, training it to do what it should, for fear that he might be disqualified even after preaching to others. Contrary to how some Bible readers interpret this passage, Paul is not expressing that he might lose his salvation. Rather, he is expressing the possibility of standing before the judgment seat of Christ and being “disapproved.” Paul is talking about receiving rewards and he does not want to come before the Judge and be disqualified for receiving a reward.
@@judithmargret5972 I am not twisting it, I am simply accepting what it says, even if that is not comfortable, rather than believing it says what I may want it to say. If you don't believe that Hebrews means what it says, that is your privilege, but I take Scripture at face value whenever possible, regardless of whether I like what it says or not. Too many verses teach that you have the free will to walk away from God, even after accepting Christ. The passages in Hebrews say that. Several parables say that. Faith is what saves us, but as James says, faith without works is dead, because works are the evidence that we have faith. Works may only get us rewards, but without them there is no evidence that we have faith. In John 15 it says, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." If a man that is in the branch (and in the branch means he has been grafted in by accepting Jesus as his Savior) abides or walks with the Lord in holiness, he will bring forth much fruit or works. If he is in the branch but does not bring forth fruit or is not doing works as the evidence of his faith, he is cast forth and merely withers and is lopped off and cast in the fire." The fire is a pretty clear destination. That seems clear to me, but if you want to put a different spin on it, you have every right to. It then becomes a matter of opinion as to who is twisting the Word when one is told by Paul that one must work out one's salvation with fear and trembling. If one wants to keep their salvation a sure thing, they had better be walking with the Lord. The rampant apostasy in America tells us that many may hear the words, "Depart from me, I never knew you." even though they believe they are all unconditionally secure. Salvation is not a trophy to put on a shelf on the wall. It must be continually active to be kept in a good condition. If a person ignores their spouse all the time, and does things the spouse doesn't like, rather than doing the things the spouse wants them to be doing, they might one day find they are served with divorce papers. Just as God divorced Israel, He can do the same to us. You obviously don't have to accept that if you don't like it, but it isn't going to change the truth.
I have a loved, baptized family member at age 18 who has now just a few years later bought the evolutionist view point, now abandoned the Bible, now abandoned even the existence of God, and says even if he discovered God was real, he won't follow him because he doubts the goodness of God based on old testament stories. Has anyone known of an actual person who went apostate and later came to repentance and entered a true saving faith? Is there hope for him? I assume he was a false convert. Has anyone like this ever come out of it?
I'm not quite sure what one does with the concept of human free will in relation to the impossibility of true Converts leaving the faith. If one relies on self deception as an explanation, how can any claimant to salvation be certain of their own salvation?
I guess I am considered in the Ariminian camp in contrast to the reformed and I want to give honor where honor is due concerning this exposition... this subject was treated with careful consideration from the scriptures where the leading of the Holy Spirit was in balance to the wisdom of the Spirit. In the letter he says that, “He did not leave because of extreme sin in his life”. John you should know better. Everyone leaves because of extreme sin in their lives; that is the main danger of unrepentant sin. That is why scripture warns us to be on our guard.
He said it's not bcz of extreme sin in his life, and u say no vryone leaves bcz of extreme sin in their lives.. Some people leave not bcz of sin but their need for so called freedom to live however they want.. Some leave for that burst of attention people give them when people around them come to know of their apostasy

What's the difference in backsliding or someone who was a believer and then they ended up getting surrounded by the wrong crowd and then next thing you know they're making extremely bad decisions like divorcing their spouse and marrying another but still claiming to be Christian and have a great relationship with God
Hebrews 6:4-6 and 2 Peter 2:20-21 talk about people that were clearly believers according to the conditions in the initial verses, and then later turn away and end up in a worse condition than they started. You CANNOT now say that they weren't true believers in the first place, because the beginning verses make it clear that they were in the first place, unless you really believe someone who is not born again (1) can escape the corruption of the world, (2) are enlightened, (3) have tasted the heavenly gift, (4) have shared in the Holy Spirit, and (5) have tasted the goodness of the word of God. This passage is talking about believers, and they can turn away from the faith and end up in a bad place.

I came to Christ last year and I am still struggling with my sins. There isn't a day in which I am free of this war within myself. How can I claim that I am saved? Please advise me.
Hey Sam I understand what you’re going through it can be rough at times, as long as we are in this world we are going to struggle with these things, but the very fact that you are aware of the struggle indicates that you are in fact saved or you would not care about it at all. Fight the good fight brother keep the faith!

What no pastor has mentioned ever is that the prince of the world has been given authority years ago. And that he has many followers who are strong believers. You couldnt of repented and come out to be seperate as scriptures mention throughout the bible and not be willing to aling otherw with this understandiung. Poor John MacArthur almost seems to have hope that these "props" really had some kind of choice for their apostasy. Wrong. People all over the world believe you can “walk away” not lose your salvation because of scripture; not because of what people do or don’t do. All throughout the New Testament we are constantly warned against falling away or being deceived. And these are warnings to believers. But of course ultimately God knows those who will persevere.
He acknowledged there is a God not to believe in. I wonder who gave him his GOD GIVEN conscience to believe or not believe. Who gave him ears to hear and eyes to see or a mouth to speak? It was GOD. You can believe in anything but that doesn't make it true. It is true because God says it's true. In order to part from the faith you had to be part of the faith to begin with. Jesus predicts the falling away in these last days. It is those spiritual leaders that as Peter says, they willfully forget the prophets and they are deceived in the end times. Peter says they count slackness concerning the Lord's Coming. They are those spiritual leaders that have been taught God's truth and have learned it and have seen it and they try to replace the truth. It is usually in the escotology of the Bible concerning the last days. They are not concerned about the Coming of the Lord. They have no victory in Jesus. It is there pride that turns them away. Like Jude the Lord's half brother says, they are a hidden rock. They feed themselves without fear and their sin causes them to be deceived. They are a waterless cloud. They promise much and produce little. They are a dead tree. Their fruit has withered. They are a raging wave of the sea. stirring up strife in the church. They are a fallen star. They are not hypocrites. They are those who know the doctrine and deny it's power. They are all head and no heart. They have no oil in their vessel. They know and have the fruit of the Spirit in their doctrine but they don't have it in their heart and soul and that's why Jesus says He doesn't know them. Pray for them. John 15 says it all. You can't abide in Christ if you don't bear the fruit of His Spirit and remain in it to the end. Against such there is no law. You can't abide in Christ if you don't keep His Commandment to love one another as Christ loves us. You can't love Jesus and not love His people. You can't destroy the fellowship of the brotherhood. Big mistake. It is the Spirit that keeps us out of trouble. It is shocking because it can be people that are your relatives and loved ones that you know for a fact they know better but it is Christ who is the divider of men in spiritual matters. They have changed their position in Christ and Jude basically says they are dangerous, deceptive, dead, and disturbed.

Someone you had to make love you or someone who wants to love you back? We are all born into sin and even that was to bring us to God. We all have the sinful blood that runs thru our veins and we wake up with it every morning. It is the one thing that the entire world has in common is the sinful blood. The only way we can shed it is to die and Christ already did that for us. God gave the Laws for many reasons. He gave the law so that He could reveal Himself to us. How else would you know God? but He foretold that we could not keep the Mosaic law in it's entirety. He said to break one is to break them all and to keep one is to keep them all and He said we couldn't because of our sinful nature but having sin and knowing the law we were given the knowledge of good and evil and we were given a free will choice to choose Christ. God foretold that He would send a Messiah that would set us free from the law but until then He accepted the sacrifice of an innocent animal ( a bull that was sacrificed once a year). to attone for our sins until Christ the Messiah came and.paid the ultimate sacrifice once for all. God gave the law to the Jews to show them that they were just as sinful as the Gentile that they would not even touch because they considered the Gentile to be unclean. He gave them the laws for knowledge of hygiene and food to eat. They couldn't process pork in those days and it could kill them. They were to wash there hands past their wrist. There are 613 of God's perfect laws in the Penituch which are the first five books of the Bible that Moses wrote. There are laws for widows and orphans, but God took the first 10 and gave them to Moses on Mount Sinai. God knew that the law would be broken and that when sin entered the world thru Adam that the more we multiplied the earth the more sin would increase in the world. Paul says in Galatians that if there had been a law given that could have given life, then truly righteousness would have been by the law, but that the law could only bring death. We could not live an eternal life with God under the law because of sin. The law is holy just and good but we are not because of sin. We can't bring God's perfect laws down to man's level. Jesus was the only Way. He was the only one who could save us because He is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin and without sin. When He Rose from the grave that was Gods stamp of approval to the world that He accepted Christ sacrifice for our sins. Had Christ not rose we would not be saved. Christ sacrificed His body and offered up His soul to God and He conquered death once for all because the sin of the entire world past, present and future was in that cup He drank from in the Garden of Gethsemane that the angel handed Him and He bore it in His body and took it to the cross. Even those who have not been born yet, their sin was in that cup. Christ has already seen it. We can't save ourself and we can't die any better than the Son of God and why would anyone want to. Christ set us free!! He was the only Way. God is a just God and He cannot deny Himself. He is the same yesterday today and tomorrow and it was the only Way He could reconcile us back to Him apart from the law. But there comes a time in the last days that if someone who knows the truth and knows the Fruit of the Spirit, against such there is no law, and they profess and proclaims it but dont possess the Spirit in their heart and soul then by their sin they can be deceived. If Christ was beaten and tortured and rejected and hung on a cross to be crucified at His first Coming you sure don't try to steal the glory of His second Coming to but the apostate will mock His Coming and ridicule it and delay it. Even if Christ delays it is because He so loves the world and wants no man to perish but that all would come to repentance. It grieves God's heart to see anyone die without Jesus and He is trying to give this world every opportunity to come to Him and not go into the wrath of the tribulation. We who love Jesus are not appointed to wrath. The tribulation has nothing to do with the church. It is God dealing with the Jews for rejecting His Son. It is to bring the Jews back to the fold. If Christ had not been rejected at His first Coming there wouldn't even be a Second Coming and for anyone to mock it or try to replace the truth of it in the end time when they have been taught it and learned it then they have no excuse. The devil tried to steal God's glory in the days of Noah and he will try to now if he can get away with it and deceive even the elect. The Second Coming of Christ is the Grand Finally! It is Christ Coming to reign on this Earth in all His Glory as He should have the First time and woe to anyone who takes away from that! He came in this world a humbling soul as the sacrificial Lamb of God and laid down His life for us and when He comes again He will Come as the Lion of the tribe of Juda and I do not want to hang out with anyone who mocks the Lord's Coming. So Jesus died in our place so we wouldn't have to. I know that I was predestined before the foundation of the earth because God is an eternal God and He is Omnificent. He knows all things. He knows the heart of every man. He is not trapped by time. For He so LOVED the World that He gave His only begotten Son. Jesus didn't die in vein. He didn't die for nothing. He died to set us free! Jesus came to reconcile us back to God and He died our death otherwise we would all be going to hell and back in a handbag because we are all born into sin and have the sinful blood and we would all have to die an eternal death under the law because God Himself said we couldn't keep the law. Paul says that they were kept under guard by the law until Jesus (faith) came. He says we are all one in Christ Jesus now. He says that we are adopted as sons which is very special because someone who is adopted is chosen and becomes an heir and takes their masters name. Paul was upset because the Pharisees were telling the Galatians that they were kept by law and Paul had just told them the gospel so Paul said why is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements to which you desire again to be in bondage. He explains how Abraham had to sons. One by Sarah the free women( an Israelite) and the other by the bond women Hagar (Sarah's maid who was a Palestinian) He said the bond women was born according to the flesh but the free women through promise. Sarah's son Isaac is the promised son. He says the bond women shall not be heir with the free women. He says it's a symbol of the two covenants of law and grace. If you add one ounce of law to Grace then it is no longer grace but the new covenant that Christ established on the cross is by Grace alone. A covenant is a pact or a contract or testament with God. Paul says " and I testify again to every man who becomes circumsized that he is a debtor to keep the WHOLE LAW." Paul says " you have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law, you have fallen from Grace." For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. Paul says we have been called to liberty. He says only don't use liberty as an opportunity in the flesh but through love serve one another. Paul says for all the law is fulfilled in this: that you shall love your neighbor as yourself but if you bite and devour one another lest you be consumed by one another. He says the flesh wars against the spirit and the spirit wars against the flesh. He says as many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumsized only that they may not suffer persecution of the cross of Christ. For not even those who are circumsized keep the law, but they desire to have you circumsized that they may boast in your flesh. The book of GALATIANS IS SALVATION BY GRACE!!! I dont listen to false prophets. I was speaking of prophesy. God gave us the prophets and over 25% of the Bible is God telling us in advance what is to come so that we would know. When you apostate you can do that only from a human made organization, you can not apostate from God ever. Even if you want to. Because you have a soul. And God did your soul. You do that because you remove yourself from for exampme the roman catholic church, but even if you think you can, you will just not be able to remove from God. And not from Jesus. Jesus are the basic laws of community and fair play, of compassion amd love. You can move away from these beasic lessons because you will get lost on your way. Well, I guess I would write a similar letter.... I have come to find that "Christianity" is false. If you read John Chapter 8 you will realize that Jesus Christ was the first apostate.... The law of Jehovah / Yahweh is to stone the adulterous Jesus did not stone. Jesus specifically tells the Pharisees that: They NEVER new his (Jesus) heavenly father and that they worshiped the devil. The god of the old testament is a jealous, angry, wrathful, and vengeful god. A liar and a murderer from the beginning who demands blood sacrifice of animals and humans. Total opposite of Jesus Christ. Jesus heals the sick, raises the dead etc. and the experts of the law say Jesus has a demon and commits blasphemy for which the high priest of Jehovah / Yahweh has the man who proves he is the son of GOD murdered. Why? Not for healing the sick or raising the dead but for denouncing the god of the Jews and his laws. The catholic church along with its offshoots are all in the service of "Satan." Read the red words of Christ in your bible, listen to Jesus and forget the doctrines of the church and you will realize why they cried out for Jesus to be crucified.... I am not disputing Christ, I am disputing the teachings of the Church that simply do not agree with Christ's own words. I am disputing the teaching that the god Yahweh or Jehovah (YHWH) is the "Father" Christ speaks of. I am disputing the idea that Jesus died for your sins or anyones sins.... Jesus own words preached not to judge and you cannot have sin without judgment. Jesus taught to forgive everyone and he even forgave the people who crucified him. If I forgive my enemies and those who "persecute" me how is it just that YHWH will torment them in hell? I am disputing the validity of the church and it's teachings on it's fruits... I understand what you are trying to say. There are those who profess Christianity but they are not Christians. You can find apostasy in any denomination and they give Christians a bad name but it is not because of their sin. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. You have to know you are a sinner to be saved or how will there be any conviction in your heart. That's why Jesus died but the Jews rejected Jesus and hung him on a cross. But God loves them and He is faithful to them and He chose them and God makes it clear that we are to love them. God made marraige and marraige was made in heaven when God chose to lead the Jews out of bondage. They are God's people and if not for their rejection of Christ , Christ would not have taken a new bride, the church, which is any one who will receive Him. He calls the church His Bride and the body of Christ. He is the head of the church and the church is the body of Christ. Just as the man is the head of the marraige and the wife the body of the marraige. Why would you hurt your own body? But He knows who knows the truth. He knows the heart of every man. The Scribes and Pharisees were the Jewish do gooders who tried to put others salvation, who had heard the gospel ( goodnews) back under the law after Christ had redeemed them from the law on the cross as if Christ had died in vein or for nothing. He saved us just as God saved the Jews out of Eygpt, Christ saved us from the bondage of the law by His mercy and Grace. Many Jews do not believe Christ is the Son of God. God said because of our sin we could not keep the law in it's entirety. He said to break one was to break them all and to keep one was to keep them all and even Solomon said to think it is to do it. Jesus loves sinners but He hates sin because He knows there are consequences to sin that will hurt us but He does not receive the sinner unless they are saved. He doesn't change us to love us, He loves us to change us and accepts us as we are without one plea. Savation is by Grace alone thru faith. That is the new covenant. Grace means unmerited favor. We didn't do anything to deserve it, Christ loves us unconditionally and did it for us. It is a gift from God. You can't earn it. It's a gift. Jesus said I remember their sin no more. He said I put my law into their hearts and in their minds I wrote them. Christ didn't judge the adulterous women because we are no longer under law but the Pharisees judged her and they were no better. He is also letting them know that they practice adultery by rejecting Him. When God gave them the law it was to reveal Himself to them. How else would we know God if not they His Laws but it was also to show them that they were just as sinful as the Gentile that they wouldn't even touch who they considered as heathens or dogs and God showed them that they were no better. There are 613 of God's laws in the first 5 books ( the Penituch) of the Bible that Moses wrote. But God took the first ten and gave them to Moses on Mount Sinai but God already knew the law would be broken. There is to be NO MORE sacrifice for sin. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice once for all. We can't be mad at God for the things that we choose in our lives or the decisions that we make. Christ never forced Himself upon anyone. He could have created us to live Him or commanded us to love Him but who would you want to spend forever with? Someone you had to make love you? NO! You want to spend forever with someone who wants to love you back and so does God. Always make sure you have love in your heart for everyone and forgiveness when the Lord Jesus Comes and thank God you are not their judge. Only God is wise enough and loving enough to judge and when it comes to His Son He will draw the line even with the Jews. You can't love the Lord and not love His people and that will include sinners who may have hurt you. Christ would not want us to hurt anyone in word or in action and He didn't cause it but He died for everyone and thank God the Lord don't cancel us out!!!!
Who is he to point out another believers faults. I think he’s speaking from his own convictions. “Who shall bring a charge against Gods elect?” Roman’s 8:33. “ Get the beam out of your own eye before you point out the speck in your brother or sisters” Mathew 7:5 “Therefore there is no more condemnation for those who are in Christ” Romans 8:1 “Judge not lest ye be judged” Mathew 7:1 Stop making fun of day star televangelist Mr. MacArthur and other ministries. Sorry but I don’t like John Macarthur. He’s mean and pharisaic. With a ministry called Grace to you he certainly doesn’t offer much grace. I felt more a spirit of torment and discouragement after listening to this guy. He doesn’t offer much hope.
Pastor John is absolutely right in accordance with apostasy as is recorded in the Bible!! The "believers" who stopped believing were never truly saved in the first place! A relative of mine professed Jesus Christ for a few years, getting involved in Bible studies, sang in the choir, etc., then fell away from the faith and became a lesbian! She is now "married" to a woman she calls her wife, and has no interest at all in Jesus Christ! Now I understand Hebrews 6:4 - 6! As for myself, I love the Lord more and more every day, and have the keen desire to eat God's word and grow ever more spiritually! I've been saved for nearly 43 years and couldn't be more content and happy in my Dear LORD!!! I want more of Jesus Christ, and yearn to see His wonderful face!!!

Apostasy is departing from the faith. Second Timothy 2:13, If we believe not, He abideth faithful. He can not deny Himself. Ephesians 1:13-14. Ephesians 4:30. An apostate is one who believed the gospel but departed from the faith. We only have to believe it once to be saved forever. John 6:47. John 3:18. Inorder to depart from something you had to have once had something.
So, according to the bible apostates are still saved. They may lose their rewards in heaven, and God will not hear their prayers. Second Timothy 2:12. But we can not lose eternal life. First Corinthians 3:11-15. Salvation is a free gift by a one time faith alone in Jesus alone apart from any works. Romans 4:5. If we keep the faith we will have a reward in heaven. If we lose our faith we are still saved. God cannot lie. John 6:47. The only requirement for salvation is to accept His free gift of eternal life. Romans 6:23. For the penalty for sin is death, but the GIFT of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord. A gift is paid in full by the giver.
First John 5:13. These things have I written unto you that BELIEVE on the name of the Son of God, that ye may KNOW YE HAVE ETERNAL LIFE. Once we believe it we are sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise. Ephesians 1:13-14. John 10:28-29. The promise of God.
What about people who get dementia and do not remember that they were saved? If they ever accepted Jesus free gift of eternal life, they are saved. John 6:47. Sealed by the Holy Spirit the second we believe on Jesus as the only way of salvation apart from any works.
Romans 4:5-8. Romans 3:26-28. There will be no boasting in heaven. Matthew 7:21-23.
Only those who have done the will of His Father in heaven are saved. John 6:40 And this is the will of Him who sent me, that ALL that seeth the Son, and believeth on Him, may have everlasting life, and I will raise him up on the last day. John 3:18. The GIFT of God is eternal life. Paid in full by the giver to all who accept the free gift.

Sounds like my ex Girlfriend from over 16 years ago.
The ironary is that when we were initially together I was unsaved. We split up, but she then decided to get herself saved!!!!, to make me think she had changed her attitude etc. We got back together because we then had a child together, but later split up again. About 4 months later, I was saved through my neighbour who was a Church leader, who again, ironically was husband of the woman who led her too Christ!?? After a few years she drifted further and further away from her Church, she became more and more hostile then after denouncing her faith she became a lesbian and obviously became more hostile. Infact spiritually I have battled with her for 16 plus years.
Praise The Lord Christ, I have been blessed so so much in many ways through my own ministry of Apologetics and learning Scripture from The Jewish frame of Reference, which initially was started by my Discipleship through Yorrie who led me to Christ in December 2006.

Anyone here who may think/feel you’re an apostate, but have a sincere wholehearted desire to surrender, truly ready to put all faith/trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, eager for repentance, through prayer presenting to Him a sincerely contrite heart, desiring Him to become the absolute center of your life from here on out(for real this time) … take heart! The truth is this longing for Jesus Christ you’re experiencing is not from yourself, but is in fact God calling you back! It is not of yourself that the desire to seek Him has once again returned.
Jesus said, “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them” (John 6:44). In other words, the only way we can seek God is if the Holy Spirit has first stirred our hearts with a desire for God. It is God who draws us to Himself. Ephesians 2:8 underscores this truth: “By grace are you saved, through faith, and that not of yourselves. It is the gift of God.”

MacAurthor is great. Many in the comments are just hearing him wrong, just as I had initially. Bible scholars / theologians widely debate this topic, ntm apostasy being one of the most highly debated topics in the Bible. But here’s what he’s saying: Apostates can repent! If you look in the book of Jude, you’ll notice where it even mentions being careful when offering apostates repentance. A true-to-the-core apostate won’t hear or accept sound doctrine. You’ll see Jude 1: 23, are those whose condition demands aggressive action, “And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire,” so we’re to be more aggressive. It’s calling them to repentance, calling them to faith in Christ, exposing error, and pulling them out of their lifestyle. Some may take heed of the call, that is if God places the desire inside them to come forward and repent. But the true apostates, mentioned in places such as Hebrews 6:4 will not take heed of good doctrine, rebuking/refusing the way, the truth, and the life that is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Praise and glory be to His name forever! Amen.

You described me! I fell away for a long time into new age mystical beliefs not even knowing they were occult. I was born again at 19 and just fell away …I still believed in God until I was deceived by reincarnation. Long story short I spent years searching for what I already knew to be true and realized this year that after having a health issue I needed the one true God of Israel and went back to church and gave my life to the lord. Apostasy is committed by a person who never been saved. They walk away from the Lord and they never believed to begin with. A true Born Again Believer cannot walk away. They are sealed until the day of redemption.

Agnostic Steve, were you expecting God to answer a prayer and you didn’t get the answer you wanted???
It’s not possible to be truly born again spiritually ( not religious) to turn away because one personally experiences God in our life through the born again experience. We grow by the teaching / guidance of the Holy Spirit. It’s Christ in us. A spiritual rebirth. How does one deny that? Life never will be perfect. There will be difficult times. Some very difficult. Scripture is so mysterious. Take one word and learn the Greek or Hebrew meaning, it’s amazing. There’s also all types of historical proof as written in scripture. Yes, pastors can preach and bring people to Jesus Christ who are not born again. They know about Him but, do not personally know Him. We put God in a box of our own limits. God works in many ways.
Are we at a point where it’s all about what God gives us.
Salvation is huge, a free gift of eternal life & it cost Jesus our Savior a huge price. He gave up his paradise, everything he could, stepped down from glory to this sin sick world.
He desires a personal relationship with us.
The question is, what have we given to Him? How do we serve Him?

I love you brothers and sisters there at Grace to You, but I have to disagree with you on this matter concerning Steve and him being apostate now. I don't believe you when you say he was never a Christian. I believe he was, I know this because I sometimes feel the same way he feels/felt. I know for sure, with all my heart that I love God. Jesus is the messiah. I'm filled with the Holy Spirit but sometimes I struggle with why God doesn't do for me and struggling Christians as he purported to do for desperate people in the Bible. My son has been disabled for over 40 years and I have taken care of him since birth. Where is God when I need Him to heal my son, I'm tired. His father, my husband left us when he was four years old. After 40 years and no help, not even from people in the church, I'm tired. I pray and I believe God will heal him but He hasn't. I know how Steve feels but the difference between me and Steve is that I will endure til the end! I don't know why God hasn't answered my many prayers but I know He doesn't have to give me a reason, all I know is my duty here on earth is to love God and obey His commandments and endure hardships till the end of my life or end of the world. I don't like it, I've been tempted so many times to turn apostate, like Steve, but Satan will not win this battle in my mind. I know the road that leads to heaven is hard, harder for some than others, but I know that whether God answers my prayers or not, I know his Word, everything He has said in the Bible is true. I'm Praying for Steve and I ask that all who reads this pray for me and my son that my faith fail not. Thank you all and I love you my brothers and sisters in Christ!
Hang in there! Sometimes healing doesn’t come until we are with Him in eternity. Serve the Lord with all your heart. Prayerfully seek out how He can use you here in this life to serve and glorify Him and His Kingdom. The prize awaiting is going to be glorious beyond measure.

We cant make windows into men's souls. God said you would know them by their fruit, but fruit can be faked in short intervals, so it's consistency, overtime which requires a daily pursuit of God. If there is no God, there is no peace, only "now" and now consists of a lot of horror. So that guy who wrote the letter wasn't being completely honest. Some people are fatalists. They believe everything about the gospel and turn their back on it anyway. It's not easy being a Christian or an atheist. And if you're agnostic you might as well be atheist. You either deny the flesh or you indulge it... either road is difficult. But what God did through Jesus makes sense to me and I am confident, in this completely screwed up world, to put my faith in Jesus Christ. The world is there waiting to put your light out. You have to understand, at least in part, how hopeless and sinful you are and this must humble you enough for you to grab hold and hold fast to the free gift Salavation.
When believers stop believing they call others into and not what Christ says…
27:00 description of assurance. how is it assurance when considering Titus 1:16? “They profess to know God, but in their works they deny him.” J Mac says someone can mess up big time, not deny Jesus as Lord and savior, and that’s the assurance of faith. But you can deny him with your sins too, not just your theology. The testing of faith doesn’t refer to the theology you retain after sinning. James 1 says making it through the trial, the testing of faith, is not succumbing to the temptation to sin, which is about living out your faith.

You aren't set aside as holy by God on your own merit. You can only be set aside as holy if Christ's blood has been applied to your life) an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
The parable of the mustard seeds tells us that three of the seeds took root. For the gospel to take root, the Holy Spirit has to indwell you to plant it there. Two of them are not able to sustain the walk, due to the lure of the world, or the tribulations of the world. Only one roots deeply enough to bring forth fruit. That doesn't mean the other two didn't accept, they couldn't endure to the end. Why do you think we are told to run the race so that we may claim the prize. Can you lose the race and the prize? Why would Paul say that people have shipwrecked their faith? Why would Paul say that he has to bring his body under subjection so that after having preached to others to walk the walk, he might not find himself disqualified or castaway from receiving salvation.
There are plenty of other verses, but if you don't want to believe that God means what He says, then don't. Just remember there will be those who say, "Lord, Lord" and Christ will say, "Depart from me, I never knew you."

There is a judgement, based on works, the Bema seat judgement, where we will be rewarded for works we have done. But while rewards are given at the judgment seat, there is also the possibility of the loss of reward for some believers. In 1 Corinthians 9:27, the apostle Paul says he disciplines his body like an athlete, training it to do what it should, for fear that he might be disqualified even after preaching to others.
Contrary to how some Bible readers interpret this passage, Paul is not expressing that he might lose his salvation. Rather, he is expressing the possibility of standing before the judgment seat of Christ and being “disapproved.” Paul is talking about receiving rewards and he does not want to come before the Judge and be disqualified for receiving a reward.

If you don't believe that Hebrews means what it says, that is your privilege, but I take Scripture at face value whenever possible, regardless of whether I like what it says or not. Too many verses teach that you have the free will to walk away from God, even after accepting Christ. The passages in Hebrews say that. Several parables say that. Faith is what saves us, but as James says, faith without works is dead, because works are the evidence that we have faith. Works may only get us rewards, but without them there is no evidence that we have faith. In John 15 it says, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned." If a man that is in the branch (and in the branch means he has been grafted in by accepting Jesus as his Savior) abides or walks with the Lord in holiness, he will bring forth much fruit or works. If he is in the branch but does not bring forth fruit or is not doing works as the evidence of his faith, he is cast forth and merely withers and is lopped off and cast in the fire." The fire is a pretty clear destination. That seems clear to me, but if you want to put a different spin on it, you have every right to. It then becomes a matter of opinion as to who is twisting the Word when one is told by Paul that one must work out one's salvation with fear and trembling. If one wants to keep their salvation a sure thing, they had better be walking with the Lord. The rampant apostasy in America tells us that many may hear the words, "Depart from me, I never knew you." even though they believe they are all unconditionally secure. Salvation is not a trophy to put on a shelf on the wall. It must be continually active to be kept in a good condition. If a person ignores their spouse all the time, and does things the spouse doesn't like, rather than doing the things the spouse wants them to be doing, they might one day find they are served with divorce papers. Just as God divorced Israel, He can do the same to us. You obviously don't have to accept that if you don't like it, but it isn't going to change the truth.
I have a loved, baptized family member at age 18 who has now just a few years later bought the evolutionist view point, now abandoned the Bible, now abandoned even the existence of God, and says even if he discovered God was real, he won't follow him because he doubts the goodness of God based on old testament stories. Has anyone known of an actual person who went apostate and later came to repentance and entered a true saving faith? Is there hope for him? I assume he was a false convert. Has anyone like this ever come out of it?

I'm not quite sure what one does with the concept of human free will in relation to the impossibility of true Converts leaving the faith. If one relies on self deception as an explanation, how can any claimant to salvation be certain of their own salvation?
I guess I am considered in the Ariminian camp in contrast to the reformed and I want to give honor where honor is due concerning this exposition... this subject was treated with careful consideration from the scriptures where the leading of the Holy Spirit was in balance to the wisdom of the Spirit. Unadulterated not speaking from any particular camp but the Spirit of truth and life.

In the letter he says that, “He did not leave because of extreme sin in his life”. John you should know better. Everyone leaves because of extreme sin in their lives; that is the main danger of unrepentant sin. That is why scripture warns us to be on our guard.

Some people leave not bcz of sin but their need for so called freedom to live however they want.. What's the difference in backsliding or someone who was a believer and then they ended up getting surrounded by the wrong crowd and then next thing you know they're making extremely bad decisions like divorcing their spouse and marrying another but still claiming to be Christian and have a great relationship with God
Hebrews 6:4-6 and 2 Peter 2:20-21 talk about people that were clearly believers according to the conditions in the initial verses, and then later turn away and end up in a worse condition than they started. You CANNOT now say that they weren't true believers in the first place, because the beginning verses make it clear that they were in the first place, unless you really believe someone who is not born again (1) can escape the corruption of the world, (2) are enlightened, (3) have tasted the heavenly gift, (4) have shared in the Holy Spirit, and (5) have tasted the goodness of the word of God. This passage is talking about believers, and they can turn away from the faith and end up in a bad place.
We don't know yet if he is an apostate. What if he repents and comes back to Christ. Many of us are like the lost coin.
I pray that he does accept Christ and return to the faith.

I came to Christ last year and I am still struggling with my sins. There isn't a day in which I am free of this war within myself. How can I claim that I am saved? Please advise me.
Hey Sam I understand what you’re going through it can be rough at times, as long as we are in this world we are going to struggle with these things, but the very fact that you are aware of the struggle indicates that you are in fact saved or you would not care about it

What no pastor has mentioned ever is that the prince of the world has been given authority years ago. And that he has many followers who are strong believers. You couldnt of repented and come out to be seperate as scriptures mention throughout the bible and not be willing to aling otherw with this understandiung.

I've been seeking the Lord since a teenager. I discovered bldg with a steeple meant, aww sanctuary. WRONG.
Wrong. People all over the world believe you can “walk away” not lose your salvation because of scripture; not because of what people do or don’t do.
All throughout the New Testament we are constantly warned against falling away or being deceived. And these are warnings to believers.
But of course ultimately God knows those who will persevere.
He acknowledged there is a God not to believe in. I wonder who gave him his GOD GIVEN conscience to believe or not believe. Who gave him ears to hear and eyes to see or a mouth to speak? It was GOD. You can believe in anything but that doesn't make it true. It is true because God says it's true. In order to part from the faith you had to be part of the faith to begin with. Jesus predicts the falling away in these last days. It is those spiritual leaders that as Peter says, they willfully forget the prophets and they are deceived in the end times. Peter says they count slackness concerning the Lord's Coming. They are those spiritual leaders that have been taught God's truth and have learned it and have seen it and they try to replace the truth. It is usually in the escotology of the Bible concerning the last days. They are not concerned about the Coming of the Lord. They have no victory in Jesus. It is there pride that turns them away. Like Jude the Lord's half brother says, they are a hidden rock. They feed themselves without fear and their sin causes them to be deceived. They are a waterless cloud. They promise much and produce little. They are a dead tree. Their fruit has withered. They are a raging wave of the sea. stirring up strife in the church. They are a fallen star. They are not hypocrites. They are those who know the doctrine and deny it's power. They are all head and no heart. They have no oil in their vessel. They know and have the fruit of the Spirit in their doctrine but they don't have it in their heart and soul and that's why Jesus says He doesn't know them. Pray for them. John 15 says it all. You can't abide in Christ if you don't bear the fruit of His Spirit and remain in it to the end. Against such there is no law. You can't abide in Christ if you don't keep His Commandment to love one another as Christ loves us. You can't love Jesus and not love His people. You can't destroy the fellowship of the brotherhood. Big mistake. It is the Spirit that keeps us out of trouble. It is shocking because it can be people that are your relatives and loved ones that you know for a fact they know better but it is Christ who is the divider of men in spiritual matters. They have changed their position in Christ and Jude basically says they are dangerous, deceptive, dead, and disturbed.

Someone you had to make love you or someone who wants to love you back? We are all born into sin and even that was to bring us to God. We all have the sinful blood that runs thru our veins and we wake up with it every morning. It is the one thing that the entire world has in common is the sinful blood. The only way we can shed it is to die and Christ already did that for us. God gave the Laws for many reasons. He gave the law so that He could reveal Himself to us. How else would you know God? but He foretold that we could not keep the Mosaic law in it's entirety. He said to break one is to break them all and to keep one is to keep them all and He said we couldn't because of our sinful nature but having sin and knowing the law we were given the knowledge of good and evil and we were given a free will choice to choose Christ. God foretold that He would send a Messiah that would set us free from the law but until then He accepted the sacrifice of an innocent animal ( a bull that was sacrificed once a year). to attone for our sins until Christ the Messiah came and.paid the ultimate sacrifice once for all. God gave the law to the Jews to show them that they were just as sinful as the Gentile that they would not even touch because they considered the Gentile to be unclean. He gave them the laws for knowledge of hygiene and food to eat. They couldn't process pork in those days and it could kill them. They were to wash there hands past their wrist. There are 613 of God's perfect laws in the Penituch which are the first five books of the Bible that Moses wrote. There are laws for widows and orphans, but God took the first 10 and gave them to Moses on Mount Sinai. God knew that the law would be broken and that when sin entered the world thru Adam that the more we multiplied the earth the more sin would increase in the world. Paul says in Galatians that if there had been a law given that could have given life, then truly righteousness would have been by the law, but that the law could only bring death. We could not live an eternal life with God under the law because of sin. The law is holy just and good but we are not because of sin. We can't bring God's perfect laws down to man's level. Jesus was the only Way. He was the only one who could save us because He is the Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin and without sin. When He Rose from the grave that was Gods stamp of approval to the world that He accepted Christ sacrifice for our sins. Had Christ not rose we would not be saved. Christ sacrificed His body and offered up His soul to God and He conquered death once for all because the sin of the entire world past, present and future was in that cup He drank from in the Garden of Gethsemane that the angel handed Him and He bore it in His body and took it to the cross. Even those who have not been born yet, their sin was in that cup. Christ has already seen it. We can't save ourself and we can't die any better than the Son of God and why would anyone want to. Christ set us free!! He was the only Way. God is a just God and He cannot deny Himself. He is the same yesterday today and tomorrow and it was the only Way He could reconcile us back to Him apart from the law. But there comes a time in the last days that if someone who knows the truth and knows the Fruit of the Spirit, against such there is no law, and they profess and proclaims it but dont possess the Spirit in their heart and soul then by their sin they can be deceived. If Christ was beaten and tortured and rejected and hung on a cross to be crucified at His first Coming you sure don't try to steal the glory of His second Coming to but the apostate will mock His Coming and ridicule it and delay it. Even if Christ delays it is because He so loves the world and wants no man to perish but that all would come to repentance. It grieves God's heart to see anyone die without Jesus and He is trying to give this world every opportunity to come to Him and not go into the wrath of the tribulation. We who love Jesus are not appointed to wrath. The tribulation has nothing to do with the church. It is God dealing with the Jews for rejecting His Son. It is to bring the Jews back to the fold. If Christ had not been rejected at His first Coming there wouldn't even be a Second Coming and for anyone to mock it or try to replace the truth of it in the end time when they have been taught it and learned it then they have no excuse. The devil tried to steal God's glory in the days of Noah and he will try to now if he can get away with it and deceive even the elect. The Second Coming of Christ is the Grand Finally! It is Christ Coming to reign on this Earth in all His Glory as He should have the First time and woe to anyone who takes away from that! He came in this world a humbling soul as the sacrificial Lamb of God and laid down His life for us and when He comes again He will Come as the Lion of the tribe of Juda and I do not want to hang out with anyone who mocks the Lord's Coming. The man that wrote that letter never understood the truth. He is not deceived. He is lost and He better get on the boat or He is going to miss it!!!! Jesus loves sinners but He hates sin because He knows there are consequences to sin that will hurt us but He does not accept the sinner unless he is saved. He doesn't change us to love us. He loves us to change us and He accepts us as we are without one plea. But me must be born again and bear the fruit of the Spirit, but if that fruit doesn't remain in us to the end then because of our sin Jesus and John and Paul and Jude and Peter and Timothy all warn us that we can be deceived if we are found without love in our hearts!!!
@@BookOfDaniel Our problem is sin. You have to know your a sinner to be saved. What were you saved from? We were saved from eternal death. The wages for sin under the Ten commandments is death. So Jesus died in our place so we wouldn't have to. I know that I was predestined before the foundation of the earth because God is an eternal God and He is Omnificent. He knows all things. He knows the heart of every man. He is not trapped by time. For He so LOVED the World that He gave His only begotten Son. Jesus didn't die in vein. He didn't die for nothing. He died to set us free! Jesus came to reconcile us back to God and He died our death otherwise we would all be going to hell and back in a handbag because we are all born into sin and have the sinful blood and we would all have to die an eternal death under the law because God Himself said we couldn't keep the law. Paul says that they were kept under guard by the law until Jesus (faith) came. Paul says in GALATIANS that the law was our tutor or schoolmaster to bring us to Christ but that once Faith (JESUS) came we are no longer under a tutor. Grace means unmerited favor. We didn't do one thing to deserve it. Christ loves us unconditionally and did it for us. He paid the price once for all. He is the sacrificial Lamb of God. He redeemed us from the law. We are no longer in bondage to the law. We are under the law of Christ now. The law of love. Hebrews 10:26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgement and fiery indignation which will devour the adversary's. Paul says in Galatians that the law was ADDED until Christ came. If we could have been good enough Christ wouldn't have had to die for our sins. Paul says for even the circumcised ( the Pharisees and do gooders) don't keep the law but they put you under it so they can boast in your flesh. I will sit next to a sinner any day before I will someone who is self righteous. It is the self righteous who are condemned. Those who think they can get to heaven on their own by their own good works without Jesus. We wouldn't even know righteousness without God. We would not even know goodness. We have no righteousness on our own. We are to have the goodness of God. Paul says If anyone puts there salvation under law that they are a debtor to keep the WHOLE law. The law is holy just and good but our salvation is no longer under law. It is under Grace and we can't insult the Spirit of Grace as if Christ died in vein otherwise we crucify Him all over again. God Himself knew we couldn't keep the law when He gave the law, That's why He FORTOLD he would send a Messiah to set us free from it and He accepted a blood sacrifice from an innocent animal to attone for our sins until Jesus came. But they rejected Him and spit in His face and beat Him and hung Him on a cross to die. Jesus gave up His back to them and His heart melted like wax. He died of a broken heart. God forbid that I should boast in anything but the Lord Jesus. My face should be in the dirt. I am poor blind wretched and naked without Jesus but He has made me precious in the sight of God. Paul said he doesn't even judge himself. He said that God is the only one wise enough and loving enough to judge him. All we have to do is believe! Before Christ came they were under law and there faith was accounted to them for righteousness. Paul says in Galatians that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus. He says by the works of the law no flesh is justified. Paul says that he does not set aside the grace of God. He says for if righteousness comes through the law then Christ died in vein. Paul says did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith? Paul says that Noone is justified by the law in the sight of God is evident. For the just shall live by faith. Paul says Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law. Having become a curse for us. He says Noone is to add to the gospel or take away from it or pervert the gospel. Gospel means good news. There is no goodness in condemnation but what Christ did is good news. He says the law can only bring death. He says there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female. He says we are all one in Christ Jesus now. He says that we are adopted as sons which is very special because someone who is adopted is chosen and becomes an heir and takes their masters name. Paul was upset because the Pharisees were telling the Galatians that they were kept by law and Paul had just told them the gospel so Paul said why is it that you turn again to the weak and beggarly elements to which you desire again to be in bondage. He explains how Abraham had to sons. One by Sarah the free women( an Israelite) and the other by the bond women Hagar (Sarah's maid who was a Palestinian) He said the bond women was born according to the flesh but the free women through promise. Sarah's son Isaac is the promised son. He says the bond women shall not be heir with the free women. He says it's a symbol of the two covenants of law and grace. If you add one ounce of law to Grace then it is no longer grace but the new covenant that Christ established on the cross is by Grace alone. A covenant is a pact or a contract or testament with God. Paul says stand fast therefore in the liberty ( absolute and complete freedom ) by which Christ has made us free and don't be entangled again with the yoke of bondage. We are no longer slaves to the law. Paul says " I indeed say to you that if you become circumsized ( putting your salvation under law) that Christ will profit you nothing! Paul says " and I testify again to every man who becomes circumsized that he is a debtor to keep the WHOLE LAW." Paul says " you have become estranged from Christ, you who attempt to be justified by law, you have fallen from Grace." For we through the Spirit eagerly wait for the hope of righteousness by faith. Paul says we have been called to liberty. He says only don't use liberty as an opportunity in the flesh but through love serve one another. Paul says for all the law is fulfilled in this: that you shall love your neighbor as yourself but if you bite and devour one another lest you be consumed by one another. He says the flesh wars against the spirit and the spirit wars against the flesh. He says as many as desire to make a good showing in the flesh, these would compel you to be circumsized only that they may not suffer persecution of the cross of Christ. For not even those who are circumsized keep the law, but they desire to have you circumsized that they may boast in your flesh. The book of GALATIANS IS SALVATION BY GRACE!!! I dont listen to false prophets. I was speaking of prophesy. God gave us the prophets and over 25% of the Bible is God telling us in advance what is to come so that we would know. Theology is the study of the Bible and escotology is the study of prophesy which is a part of theology. God is not the author of confusion. Jesus paid it all!!!! Praise God Jesus paid it all!!! He saved our lives forever!!!!

When you apostate you can do that only from a human made organization, you can not apostate from God ever. Even if you want to. Because you have a soul. And God did your soul. You do that because you remove yourself from for exampme the roman catholic church, but even if you think you can, you will just not be able to remove from God. And not from Jesus. Jesus are the basic laws of community and fair play, of compassion amd love. You can move away from these beasic lessons because you will get lost on your way. But we just don't need no middleman in between. The Vatican teaches that nobody comes to God but through the church. But the bible says that nobody comes yo God but through Jesus. The church is not mentioned in the bible and was not necessary as such for real Christians. Because Jesus moved away from all eclestic organizations when he learned that they do not understand the teachings. How can love move away from a human? Its always there. Who we don't need are men in womens clothing in the Vatican and many places.. Same counts for thr Islam and all violent books like the Talmud and Koran. The real Christians do not need any institution. Thats the difference between some and others.

Well, I guess I would write a similar letter.... I have come to find that "Christianity" is false. If you read John Chapter 8 you will realize that Jesus Christ was the first apostate.... The law of Jehovah / Yahweh is to stone the adulterous Jesus did not stone. Jesus specifically tells the Pharisees that: They NEVER new his (Jesus) heavenly father and that they worshiped the devil. The god of the old testament is a jealous, angry, wrathful, and vengeful god. A liar and a murderer from the beginning who demands blood sacrifice of animals and humans. Total opposite of Jesus Christ.
Jesus heals the sick, raises the dead etc. and the experts of the law say Jesus has a demon and commits blasphemy for which the high priest of Jehovah / Yahweh has the man who proves he is the son of GOD murdered. Why? Not for healing the sick or raising the dead but for denouncing the god of the Jews and his laws.
The catholic church along with its offshoots are all in the service of "Satan." Read the red words of Christ in your bible, listen to Jesus and forget the doctrines of the church and you will realize why they cried out for Jesus to be crucified.... Jesus was indeed the son of GOD and the original apostate of the god of the old testament and the "church."

I am not disputing Christ, I am disputing the teachings of the Church that simply do not agree with Christ's own words. I am disputing the teaching that the god Yahweh or Jehovah (YHWH) is the "Father" Christ speaks of.
I am disputing the idea that Jesus died for your sins or anyones sins.... Jesus own words preached not to judge and you cannot have sin without judgment. Jesus taught to forgive everyone and he even forgave the people who crucified him. If I forgive my enemies and those who "persecute" me how is it just that YHWH will torment them in hell?
I am disputing the validity of the church and it's teachings on it's fruits... Billions of people claim to follow Christ while ignoring his very words and instructions. Children molested, bible teachers getting rich, fake healing, etc. God is LOVE and love does not produce any of those fruits. Love does not demand blood sacrifice or eternal torment....
The Watchtower or JW's , Mormons, Adventists, are on the same boat like christianity ...

I understand what you are trying to say. There are those who profess Christianity but they are not Christians. You can find apostasy in any denomination and they give Christians a bad name but it is not because of their sin. We all sin and fall short of the glory of God. You have to know you are a sinner to be saved or how will there be any conviction in your heart. That's why Jesus died but the Jews rejected Jesus and hung him on a cross. But God loves them and He is faithful to them and He chose them and God makes it clear that we are to love them. God made marraige and marraige was made in heaven when God chose to lead the Jews out of bondage. They are God's people and if not for their rejection of Christ , Christ would not have taken a new bride, the church, which is any one who will receive Him. He calls the church His Bride and the body of Christ. He is the head of the church and the church is the body of Christ. Just as the man is the head of the marraige and the wife the body of the marraige. Why would you hurt your own body? But He knows who knows the truth. He knows the heart of every man. The Scribes and Pharisees were the Jewish do gooders who tried to put others salvation, who had heard the gospel ( goodnews) back under the law after Christ had redeemed them from the law on the cross as if Christ had died in vein or for nothing. He saved us just as God saved the Jews out of Eygpt, Christ saved us from the bondage of the law by His mercy and Grace. Many Jews do not believe Christ is the Son of God. How can they ever bear any fruit. How can they tell anyone about the gospel if they don't believe Jesus is the Son of God. How can they ever bear the fruit of the Spirit. Christ paid our sin debt in full at the cross so we wouldn't have to because the wages for sin against Moses law was death so Jesus died in our place but until Jesus the Messiah came God allowed the blood from an innocent animal ( a bull ) to be sacrificed once a year to attone for their sins. Then they would cook it and have a big feast. God foretold He would send a Messiah to set us free from the law because the law couldn't give eternal life, it could only bring eternal death. The law is holy just and good but we are born into sin and even that was to bring us to God. We can't bring God's perfect laws down to man's level. God said because of our sin we could not keep the law in it's entirety. He said to break one was to break them all and to keep one was to keep them all and even Solomon said to think it is to do it. Jesus loves sinners but He hates sin because He knows there are consequences to sin that will hurt us but He does not receive the sinner unless they are saved. He doesn't change us to love us, He loves us to change us and accepts us as we are without one plea. Savation is by Grace alone thru faith. That is the new covenant. Grace means unmerited favor. We didn't do anything to deserve it, Christ loves us unconditionally and did it for us. It is a gift from God. You can't earn it. It's a gift. Jesus said I remember their sin no more. He said I put my law into their hearts and in their minds I wrote them. Christ didn't judge the adulterous women because we are no longer under law but the Pharisees judged her and they were no better. He is also letting them know that they practice adultery by rejecting Him. When God gave them the law it was to reveal Himself to them. How else would we know God if not they His Laws but it was also to show them that they were just as sinful as the Gentile that they wouldn't even touch who they considered as heathens or dogs and God showed them that they were no better. There are 613 of God's laws in the first 5 books ( the Penituch) of the Bible that Moses wrote. But God took the first ten and gave them to Moses on Mount Sinai but God already knew the law would be broken. There is to be NO MORE sacrifice for sin. Jesus was the ultimate sacrifice once for all. We can't be mad at God for the things that we choose in our lives or the decisions that we make. Christ never forced Himself upon anyone. He could have created us to live Him or commanded us to love Him but who would you want to spend forever with? Someone you had to make love you? NO! You want to spend forever with someone who wants to love you back and so does God. Always make sure you have love in your heart for everyone and forgiveness when the Lord Jesus Comes and thank God you are not their judge. Only God is wise enough and loving enough to judge and when it comes to His Son He will draw the line even with the Jews. You can't love the Lord and not love His people and that will include sinners who may have hurt you. Christ would not want us to hurt anyone in word or in action and He didn't cause it but He died for everyone and thank God the Lord don't cancel us out!!!!

Christianity is not the truth...as a religion anyway. What's the difference? this man found his own peace. God is the only judge. God will judge the whole earth based on their doctrines and deeds. if you believed a lie..then people will be guilty ......in the eyes of the Creator , the God of the Bible. FYI: Christianity was invention of Rome. It was never the same as the Abrahamic Faith of Israel. You should put your doctrines to the test . Read 1JOhn 4:1-3 and 1Thessalonians 5:21

Sorry but I don’t like John Macarthur. He’s mean and pharisaic. With a ministry called Grace to you he certainly doesn’t offer much grace. I felt more a spirit of torment and discouragement after listening to this guy. He doesn’t offer much hope.
