I have been attending a small United Methodist, a beautiful old church with elderly people; maybe about 15 in attendance each Sunday, many in their 80's. They have gone all their lives to this church as their ancestors, this old relic of a church, being built in the 1800's. Then, about 3 Sundays ago, a letter was read by the minister affirming what this article shares, which my bonus granddaughter heard.... (We raise her & a long story, but I have known her only about 3 years, and church has not been a part of her life before me.) We are all sinners, and church is a hard place at times to enter because of life choices, which is sad too. When I became 'Born Again', 'my sweet friend, witness of Jesus' wrapped me in Jesus' love without uplifting my sin. I heard His Words - sin no more.... And it has taken time, but how grateful I heard 'love & sin no more...' My point is this: when talking with a board member & pastor, I was told I was judgemental because I objected to the Church Governing body, changing, ignoring the Holy Words of God we all have lifted in prayers together; it is so sad. I can handle this because l know His Truth... my granddaughter does not. I have a home church I have gone to for years, but due to moving, I have attended this little church because it is right around our country corner. But so many caught off guard, so many believing the words "you are judgmental." Please pray for our little church, the elderly here, and sadly the defense of the church by accusing those who object as being judgmental... ✝️
Let’s pray for those Methodists that want to follow the Word, but may now not have a building to meet in or are meeting with different fellowships. May the Father, Son and Holy Spirit bless them and cause their churches to grow and prosper even in the apparent chaos and sadness.
The whole church is apostate if you consider the focus is on biblical times and seasons. Since when does any pastor think going against the Word is okay?
As a former UMC pastor told me when I said that they went apostate, "You have to be a Christian before you can become apostate from being Christian!" The UMC ceased to be Christian long before this!
I just returned from a Global Methodist Church midwest conference in Sioux City, Iowa and wow, what a relief. All the nasty backstabbing filthy protest, slimy arguing, and fighting you always had to put up with in UMC is now gone. The drag queens the flamers pronoun argument gone . We only worship Jesus with prayer and wonderful music what a wonderful experience. If you haven’t changed get it done quickly. I don’t care what it cost. It’s worth every penny to get out from under all that sin. God is blessing GMC.
God's Rainbow is a demonstration of His Mercy and lovingkindness. It's not a license to commit Sodomy, or transgress His Word and eternal statutes. They are badly DECEIVED.
Yes, actually their downward slide to apostasy is complete. Whenever you remove God, humanism fills the void. I watched several video clips from the General Conference, it was a celebration of man, not God. We see Romans Chapter 1 in action. I pray that their eyes will be open but alas the god of this world has blinded them.
Yes! You are absolutely right. I attended a service once, and it was about man's ability to "do good", and the service was filled with "social justice warrior" cries. NO talk of Jesus as Lord, submission, or atonement for sin. They don't even believe in sin anymore. To them, its about morality and all men have "good" hearts. I'm actually surprised that they are just now getting publicity about this. It's been going on there for years!
God did not create the Methodist. He gave us Jesus His Son to grow in. UMC is devlish and humanistic and its precepts and the influence behind it will burn in hell. Subscribe to Jesus and a personal relationship eith God thru Him, not a denomination. This is a great example of what happens when you look to people and not the Word of God.
@zmoore5555 Paul preached on that in the Word. "Who is Paul, or who is Apollos?" (1 Corinthians 3). So, now I ask what is methodist? What is Lutheran? What is Calvinism? This is blatant disregard and disobedience to the Word of God.

I understand how you feel, but I really believe that a good church is more than just nice to have: it's really a necessity. For years, I've been living off of teachings from some truly excellent media ministers (many of which I discovered through TBN), but I've found that, despite the extremely edifying things I've received from them, I often find myself having an extremely hard time applying everything I learn from them. I've often said to my heavenly Father, "I really wish that I had someone more spiritually mature than me to help me understand some things." Praise God, I've been squeaking by with virtually nobody other than the Holy Spirit as my comforter, but I really don't want to continue keeping to myself like this. I'm currently seeking God so that I may find the courage to go out and find a church to regularly attend (I'm not used to being around strangers, and I have no friends besides my own family!). But in the meantime, I'm not going to make any excuses for being confused. I've been receiving some truly transformative revelations recently as I continue to seek to live by faith and please God in all areas of life, and I'm confident that the Lord will continue to strengthen me through Christ to do His will. He's been very merciful to me even though I don't have the benefit of a good church right now, but there's no doubt in my mind that His best for us includes being united with other members of the body of Christ. I look forward to not just being blessed by others, but also being a blessing to my fellow saints!

We must repent of our sin and turn to god and share our faith about Jesus ✝️🙏👑
Yes! They are no longer a church as they decided on being a social organization and follow their own path! They went secular and that's that!
(We raise her & a long story, but I have known her only about 3 years, and church has not been a part of her life before me.)
We are all sinners, and church is a hard place at times to enter because of life choices, which is sad too.
When I became 'Born Again', 'my sweet friend, witness of Jesus' wrapped me in Jesus' love without uplifting my sin. I heard His Words - sin no more....
And it has taken time, but how grateful I heard 'love & sin no more...'
My point is this: when talking with a board member & pastor, I was told I was judgemental because I objected to the Church Governing body, changing, ignoring the Holy Words of God we all have lifted in prayers together; it is so sad.
I can handle this because l know His Truth... my granddaughter does not.
I have a home church I have gone to for years, but due to moving, I have attended this little church because it is right around our country corner.
But so many caught off guard, so many believing the words "you are judgmental."
Please pray for our little church, the elderly here, and sadly the defense of the church by accusing those who object as being judgmental...
✝️
We ARE supposed to judge what is being taught against GODs word. If a church/pastor is not in sync, we are to flee.
Let’s pray for those Methodists that want to follow the Word, but may now not have a building to meet in or are meeting with different fellowships. May the Father, Son and Holy Spirit bless them and cause their churches to grow and prosper even in the apparent chaos and sadness.
I hope the devil doesn't take over any more churches 🙏
@@buttercup4123same here.
ur bettter staying home, reading your bible and pray.than walking thru those doors.....this corrupt group is pure evil.....
Yes, that should be readily apparent to any Christian.
Judgement starts with the house of God.
The whole church is apostate if you consider the focus is on biblical times and seasons.
Since when does any pastor think going against the Word is okay?
@@DJ-769 "YOUR" church???? If it's your church then it was never part of the body of Christ. Period.
You cannot change the original dogma of the original teachings to fit your political ideologies. It becomes corrupt.
Knock the dust off your heels and leave.
As a former UMC pastor told me when I said that they went apostate, "You have to be a Christian before you can become apostate from being Christian!" The UMC ceased to be Christian long before this!
Wrong they are. They will stand before the great Judge, our Lord Jesus Christ. Heartbreaking! Pray.
I knew it would be a matter of time before they took God's will out of the church. 🔥
Yes, NO question.
Short answer, yes. Long answer, very much so, yes.
But this is the inevitability with protestant churches.
Is the United Methodist Church Guilty of Apostasy. YES.
This is NOT a church!
Yes! For those who have left God's truth
Yes. I say that coming from three generations of Methodism.
Every day I realize my decision to become Orthodox was God gift to me. These people want to modernize Christianity, the thing with that is the world is forever changing so there is no end to what they may change in the next 10 years. 🤦♂️

Throw all your titles out and worship Jesus. Otherwise, you’ll be very disappointed when your denomination does likewise. Denomination means nothing. Denominations don’t go to heaven. People do, 1 at a time. You follow Jesus and don’t worry about what your neighbor is doing. Your neighbor will always disappoint you. But Jesus won’t.
@@kciwner I choose to follow the ways of the Orthodox Church in relation to the other, but yes you are correct. The focus is always on Jesus my brother 🙏
@@Kris_413 Amen
Everyone in the congregation is a sinner so no one in church is "better" or more holy than anyone else. However, condoning sin by incorporating and legitimising it is not biblical. So yes, they are guilty of apostacy.
Many shall depart from the faith Come lord jesus come
My parents left because they had a woman pastor who would get on social media and cuss and promote homosexuality. She eventually left her husband and is now with another man. What is wrong with this church, letting someone like that be a pastor?
church in Indiana now has a female pastor
It usually begins with female pastors, and ends in things like this! Ordaining women always opens the Pandora's box! Always!!!
I keep telling everyone it's not too late to become Greek Orthodox. No controversy, just truth.
Yes! This is part of the great falling away. Pray, Pray, and Pray some more that God intervenes and gives them a new heart and puts His Spirit in them. God is merciful, let’s ask God to have mercy on them🙏🏽🙏🏽
That is so very wrong against God’s word
The Methodists have sold out ! 💰
Yes, without question. I hope the Southern Baptists don't head that way.
Yes they're bringing the apostacy.
The Lutherans are going through something similar. Same for the Church of England.
Not all Lutherans. Please don't lump us all together.
Not only, UMC, ELCA, PCUSA, ABCUSA, UUA, TEC Fallen
@@tamianderson3977 Correct. Last I checked, The LCMS was Biblical. Not the ELCA.
Here in the Philippines, a church established by USA evangelical missionaries like UMC, Presbyterians, Congregationalist, etc in 1948 and named as United Church of Christ in the Philippines (UCCP) is now on the verged of conflict of division and break up because of Un Biblical teachings such as liberation theology-social gospel, tolerating LBTQ...lifestyles of church members...etc.
I left the Lutheran church 30+ years ago after the pastor refused to marry me at 19. He didn't feel like our marriage would last more than 5 years. We are still happily married to this day.
This is only the beginning.

I have lost my desire to go to church because of all the unbiblical nonsense going on in churches today.
Please don’t let the satanic church win. Please know that there are many other people who are faithful Christians.
You will NEVER find a perfect church.
We have “all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”.
So follow Jesus. Not a denomination. Not a church. Not even a pastor.
I used to start at a new church as a pastor and say “Don’t trust anything that I tell you. Lord willing, I will NEVER lead you astray, but your soul is more important.
Trust in Jesus the Christ only. 🙏
We are out of UMC & a bible based, bible believing, & bible preaching church. Praising God we got out with our property to continue spreading the gospel!💒
My church also made it out with our property and are moving forward.
They're lost. Apostacy. They tainted the word of God.

It's obvious that he meant that they are no longer teaching what's on the Bible.
Absolutely! Any time an organization allows or condones sin, they have become apostate. For the Bible readers, God has removed their candlestick.
They are no longer a faith, but a club. They should have the decency to remove the cross from their churches.
The UMC is over.

Yes as most churches are not preaching or following the whole Word of God. Most think God's commands were abolished. Which is a lie.
I don’t think that most people think that. Rather, they are fulfilled in Christ.
@@kciwner Fulfilled means to be made full, not to abolish once satisfied. So, if one is fulfilled by their spouse, does one say, ok, we can be unfaithful now. No, That's a misinterpretation of scripture.
@@cheryls3777 I didn’t say abolish. I said he fulfilled it.
@@kciwner Well most teach it that way, that we aren't under law but grace, which is abolishing His law, no matter how you twist it.
@@cheryls3777 we are under grace because the law was fulfilled in Christ. This is what Paul said from beginning to end. But that isn’t a license to sin. Nor in my lifetime have I ever heard a preacher say otherwise. I am 59 years old. I don’t know where you are from that you think most churches are teaching this. I’ve never seen it once. As far as not following the whole word of god, I’d say you are correct. Raising the dead, casting out demons, healing the sick, and praying for mighty signs and wonders are less common. Mostly just a lot of talking followed by no action. Maybe a few charitable works. End of story. I’m describing the North American Church. Across the ocean, a completely different story.
Absolutely guilty. If they are under any communion with Apostolic Churches, they must be rebuked and excommunicated. They have gone off into their own direction away from the doctrine of Christ.

As the apostle Paul warned us in the Scriptures....in the last days some will apostate from the truth.
There are still Bible churches in the US.
I'm praying that missionaries from Africa come to America to preach the Gospel.
They are waking with the world, not God's Word. That's how Sodom, Gomorrah, Babylon, Ubar, and others countries fell from grace.
The message to God from the United Methodist Church is that He had better keep up with the times if He wants to remain relevant.
Buh Bye UMC. So glad we left. The exit franchise fee was exorbitant but we are out!
They are also a dead church. The holy spirt is not present with the members anymore.
This is SO SAD‼️😫
Fulfilling the fleshly desires is not of God! Take up your cross and deny your fleshly desires daily! Those that indulge in their fleshly desires are not worthy of Jesus Christ!
Please, Please Please in Jesus Name if you Love the Lord run from these Churches that deny Scripture and live in Un-Confessed open Sin. Find a Church that teaches God's Word of Love, Salvation and Repentance.
The UMC is gone. I watched portions of their General Conference and was appalled by their mind-bending apostasy. No wonder people and churches are leaving in droves. The African UMC, where the denomination was strongest) thinks they have lost their minds. Indeed, they have along with their souls. There was no stronger voice in the world for the Gospel at one time than the Methodist church. Let's pray the Global Methodists pick up from where the believing Methodists were pushed aside.
