I can understand that, but if you look at all the products on the market, it's easier to categorize budget, mid-range and premium. It all depends on all the products on the market.
@@MartyExplainsTechI think that comment went right over your head. It's hard to know that the pc you saved for, and may only purchase once a decade, is considered mid-tier. Even with specs much higher than anything you've owned previously. Not a complaint, just a point.
Just bought one & am very happy with it. The 4060 version isnt good enough for gaming unless you're on medium settings, I tried that one first. Luckily the 4070 was on offer at £1399 so I swapped it out, plus some cash, for that.
Assuming that they have the same specs and performance, the Alienware M16 should be better overall, but the Dell G16 has a slightly better screen and portability.
How does something with the exact same specs and hardware perform any differently. This is something I can't understand and chalk up to marketing to gamer geeks
I know it can sound as a stupid question, but at the same price, would you choose a: Dell G16, GeForce RTX 4070 8Gb GDDR6, Intel i9-13000HX, 1Tb M2 SSD, 32Gb RAM with the 2560x1600 240Hz display or Asus ROG Strix G16, GeForce RTX 4060 8Gb GDDR6, intel i9-13980HX, 1Tb SSD, 16 Gb RAM with the 2560x1600 240 Hz Display ?
Its a good deal price to performance but.. Its weak on ports, believe only 1 usbc, and I think that charger is a deal breaker for me. I wouldn't mind the gigantic charger if it had a option to even slowly charge thru a usbc port. I have a Legion 5 and being able to charge it with a 95watt usbc charger has been a game changer for portability. Bringing its huge brick with it is a big inconvenience that gets old quickly
1:50 Just ordered the G16. You state that it can support up to 64GB of ram, Dell states it only supports up to 32. Can you or anyone that's purchased verify it supports up to 64??
I mean if you open up the laptop then you can see that there are two slots for ram, one is already used, while the other is empty. The reason companies leave one empty is to save money on production costs to make it cheaper. You can see this in 1:41 where there is only one stick of ram
Also I’m pretty sure you can get up to 4 tb of ssd? So this is a pretty customizable computer not just with specs but also settings, I just watched Jarrod’s Tech video on this computer so I recommend to watch that too.
ASUS has had major quality control and customer service issues lately basically making their warranties worthless. Worth paying more for a computer you know the company actually backs.

It's always a weird feeling to spend so much money on a product only to go on UA-cam and see tech guys calling it mid-range.

I just ordered the same spec the other day. Is it worth it?
I got the 4070 version for around 1000 GBP
I need a Dell G16 for my college program which is Interior Design and Interior Architecture. It’s a requirement.
Amazon sale got me itching to grab this bad boy 😅
Which is better in terms of performance, the Dell G16 or the Alienware M16 R2 model?

Just bought Dell G16 with i9 G4060 1Tb Hdd for $679 plus tax 😊

How are the speakers volume
Its way cheaper to get an ASUS F15, very similar specs with a 20% worse CPU and a Full HD 144Hz screen but its 600$ cheaper at best buy rn.
Full hd is only 1920 x1080p.This laptop has a 2560 x 1600 screen,which is a better screen.
Honestly i had an f15,the fans went bad io controller chip went bad got a dell g16 today instead of it
