In what part? Dean and Mineo were superb so no one could've done better than them. Driscoll could've had a decent career had he not gotten involved in the drugs that sapped his talent and eventually killed him.
One of the most tragic stories that of Bobby Driscoll. A great talent. As a child actor he gave marvelous performances like in "The window". He died too young, when much was expected from his own potential.
Just read the article in EW that says Bobby Driscoll was shut out at Disney Studios after RKO Pictures, owned by Howard Hughes, forced the studio to get rid of any child actors it had under contract. From there, it was a slow, downward spiral for Bobby that ended in an abandoned apartment in NYC. When police found his body there was no way to identify it, so his body is at rest in a Potter's Field. Where it could be conjectured this story would reach that conclusion easily enough if it weren't that all Loretta Young Shows ended on happy notes.
I read somewhere that police sent out pictures to see if anybody could recognize his body, but sadly, nobody could identify it. It's such a shame that he died alone at a young-ish age. 💔
@@vicfuentesmom9203 I'm sure that he just didn't look like people remembered him. If he was in an abandoned apartment building, obviously he was unkempt, unshaven and long hair. It was 1968 so he looked like almost any other hippy. Very sad that he was alone. May he rest in peace.
Wow, great actor and sad how his life turned out...all because of blemishes on his face...shame on Disney for how he was let go at the gate of the studio...most child actors have if ruff after they become adults
I liked some Loretta Young movies. I think that she was so much more interesting than people like Garbo or Dietrich, who were great photographic models, but not that good as actresses. Joan Collins was a B-version of Loretta Young. I wonder if Bobby Driscoll was gay? Interesting how he couldn't handle being the family man, and how he ended up at the Warhol Factory.
If he was properly mentored by those who benefited from his talent, he’d still be alive.
He was such a good looking, talented lad, so sad the way things turned out for him 💔😔 xxxx
So handsome .💕
Such a talented actor. I wish he had people who cared about him when he grew older. So tragic 😥. RIP
I know I feel you
Bobby and Loretta both really great in this!!!!
...what a talented actor Bobby was (RIP)... ... indeed!!!
Imagine how Bobby's life might have gone differently if he had been cast in something like Rebel Without a Cause.

@King Royal Agreed!
Absolutely!!
Okay Bobby is one handsome guy 🥰
Thanks for keeping these alive
he was an amazing actor.
Yes... he was an amazing actor .💕💕
Too bad someone wasn't able to do the same thing for Bobby in real life as he did for his fictional mother in this story.

RIP Bobby Driscoll (March 3 1937- March 30 1968)
😭
I wish I have a chance to meet bobby
Me too
His face really looks Peter Pan
and lionardo decaprio
That's because the Disney animators copied many of Bobby's expressions for Peter.
R.i.P Bobby 1968😢
Driscoll was a very talented actor with screen charisma. Such a horrible end for a gifted man.
Bobby Driscoll really was a talented and very handsome heartthrob of his time it's sad that his life was tragic
바비 드레스콜의 모습을 흑백이 아닌 컬러로 한번 보고싶네요ㅠㅠ오래오래 사셨더라면...ㅠㅠ너무 안타까움
😵💫😵💫😵💫🤤🤤🤤 I'm head over heels for Driscoll
Originally telecast on December 5, 1954.

@@vicfuentesmom9203 It may have been deteriorating, he also had no identification.
This episode was to have been rerun on NBC at 3:00 PM N.Y.T. on November 22, 1963, but was pre-empted for news coverage of JFK's assassination.
😭 bobby
