You all know, Rx 580 price are really going down right now , its very worth to grab the Rx 580 compare to the GTX 1060 , gtx 1060 is expensive just because of the brand , gtx 1060 price are still higher than rx 580 , of course rx 580 will be the better choice compare to the gtx 1060 because rx 580 have 4gb and 8gb vram mean while gtx 1060 only have 3gb and 6gb version
in my country used rx580 is literally just cost around 60$ - 70$ (even tho most were used mining cards) while used gtx 1060 cost 30$ more
Just bought one for $65
Here in my country an rx580 cost around 100$ and a gtx 1060 like 200$
Can get a 1060 for $80

Do not buy rx580, I am using it for 1 month. After using it for 1 month, it dropped to 40fps in Volorant. Simple game popyy lags even in Playtime. I do not recommend it. I will change it. It is very bad.

5500xt 8gb a beast really, its 36% faster than the 580 and 590 no doubt probably a full 50% faster than 1060 6gb mine was a master peace bro had asrock itx 5500 xt 8gb

Cpu bottleneck? Dual channel ddr4 3200mhz? Virus? Useless apps running in the background? Yeah you need to check that, I have rx580 but I got lower fps too since my cpu is old so it's bottlenecking my rx580, anyway goodluck friend 😁👌
@@eien2183 ended up fixing it with a config file from another video and it sorted it, but ive upgraded to a 6700xt now so get around 200fps depending on what im playing and situations

1060 3gb has not only vram less, it has lower all parameters then 1060 6gb, and 1063 looks like 1050ti super)) even 1050ti with 4gb have a higher performance when 1063 catches a vram bottleneck

Ponto negativo da RX 580 é que ela é exatamente igual as RX 480...consomem muito! São placas boas para jogar sim...mas o consumo dela fez com que ela nao seja uma boa escolha. Eu ainda tenho minha RX 480 8GB e troquei por uma RX 6400....consome no máximo uns 50w e entrega praticamente a mesma coisa.

I am using Rx 580 8gb a few weeks ago. Rx580’s performance is great , but the driver is a little bit bad and the encoder is so bad than NVIDIA gtx 1060, i think nvidia encoder is the best for gaming and recording video, so if you are a gamer , want a chip price to get a best performance just choose AMD RX 580, but if you want to record video i think you choose Nvidia GPU is better 😂

Its interesting to see the RX 580 still perfoming so good nowadays, but you used a gtx 1060 3gb, which is weaker than the actuall gtx 1060 6gb in numerous aspects, (it can be even weaker than a rx 570)

hey how come your gpu temps are so low? i lock my fps in a plague tale requiem to 30 and set the graphics on low but still my temps reach up to 75 degrees. whats your secret?
Maybe luck, you can try to replace thermal paste on your gpu.
Fyi, gtx 1060 price in my country cost more than rx 580 (some of seller place the same price of 3gb 1060 like 8gb rx 580) and almost close to gtx 1650 dr6 idk why
The Rx580 ist better for gaming, but if you need the Cuda cores for video editing, upscale video and tools like Photoshop ect. Is the old gtx1060 perfect.
Cuda will be more popluar in terms of software support but the popular powerful video edit apps use* opencl and direct compute for AMD GPUs including davinci resolve, Vegas and all the adobe products.
Be careful about old GPU because CUDA is not fast on these. To give an idea with a Blender benchmark, a 5800x CPU score 209 then 1060 3G score 219. In that kind of situation using CUDA wont provide any performance improvement. It will even end up a way slower on a serious project who need more than 3GB of Vram.

I have Rx 580 sapphire nitro 4gb but always freeze an force close everytime I play warzone on my core i3 12100f,ram 16gb,SSD nvme 256,HDD 500gb,PSU 650w + bronze.
If you overclocked then revert back to stock speeds. Could also be overheating? Try changing the thermal paste and updating your AMD drivers

Here is the difference, at 1080p high settings the 6gb outputs 80-100% more fps than the 3gb version. Also there are other differences besides vram between 3gb and 6gb models

The logical comparison to the 6gb 1060 (the top 1060 model) is the 8gb 580 (the top 580 model).
How is it unfair to compare a lower VRAM 1060 (even though 1060s on average have lower VRAM) vs a 580 with higher VRAM, bc it has a 1gb VRAM advantage, but it would be fair to give the 1060 a 2gb VRAM advantage by using the 6gb model?

This test is a joke bc the 3gb nvidia bottlenecks itself, logically you could extrapolate that a 8gb rx580 would also win over an 6gb gtx1060 but that's NOT the case.
Thus this test creates a false impression of Amd superiority at this particular price point.
