Really paired, and considering the RX 580 was launched to beat the GTX 1060, cause is an enhaced RX 480, the original GTX 1060 rival, not bad at all. Also lower power consumption for the nvidia card. In favor or the 580, the 2 extra GB
when in same settings they are almost the same, the 8gb allows to crank up textures
Good video
Thanks
Am using a geforce 1060 6gb here plays all the latest games smoothly. My sim driving is ATS, and ETS2 forza games play good as well
which gpu u got i have the same gpu with i5 4590 should upgrade it to i7 4790 ?
CS: 1060 and COD: 580 surprised me
I'm hesitating about which product to buy. 1060 6Gb rx580 8gb Cpu that I use i5 8500
wtf , we are in 2024
but what if both gpu are overclocked
5-10% more FPS
Why is there such a difference in CS2?
because of MSAA.
@@NJTechBenchmark is it because 580 has 32 ROPs and 1060 48?
can you test without anti-aliasing to see if there is a difference
CS2 without anti-aliasing, 580 vs 1060
GTX 1060 overclocking 202 MHz
nice
Is the 580 undervolted?
yh i think so , bcz mine avg is like 118-145w
Is there any fix, it should be 185 watts isn't it?. I heard u have to turn off the radeon chill@@BeastAsNoob
@@jazzone903 i believe if u increase power limit it can go upto 210watt
@@jazzone903 the one i use is asus dual which mostly goes 148-143w but i undervolt it to fixed 123w bcz im using 6pin to 8pin currently going to change psu to avoid hardware damage and yes i use Radeon chill too for fos games and single player games
if we talking about power consumption...the asus rx 580 dual oc has a power limit of 145w, apex legends pushes it to the max, reaching 140w. the 185w tdp is just part of the standard specs announced by amd, brands use different power limits for their cards.
Dude, gtx 1060 has 1911MHz, why it so high💀
its factory overclocked.
Lol mine is 2035mhz
👍👍
Did you overclock the GTX 1060???
No its factory overclocked
RX 580 draws 210+W
GTX 1060 draws 135W
so in power efficiency 1060 is better
efficiency = less heat = less noise
RX 580 supports DX12_0
GTX 1060 supports DX12_1
on directx support 1060 is better, so in theory it's more future proof.
RX 580 has better raw power and +2gb vram, however many games can't take advantage of that raw power
and on the driver side: even tho amd updates the drivers, they are just fix.
not a single support title(game)
so far gtx 1060 6gb wins when it comes to future proof
btw this doesn't prove anything when it comes to brand.
GTX700 series and R 200 on those amd had the upper hand DX12_0 vs DX11 of gtx 700
but the possibility that the gtx 1060 will be better in the future cause it has dx12_1 is there
Did you even watch the video? Where do you see the RX580 drawing 200W? Ignored the rest of your fanboy post after that.
@@lewzealand4717 software power reading is not total gpu power draw, not on old gpus anyway
nah just use fsr 3 fg mod and ur good to go
The only problem is performance wise dx12 is much better supported by rx 580 while dx11 is much better supported by gtx 1060. Dx12.1 does not any any meaningful things to pascal gpus or exclude polaris to run any game. 12.2 is the real upgrade that both does not support. Rx 580 with 8gb vram and driver finewine was much more future proof.
Do you really think that there is a game support for pascal gpus nowadays? Im a 7 years old pascal user here, for the last 2 years the "supported" games runs very poorly, a freaking gtx 1650 is much performant than gtx 1060 in ds remake... They fixed uncharted 4's pc problems for pascal (hw gpu sch.) one month later, than they broke it with the next driver.. What a supported gpu...
@@ysnyldrm73 Forspoken(DX12_1) doesn't run on rx580.
Alan Wake II runs poorly on rx580, and my guess is because it support less futures of DX than gtx1060 5:50
or maybe because there was no driver optimize for alan wake ii
doesn't matter the case, it shows that gtx 1060 is more likely to be in better position in the future.
ofc the ideal gpu right now is dx12_2, but we are talking about rx580vs1060
as for rx580 dx12 performance, it should be better if it isn't hold back from dx 12_1 or 12_2 futures or driver support.
However recently we see for example Starfield 8:43, remnant ii 10:21, skull&bones 2:03 that the new games don't optimize enough for the advantage to show
and Tekken 8 doesn't run better on rx580 etc
i don't know if the dev doesn't optimize for rx580, or if the problem is amd driver optimization since it had 0 supported/optimized titles on their last 2 drivers.
seems like the rx580 by force runs those games
"The RX 580 will perform like a 1080 over time, in fact it already performs like a 1070 or more"
- Typical comment from an AMD fanboy.
The worst of all is that there were many who believed these things.
And you posted it so you're the fanboy.
the only way to think that would be with spec only
for example
GTX1070
Shading Units 1920
TMUs 120
ROPs 64
SM Count 15(compute units)
Vs
RX580
Shading Units 2304
TMUs 144
ROPs 32
Compute Units 36
the problem is that the count of cores is not useful if the cores are weaker
the other problem is more cores usually need more memory bandwidth, rx580 is memory starved
i think that was the reason, amd used HBM memory on Vega gpus
im just guessing
@@zakur0978 There was also a clear difference in frequencies.
And well, at the level of architecture and drivers, much of the same. Same reason why VEGA 64 was at a similar level to a GTX 1080, having higher specifications than the 1080 Ti.
Em 2028 a RX 580 alcançará a RTX 4090.
@@zakur0978 Core clock as well, the GTX 10 series regularly boosts to 1900 MHz while Polaris runs at barely 2/3 that speed, that's a huge difference.
Gtx1060 wins, cause driver support for rx580 has been stopped.
Driver rx580 Has beeng stopped..?😂
no one won
Lookup at amd's website before spreading bs!
Wins what? What matters is FPS and they're about equal in these games. And AMD is still releasing drivers for Polaris though not as often as for the RDNAs.
@@MimiFattahYes. Go and search AMD discontinued polaris, Vega completely
Fake video
Да. Попались на Alan Wake 2
Fake How?
@@NJTechBenchmark ALAN WAKE 2 RX580 real 1-2 FPS.
