Considering that 1060 turned 7 years this year... I think its still faily capable and thats admirable for gpu that old.
Still... 580 is best price-performance card here but nearly all of them that you can buy used have been a part of mining rig.

I'm looking at this considering that the GTX 1060 used to be the most used GPU on Steam and now the slower GTX 1650 is the most used card.

in far cry6 both 1650 and 580 had more avg fps than 1060
And the rx580 was running way cooler
The gpu updates for gddr6 1650 are insane!! Can't belive a $150 gpu gives almost equivalent performance to $200+ gpu in modern gaming titles. There's only 5-6 fps difference most of the time. Plus, the gpu uses only 75w max.
1650 would have been a charm if there wad a 6gb vram version i wonder it might have performed better than these two cards

@@h10_i7 Hi! it's similar of my setup. With this you can run almost all games (some most recent can run in low fps). But if you want a pc that you can make stream and run the most part of games, this is a good setup. In future you'll just put a rtx and it's run all games
The gtx 1650 has a vram bottleneck

It looks nearly the same perfomance
In budget gpu comparisons you should consider adding power consumption.

for 150$ and gtx 1650is for 200$+.
best one to go with is rx580 it loads more fps than 1060 in a lot of games, the only bad thing about it is that it consumes a bit more electricity

I own an RX 580, GTX 1650, GTX 970 & RX 570. I am super impressed with how well the GTX 1650 smokes the GTX 970 & keeps up pretty well with the 570.

I had gtx 970, which is 3.5gb + 500mb slower memory. Of course the 1650 will be faster as it is newer by 5 years, that age in hardware is like comparing your grandpa to a 20 year old

In my country the 1650 ddr6 version can be had for 150 dollars. Not bad plus this bad boy consumes 75 watts of power. It's very efficient. If you just play games casually it's a good choice.

Hello guys,I have a Rx560 4gb rn with Intel i5 4th gen with 16 gigs of ram(DDR3),I have a choice I can either exchange my rx560 with a Rx580 8gb OR I can exchange my whole system,like someone offered my to buy my system except for my GPU and in exchange they'll give me a system that has intel i5 6th gen with 16 gb ram DDR 4 and has 3 RGB fans with of course a power supply and motherboard...I will have to pay them some money but is it worth it? Should i go for 580 or change my whole system and keep the Rx560? tbh my current system is kinda old like i still have DDR3 ram ):
just get the rx 580 much better option than having to change your whole system with only minor improvements.

Why they keep using GTA V as a benchmark, that runs at 60fps on any 7 year's old GPU
in fivem rp server, it's pretty hard to have 60 fps stable below 1060 3gb & GTA V is top games played among others

Yes it is. The RX580 is hotter and more consumption than GTX 1060 6GB. The performance are a few fps more... GTX 1060 6GB is 120w at full load and low temps.
The video doesn't really cover that many games, but yeah the 1060 6GB is still very capable compared to the 580. Most people online still only think AMD cards age better when in reality both have aged fine and the differences are not that great. I think if someone bought either card back when they released, then they made a pretty good long term purchase.

The GTX 1060 runs better on game's from the mid 2010's, The RX 580 8gb Runs Newer games wayyy better. Though it dosen't compare to the GTX 1060 on old games.

Honestly the Rx 580 8gb is a better choice it's cheaper , better value , price performance wise , and come with 8gb vram which is the norm and it can handle 1080p high settings for most games and some AAA balanced or original settings overall just buy it

La RX 580 consume más y calienta más que la GTX 1060 6GB. Justamente por eso en su momento elegí la GTX 1060 6GB y todavía la sigo teniendo. La GTX 1060 consume 120w en full load y no calienta nada... y si le pones el Afterburner no supera los 45ºc en full load, eso es muy bueno. Yo vivo en el Noroeste de Argentina con ahora mismo calores infernales de este verano y lo máximo en temperatura fue 47ºC después de 1 hora jugando al R-Type Final 2, el Afterburned en manual con los fanes al 60%.
Temperatura no es un factor para no escoger una gpu a menos que sea un defecto como la GTX 480, y lo que consume tampoco si vives en una zona que no es cara o no esta contada.
@@bladi-senpai9398 Claro, pero fijate que la diferencia es poca y en su momento prioricé el consumo. En algunos juegos iba mejor la RX 580 y en otro la GTX 1060 6GB. Ahora uso la RTX 2060 6GB OC pero igual sigo con la GTX 1060 guardada en la caja. Hace unos días le volví a terminar ya al Crysis 3 Remastered con la 1060 y el MSI Afterburned marcaba 47fps para arriba, en 1080p, monitor de 60hz y todo en muy alto... todo fluído. Asi anda la 1060 hoy en día.
Lo mismo con Halo Infinite también más de 45 fps todo en alto. Después probé la RTX 2060 que ya anda a mucho más. Pero los juegos lo jugué con la GTX 1060 y andan muy bien.
Esta GTX 1060 me reventó una fuente Thermaltake 850 modular... notaba que todo calentaba mucho cuando entonces jugaba por horas, pero varias horas al Call of Duty World War II y la fuente fué... empezó con reiniciadas, cuelgues y eso era... Hasta mi esposa que no entiende nada se dió cuenta que la GTX 1060 quemó esa fuente de tantas horas y casi todo el día jugando a ese juego que la exigía al 100%... Eso fué 3 o 4 años, solo cambié la fuente por una más barata, la Thermaltake Smart 700w pero ya no juego tantas horas, y la GTX 1060 sigue andando igual de bien como el 1er. día. Antes de ayer la saqué y puse la RTX 2060 y creo que va andar bien con la fuente.
Pero la RX 580 si consume más y hay diferencia... todo esto hablando de muchas horas o o casi todo el día jugando y todos los días. Un par de horas no le hace nada. Pero cuanto menos consuma la VGA mejor. Saludos

Finally a more realistic comparison then the rest of the bs crap that you find on the internet. :)
when i googled, it told me that the 1650 Super is 85% faster than the RX 580 in PUBG (i mean, who the hell did that benchmark, and did they unplug the RX 580 and run it on the intel integrated by mistake ?!
The RX 580 easily beats the 1650 and the 1060 , and many comparisons they dont use more VRAM since of the limit, so they need to run the RX 580 in a lower setting since 1650 cannot compete. And for me, that is like having a race between two cars, but then say that the faster car needs to slow down so the slower car can have a chance to compete.. so it is never really a faire race, let that 1650 super run out of the VRAM and see how well it will manage against the RX 580 in a true apples to apples comparison.
Also, would be really nice to see someone OC the RX 580 to release the true potential of the card, sine it has ALOT of OC Headroom and see what it can trade punches with.

Hello. Does anyone have
experience with gigabyte gtx1060 6gb winforce video card? I own this piece of shit and the cooler is undersized with only one cooling pipe, something you quickly notice when playing. the card gets relatively high in temperature and the fans start to run fast and then make quite a lot of noise.
temperature B takes some time to drop again in temperature, which is a bit unusual since you are used to the cpu dropping relatively quickly in temperature after the Intel burn test.
People say that 80c is normal and that the card can withstand this. But still, 80c is a bit on the high side! you will then get a noisy card.
fans can reach almost 3000rpm, which is unusually high for fans. here they have saved money on heatsinks and instead chosen fans that can blow a lot of air
The fans also have a lot of complaints from people about a lot of rattling noises and other noises.
my old gigabyte gtx660 2g oc had an incredibly good cooler with 4 cooling pipes. it should be said that this was Gigabyte's reference cooler.
