I am a legal immigrant and now a full-pledged US citizen, so my perspective is coming from that. What I have observed from US-born Americans is that, they can be kind, nice and smiling. They are also the most generous people on earth. Many would donate to just about anyone who needs help even if they are not rich themselves. But if their way of life, livelihood and existence are threatened, their enemies will know hell. It will not matter their creed, race, political affiliation or religion. They are not pushovers.

While our military may have been a bit over extending in foreign affairs at times for the most part we haven't been trying to destroy or take over the earth by military force. Preety impressive a global super power actually wants to make the world better instead of just forcing people using war. I think Russians and Chinese people actually see this and decided long ago to get on the earth team. Hopefully we can all continue to get along but my thinking is that future strain on global resources will lead to confrontation weather we like it or not and the entire world might fight over a few small resource rich areas which is a shame if it comes to that. The solar system is abundant with resources and energy if we only worked together we can reach those potential milestones which could set us on an intergalactic pathway. There is a math question here, are the chances we develop fast enough to achieve that goal in the realm of possibility before we begin being resource starved and fight ourselves to mutual death?

True. Even if the scenario is horrible, and a ground forces or bombing campaign could penetrate say, gulf coast Texas, i could maybe imagine car dealerships releasing vehicles to authorities to use for injured or elderly civilians trying to evacuate. I really do think in such a horrible scenario like that, common people would band together by barrios, neighborhoods, blocks, even apartment complexes to fight enemy forces. As long as we could have proper modern trained, skilled, military leadership to command the field. Say a regular Army Lt. with a Sergeant First Class, to direct formations and fire control. Air Force would direct civilian aircraft for mission priority etc.
Hell, as long as civilians have responsible military leadership, we can help, and fight. Assist in injured evacuations, supply delivery and guard post duty. Of course military and civil defence has already thought of these situations and has plans...I hope.

Technically, you can't consider us as the mainstream civilian population as many of us are combat experienced and HIGHLY trained. Most all of us are well armed and ready to pick up at a minutes notice. A great majority of the "1.2 firearms for every person" is mainly in the hands of us and there are MILLIONS of us across all age groups and, experience. The Norfolk naval base is the largest in the world, the base always has at least 3 aircraft carriers(witch is more than any other country has total). The U.S. has 11 Super carriers. The Navy is required by law to maintain that number. At any given time, 5 will be at sea.
I don't believe 3 carriers are based out of Norfolk.
You may be confusing Amphibious Assault ships for carriers. To the untrained eye, it's easy to do as they look very similar.

There is no national registry of firearms in the United States (at least, there shouldn't be, there is a law against forming one). And there are far more than 120 million. Estimates put the actual number somewhere between 300 million and 600 million. Currently the US is selling new firearms to civilians at a rate of over one million per month - sometimes much more. And many of those are AR-15 platform rifles, which are compatible with US military logistics chains for ammo and most spare parts. The US population is well armed, and getting more so by the day.

He mentioned getting on a train "and I still believed my Germany could win" and then he details how he passed towns, fields, and factories, "and I still believed my Germany could win." I'm out there and a player says, "attack the ball, run up and stand there and put your glove up to catch it just before it hits you in the forehead." Very cool. Another player came up and, like a ghost from baseball past said, "in the heyday of baseball, they would have a keg of beer at third. @@dgillphotos Lmao, if you want to hear about tradition coming from HS sports, I'll oblige. I marched in the band in HS. I remember, freshman year, there was a guy playing bass drum, and he had to dodge me one day since I didn't know what I was doing. He pulled me aside after that run, "Look. Next time, I'm not dodging you. I'm just going to run you over, I don't fucking care." And that became my own attitude later on, telling that same line to the color guard and the like, but what he said straightened me out real quick.
I moved onto college marching, and I was told, "if anyone gets it your way, you run them over. It doesn't matter who they are, at that point they're just an obstacle." And my college was actually known for running over reps and preventing the team from playing if they came out early.
Then I went into the military. And at that point, the previous statement wasn't just a suggestion, it was law. If someone is in your way, you correct that manually. No formation breaking, no hesitation. If you have to physically walk over them, then that's what you do. Kinda weird getting to progress through that, and at the same time travelling back to the source.

The biggest enemy of the people in the USA is the US Government.

The only threat we need to worry about is from within.

From my (German) perspective one threat was completely missed which is the destruction of the US by their own population. The US is a deeply polarized nation due to having only two relevant parties. Mistrust in the oposing political party and mistrust in the election process may one day lead to armed riots. If a state is heavily biased towards one party and doesn't accept a new president, I wonder if a fragmentation might then occure, where states who oppose the election results band together and the US breaks into two states.
It might also be that one of the parties becomes extremely unpopular because of big scandals or whatever. If this ever happens, then the popular party might get enough popularity and might to oppress the opposition. Building a one party state where elections are mostly just there to keep up the facade of being a democracy doesn't seem so far fetched if you realise how incredibly easy it is to control public opinion by simply owning the main stream media.

The CIA owns the mainstream media and have for decades. They have their own agenda at this point and push whatever is beneficial to them at any given point.

By far this is 100% the biggest threat to the US the fact that the only civil war we’ve had has essentially been over election results shows that, and not much has changed since then when you look at more recent events like the storming of the capitol building back in Jan 6th

One thing many people miss about that pipeline attack was that it only effected the accounting deparment of the company (not the operations of the pipeline directly). The company shut down the pipeline since they could no longer track and charge the customers correctly. The point being, many people don't even think about all the routes of attack that are possible to undermine someone.

I’ve been in my neighbors gun locker room once in my life. It’s a gigantic fucking cellar filled with these huge ass gun vaults spanning wall to wall. I remember the dude told me once that he had like a total of 350+ firearms in that room alone.
