It's a shame Subway got so big, at the expense of other better sub places. Blimpie's for example (not sure if it was a NYC only spot or not) had amazing subs back in the day, and Subway basically just destroyed them.

I met the owner of Firehouse Subs years ago when he opened a new store in a mall I was doing security at. 1. Love his support for first responders. 2. Great guy. 3. Love those subs. Good variety, good flavor and they actually feel like a meal. You can definitely order another, but it'd be because they tastes so good, not because they didn't fill you up. Won't be any secondary food stops like you do after going to McDonald's. 4. Jerry's Subs had a beast sub years ago.......absolute monster. Ate that while watching 24 on Mondays.
As someone who has a loved one working at Jimmy John’s I can definitely say their sandwiches beat out Subway. Now if you’re looking for a BEAST? They have a sandwich on the menu called the GARGANTUAN which has every meat at their disposal plus their toppings. It is HUGE
At Jimmy John's, my favorite is the Gargantuan (looks bigger than both of those). The Jimmy John's here in Waukesha do it right, and I have never gotten a Gargantuan that wasn't packed full and met my carnivore tastes. Check 'em out, Daym!

This IS the ONLY franchise i walk out of with 15 to 16 fewer dollars in my pocket and I'm extremely happy about it. My choice is the Half-Giant Turkey BLT, The half is enough to feed me, i'm 6 foot 5 270 pounds, deli quality right here for sure. I also like Wegman's Hoagies, but Jersey Mike's is worth every penny.
The one big advantage that Subway has is the fact Subway is everywhere and Jersey Mike's isn't everywhere so there are a lot of people who have never tried Jersey Mike's subs. I enjoy Subway they have good subs in my opinion.
I was thinking that the SW beast had double meat, but it has double provolone. Man the JM custom beast looked good. After watching the SW The beast video I ended up going to JM and got their super club; So Good!

Jersey Mikes is best here in my area for quick, not Mom&Pop places. Firehouse Subs is their own creation as many hot subs and I appreciate their charitable services to firefighters.
Subway's version of "double meat" is basically them putting the meat horizontally on the bread, so when you close the sandwich it folds and looks like double. Look at Daym's subway review and youll see it.

Damn! You're making me want to end my boycott of JMs! Went in once a couple years ago in Wallingford and got ignored by 5 employees for 5 minutes (per their own clock) They were all soooo busy to even say "Be right with you." I left and never went back. My loss I guess.
