NEW Mercedes EQA 2021 review: this or an Audi Q4 e-tron?

The Mercedes-Benz EQA might not have the numbers to match the Q4 e-tron, VW ID.4 or Hyundai Ioniq 5, but it brings a level of luxury currently unavailable at this price range.
For £45,000, you get leather seats and some of the best interior tech you'll find in a production car. Sure it's 265-mile range courtesy 66.5kWh battery isn't what you'd call class-leading, nor is the 100kW charging speed, but as a whole the EQA is a solid second attempt at a mass-produced EV from Mercedes. What's more the EQA is based on the same underpinnings as the piston-powered GLA. Sure it comes with some flaws (small boot, awkward rear seats), but the EQA is a real statement of intent from a company looking to become a tech leader.

Was on my company car scheme list and within my budget but lack of boot space ruled it out. Nice looking car and has the Merc cachet of course but just too small for £45K - went for a Q4 E-Tron instead as has loads more room for the price and is just as nice a car.
