I just saw a miracle occur right before my eyes! This was just fabulous all the way around, you pay such attention to detail and repair to perfection. Your designs are gorgeous. There is a makers mark challenge coming up, just Google "makers mark challenge" it's quite elaborate, your pieces would give them all a run for their money! Super job!!
Good for you - contributing to Art Deco preservation! ... btw - Cincinnati's Union Terminal (now Museum Center) is one of the most amazing Art Deco bldgs. ever.
Really beautiful work on both of your videos so far! I watch on 2x speed so the 20s music is a bit much for me, but that's a personal preference. If others like it, then happily keep it. I'll just put on mute. Excited to see more of your work. Thanks again
Excellent video! Beautiful work. I've never heard of lacquer powders. I did try adding dye pigments to lacquer ONCE & as you can imagine, it was a giant FAIL. I will have to learn more about lacquer powder. Oh, btw, VERY nice shop and surroundings. Wow, it's really beautiful. 🥰
You do an amazing restoration! What are these “lacquer powders”? And , if I may…why do you use lacquer spray as opposed to good old polyurethane? Inquiring minds want to know! Thanks!
Thanks so much! The powders are made by Mohawk. They are lacquer based, so after using them for touch up work, you need to go over top of them with lacquer.
Technically speaking, automobiles didn’t influence furniture design, they came from the same design impulse and visual language of the day. Strictly speaking, pieces like this are not Art Deco, but the later Art Moderne/Machine Age aesthetic. Nice work!
A new Supplier of great content!...thank you...your Soundtrack choice is just right for the period...this is an interesting piece of Modernist...very NYC...the black 'extras' work, though on such a small piece I am not sure if it would have been attempted by the maker...dgp/uk

Ohh, thank you for the heads up, and for such generous praise! We will look that challenge up.
Really great restoration friend, look's great to say the least, have a nice day !!!. Brian UK !!!.😀👍.
Art Deco is very interesting !
Everytime I think you can't do better than you do!!!!!
A beauty, thanks. The black sections are what makes this piece stand out.
Love the grain!!

@@riverview9320 wow, we will check that out, thanks!
Beautiful restoration. I have a huge console from the Art Deco period that could use your kind of treatment.
Those pieces on the sides…🤌🏻. I love these videos. Can’t wait for the next one🎊🎉💯🍾
We appreciate you!
I admired and am impressed with your work. I usually am against painting old wood but I enjoy watching you create something new from something old.
Thank you! Yes, it takes very careful consideration.
Totally gorgeous!
Beautiful work!

Noted, thank you! 2X would be a bit crazy with 20’s music, haha.
Looks fantastic 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Can’t wait to see your next video
More coming soon! Thanks so much.
Very nice. Thank you for posting your work.
Thank you for stopping by Montford Boulevard!

@@OwlingDogDesign thank you! Yes, learning new techniques here as well. There’s always more learn.
Did you purchase the powdered stain as a kit or individually? And, whhere
We buy them individually at our local Mohawk dealer.

@@ArtDecoFurniture thank you! I think I need to invest in these! ❤️. I believe you said poly can go over leaguer, but not vice versa.
We’ve all found that out the hard way. 😢

It's our restoration that's Art Deco automobile inspired. And yes, this piece is Art Deco. 1930's.
