    Scott! You’re a lifesaver! Every year I forget how to do this and every year I watch you show me how.

    I've been in this house for two winters and I've watched this video two years in a row. Maybe I'll remember to hold the knob down next year.
    Thank you for the video.

      Same… this is just our second year tho. First year we moved in, in December so it was already lit. But this video does the trick fast and every time. I’ll be back next year too 😂

    Scott it's 2022 and I just had this problem, thanks for sharing this it helped me a lot and save what I"m sure would've been a lot of most in repairs. Turn the knob to Pilot and push in the ignitor and I was good to go.

    I’ve had a Beautiful fireplace for 22 years from heat and glow. I have had servicemen come out to look at it since instillation and they tell me that there’s nothing wrong with the product but it has a terrible odor when I turn it on which makes me very sad. They tell me that the odor should go away with time but it never has. Can someone tell me is there a fix for this problem? I really would like to use it but am unable to since it smells awful.

      I have the same issue and rarely use it for that reason. I also wish there was an answer.

    While no single video on this topic is complete, this video ties it all together in the simplest and easiest to understand way.

    Possibly a stupidquestion, but why does the glass front need to be removed when lighting pilot?

  • @mumblinge5892
    @mumblinge5892 2 роки тому +3

    Like so many others I find myself referring to this video yearly. However, my only complaint/comment is I wish you had gone into more detail about removing the decorative front and the fixed glass assembly and then replacing them.
    So thanks for the video but a little more information would be nice.

    On mine, I can't see where the spark is supposed to be. I tried to light the pilot unsuccessfully so maybe there's no spark. New house btw, so, new at this

    REMINDER: Make sure you clip all four clips in the corners of the glass when putting it back on. They time lapse over this in the video shown.

    Heat and Glow fireplace - 6000TR
    Help would be greatly appreciated. Fireplace doesn’t ignite. Pilot light stays on. New thermopile, we have juice at the gas valve but burner will not light. We have checked all wires and all knobs are on (and not in the pilot position). It has a wall switch. Thank you!

    My pilot would not lite, tried cleaning, noticed by trying to lite at the pilot with a lighter that the lighter flame didn't even flicker, so i shut off the main leading into the control box, disconnected the line going into the box, turn the shut off value back on and no gas was coming out, what am i missing here, thank you

      Jennifer Lopez The gas knob may be turned too low for a fire to bloom. Reach out to your local HeatnGlo dealer as they can best provide hands on troubleshooting.

      This was a defect with certain Honeywell control valves. You can sometimes get the pilot to stay lit by turning the knob to "on" VERY SLOWLY

  • @cobyhill2227
    @cobyhill2227 Рік тому

    I think the step where you turn the gas on was left out of this instructional video. If the pilot like is off, I'm pretty sure that the gas should be off as well.
